Recently, I reached out to American for a hard-to-find part. I needed it for my car to pass inspection, so it was critical that I find it. American had the part there, but when they pulled it, it didn't meet their quality standards, so they wouldn't sell it to me...honest people!! Good so far, but the story gets better.
Since they're not the type of folks to just dump any old part on you for the sake of the sale, they started to reach out to other yards, pushing their search farther out each time, but each time not finding anything that met their standards for sale. Finally, they felt so bad that they couldn't find me a decent used part, (they knew the background of my situation and that I really needed to keep my car rolling), American found me a brand-new part!! And they didn't charge me the difference from used to new...they took the hit themselves!!! Who does that in today's world? Only wonderful caring decent people!!!

Recently bought a rear subframe for my vehicle. The one thing that stood out to me the most is when I called to ask on the progress, I was told the subframe that they had pulled wasn't good enough to sell and they had to pull another one. I appreciated that as I work in the auto industry and understand Subaru rear subframes are hard to find in decent condition.. mostly rust issues! The one I received was in great condition. My car rides just as good as it did before!! Huge shoutout to everyone! Oh, and they're all super friendly too!!
Great company to work with! I went thru a 3rd party that uses American Used Auto Parts to tow my vehicle away. There was mixup on the date and time of my pickup (not American Used Auto Parts fault). When Scott (the owner) discovered the mixup, he personally called me to make arrangements for the pickup and he personally drove the tow truck and picked up my vehicle. He apologised for the mixup even though it was not his fault. Awesome service! Thank you Scott for making this experience a positive one and will go thru you instead of that 3rd party for my future towing.
If you want to hear all about there issues, and listen to them blame blame blame others for there lack of professionalism and take absolutely no responsibility what’s so ever. Well then you came to the right place….. it’s sad to say the least. Although they clearly find it funny. Also clear that they could care less about you, your situation, your time or there own reviews… good luck if you go here, be sure to be prepared for some kind of disappointment I mean read the reviews.
Purchased a car from me with a seized engine, provided a fair price, picked up and didn't play any games with it. Paid for it in full as agreed upon. Seems like an honest shop.

Drivers don't care about cyclists.. contacted, said they would get back to me... never did.... state law says 5-6 feet at 50-60 mph... honked his horn to perhaps scare me?
So far they haven't had any of the parts I have needed but they did give me a decent amount for the old catalytic converters that I replaced. The lady behind the desk is friendly and seems to genuinely care about helping you out if the business can.
I've been going to American used auto parts for over 20 years. Scott always takes care of me with excellent craftsmanship and great prices. He's a really good guy who will do everything you can to help you. This last time I had a deer run into the side of my truck. Scott was able to replace the damaged part and paint it and did a wonderful job.
If you are looking for a place to take your car to be fixed DO NOT bring your car here. This place screwed my mom over and made her pay $1100 dollars when they did absolutely nothing to fix it. The guy charged her for appointments that she never made and did not fix the initial problem her car had. I would not suggest going here under current ownership. The father that used to run this business was much more fair and actually fixed problems instead of dilly dallying around. As far as customer satisfaction I would give a zero if I could. What this place did to my mom is completely unacceptable!
The only garage I take my car to! They're always so friendly, informative, and helpful. Best prices around! I had my transmission replaced, after calling several garages American Auto was by far the kindest and best priced. They were very honest with me and were kind enough to warn me of other possible issues I should check for before having an expensive repair done! My car came out great, a big thank you to all the guys!
bought a transmission from them for my business , delivered the parts after we installed it the tranny was bad, called them several time to get another one but no luck at all kept playing games with us, ended up buying from another place and disputing charge with my credit card company since they refused to refund my money back.
Avoid them. Not recommended at all
I bought a transmission and drove 6 hours to pick it up, after installed the transmission is not good, I tried to call their number but they are not answering their phone, I drove again 6 hours to drop back the transmission and claim my refund through my bank and paypal resolution center. I will not recommended anyone.
For my business...I purchased two parts over the phone. It took two days for delivery after a guarantee for next day local delivery. The following day they delivered one of the two parts. The part they delivered had a hole in it. They promised to comeback immediately to deliver the second item. They did not. Customer doesn't get his truck until Monday...actually Tuesday since the technician isn't in on Monday. Not very fond of this experience....at all.
