Food tastes good but they should split the receipt between take-out and dine-in. I am not paying the tip for both! I believe this is common sense to split it.
Great comfort meal. The soup was rich and warm, dumplings were soft and satisfying, and the kimchi had a nice kick. Fresh, hearty, and consistently good quality. Perfect on a cold day.
One of my favorite Korean restaurants in town! You can tell the food is prepared with care here, like home cooking with good ingredients. I went here this time to eat rice cake and dumpling soup to celebrate the lunar new year, and it hit the spot! Service is fast and side dishes are simple but they taste good.
The mandu here is perfection! The sooyuk is also great. I wish the portion on the pea jelly was bigger for the price but it tastes amazing as is. Very simple banchan with just a cabbage kimchi and a white cabbage kimchi but both taste authentic and well pickled. Very traditional in the sense of service where no one is going to hover and you need to ask for things vs waiting for them to come over and ask but the aunties hand wrapping the mandu look over to make sure you get someone if you need.
I was visiting NJ from MD and bought their frozen homemade mandu (dumpling) for takeout. It was the best! I am a foodie and super picky about the quality of mandu. It definitely exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended!
The waitress may be related to owner, that is why she is still working there. She was incredibly rude and made us feel like we were a burden just for being there. The attitude and lack of basic courtesy ruined the whole experience. Definitely not coming back. No food will be tasty when you experienced such bad service.
We had a lovely meal! I loved that the meal started with some Hobak-juk. It had a subtle sweet taste and smooth texture. The Banchan were a pickled white cabbage and a traditional kimchi. The pickled cabbage had a great balance of sweet and salt. To start we had the hand made dumplings which were filling and delicious! Finally, the Gamjatang had a great rich flavor and the meat was very tender. Looking forward to coming back!
The restaurant offers excellent traditional Korean dishes, including some rare finds. The flavors are subtle yet delicious, with the standout being the dumpling soup. The homemade dumplings and the soup are exceptional, savoring every last drop.
The food was solid and felt healthy, but because of that, it may be perceived differently by person. I enjoyed the mandoo from the man doo guk which is authentic.
Their food is absolutely 5 stars! Not heavily seasoned, but still tasty! We LOVE their kimchi which can be refilled, but when we wanted to take it out with others left over, the Korean ajumma just said one word: No!
No? I confirmed. NO! She said. I respect the restaurant’s policy. At least give us some explanation or put a sign on the wall so we were aware of.
If they dump the leftover kimchi in trash, I can't think of any reason why they don't let their customer take home.
On the recommendation of a local business owner, I decided to visit this restaurant nestled in the nearby shopping plaza. Unfortunately, locating it proved challenging due to its inconspicuous signage.
Upon entering, I faced a communication barrier with the crew, as their English was not very clear, which made understanding them rather difficult. Additionally, there was a lack of warmth and empathy in their interaction, which fell short of creating a welcoming atmosphere for customers.
The food, while decent, was not impressive, with the flavors and quality just falling under par. Coupled with prices that felt a bit steep, the overall dining experience didn't provide the value I was hoping for.
Given this experience, I won't be making a return visit. It's always a good idea to consider other customers' experiences and feedback before deciding where to dine.
A true authentic Korean experience. The portion size is relatively smaller than regular restaurants, but the experience is very unique. The Bi Bim Bop was delicious, ingredients were fresh, the Sul Lung Tang broth was rich, however there is not too much beef in it. Our server was nice, explained what is the tea that was served. I would say it’s was a bit pricy considering the size of the dish, but the quality of the food was above average for sure.
I went to this place often. We loved their service and dishes even it is more expensive than other places. However, recently we just disappointed with their service and taste.. provided so small portions of food. I tried to go soup for my kids and they filled only 2/3 of the reg containers. I complained them. But she said it is normally they give like this to customers. 2/3 Sul lung tang and this is $18???? None sense!!!!!
Not recommend this place anymore.
Delicious Korean Food & really delicious dumpling soup! I love it that they don’t use a lot of salt / salty ingredients on their food - it tastes so healthy and not taste like other places where they dump so much MSG. You can also buy pre-made frozen dumplings to as well.
Side note:
I’ve noticed the workers & the lady owner in the corner of the restaurant making the dumplings, but it seemed to me that the dumpling skin was purchased - like it was perfectly round as if made in a factory, and was inside those clear plastic wrappers that was sealed.
So I asked the server if they actually make the dumpling skin as well. She suddenly lowered her voice and said they don’t make the skin, and make only the insides because it will take too much time. She lowered her voice even lower and added, the owner told the servers to tell all the customers that they even make their own dumpling skin. Lol!
Anyways, it doesn’t bother me that the dumpling skin is made elsewhere, and will continue to purchase my dumplings from here lol

Away from the better known bustle of Broad Ave, if you manage to make your way through the din of cars trying to find a spot in front of Hmart, you’ll find Soram tucked in the back of the parking lot.
The predominant word I’ve heard used to describe Soram’s food: 깔끔해. Roughly translated — clean and polished. When you get there, you may see an ahjumma folding unutterable amounts of filling into dumpling skins, parents fussing over a child’s dirtied shirt, or two boisterous old men sharing a drink. More likely, you’ll see my partner and I nursing hangovers over hot bowls of seolleongtang.
My family loves this restaurant for their relaxed and calming atmosphere, stone and porcelain tableware, and most importantly, for the taste of a home cooked meal by someone who *really* knows their stuff.
Everything is thoughtful and with intention. You’ll see what I mean when you get there

To people who are used to instant and spicy korean food, the food here may be a bit bland but it's authentic, no-frills, clean korean food that tastes like they used the same recipe as your great-grandmother. So so good. Their famous dumplings are amazing.
Unassuming place with great food. Menu has a well thought out format without having every single possible korean dish. Large and small entrees include mostly familiar or homestyle well executed options, but a few are less standard. Banchan is also above par and fresh. Service is really helpful. the place is the perfect size and very chill. I'd come back multiple times.
Good service, delicious and quality home-style Korean food. Great Galbi Tang (beaf short rib soup) which was not on their new menu, but you can order with them directly. Would come again!
