Towed my car out of my parking spot at my apartment and told me I wasn’t supposed to be parked there when I live here and am absolutely aloud to park there, absolute joke of a tow company definitely just looking for the money. If you look deeper into this company’s reviews you will find people stating the same thing I am.
I highly recommend Performance Towing & Recovery for your towing needs. I just used them to tow my travel trailer to the dealership to get serviced.They showed up on time and was very professional. It was a smooth experience from start to finish. I'll be calling back for a tow once my trailer is ready to be picked up!
When AAA told me they couldn't tow my broken boat trailer(not even for cash) the pros at prefomance towing got me off the road in no time. Thank you Steve and the guys!
Absolutely worst experience ever had. The crew working on Sunday night, day before Memorial Day, towed my car from the red arrow parking lot (per usual). There was no signs but sometimes it happens so I wasn’t too upset about it being towed because I wasn’t sure if I checked 100%. It was everything that occurred after. The three men working were rude and began yelling and raising their voices when I told them I had no cash (because nobody said anything in the phone!!). The woman on the phone was so extremely rude, was cursing at me and yelling to the point I had to hang up. The men started to get agitated when I was simply asking questions to gather more information on how I could receive my car back, my property. I was alone, as a woman, and did not feel safe what so ever that I actually left. Getting my car back the next day was no where near easy and nobody was helpful. The guy that answered the phone this time was also extremely rude and got upset when I called because he had to leave “something he was doing” and I was supposed to call 20 minutes before arriving (again, how would I know!) and grunted when I told him I had arrived. I have submitted a request to the City of Manchester to pay another company to do their towing because this was an actual terrible experience.
Needed to have a vehicle towed on a dangerous stretch of road. Driver had me wait in his vehicle while he did what he needed to do with the vehicle. Driver was polite, professional and explained what he needed from me. Very thankful to how quickly they were able to respond. Pricing was very competitive with others in the area.
Had to have body work done. Body guy was able to match the paint exactly, and was able to redo the pinstripe. All said and done you’d never know there was any damage. All employees and owner that I spoke with were all very professional. They didn’t try any salesman gimmicks about was happened and they dealt directly with my insurance company.
Rick was so understanding and helpful. They have a real crappy job to do, not that they want to but they have to do. people should really understand that. They really helped me out and saved me a little cash when they knew what happened. Thank you so much Rick for being such a nice guy and helping out.

My friends cars got towed for parking next to Red Arrow (parked for 20 mins before they got shipped out). Charged $225 each. When we got to the lot the guys were rude and bragged about how they "got us" and would have gotten my car too - as if they were sad they didn't get to. Made all of us feel super creeped out and had no regard for our comfort or basic decency. Our server said they prey on out of state license plates too. What kind of lack of moral fiber do you have to have a business model where you prey on one of Manchester's most beloved institutions' clientele? We're just broke college kids! I'd bet $225 the owner of this business likes taking candy from babies.
Losers. Like many others my car was towed outside the red arrow diner. Not a single sign in front of any of these spaces stating your vehicle would be towed. When we called the company to see if our car was there she mentioned nothing about it being cash only. We get there and the driver tells us we need cash and that the operator told him we hung up on her before she could tell us? Not true. Super shady losers that sit around and wait for someone to park there just to tow you 30 seconds later. Trash.
It was at 6:30 AM when I had to get my unregistered car home, I gave these guys a call. The guy came by 10 minutes later and was able to get my car home. Very nice guy and he drove carefully. Only $95 for an in-town tow.
John was extremely helpful. Went above and beyond what he had to do trying different things to try and help me before I had to send it off to the mechanic. Will definitely use their services again excellent!
Be Aware This Is A Predatory Towing Operation. These guys wait around the corner from the Red Arrow Diner. They have a spotter who sits outside the diner and calls them as soon as anyone parks in what looks like the diner’s lot, but is actually a private lot. There is a sign that indicates that it is a private lot, but the spotter sits in front of it so you don’t notice it when you come in.
Then they hit you for minimum $225 cash only.
This guy creeps around Manchester all night. Watch your back.
If there ends up being a class action suit against these people, I hope I’m included. I took my three children to red arrow diner after a 6 hour drive and did not even eat in the restaurant - we walked in and realized we’d be better off eating what we had in our cooler in the trunk because we are already struggling with cash, so I figured I’d use what we had to take them to breakfast in the morning instead. We walked in and out of the restaurant in a total of about 5 minutes. I get back to the parking lot with my kids and a heavyset woman hater had my car jacked up sideways on his towing truck. There is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY he wasn’t sitting there waiting and watching us. He then demanded $250 in cash or it would be towed. $250, which according to the other reviews I’m seeing here is the highest amount so far. I’m having trouble understanding why I was charged so steep - I drive a Toyota Camry, very obviously not rolling in dough.
I asked him if there was any possible way he could let it slide this one time as I genuinely can not afford a quarter thousand dollars be taken from me, he said no with zero sympathy. I had to walk to the bar down the street with my kids and take the money out, went back and handed it to him in tears. Then it got even worse - he laughed at me. He took his time counting the money and actually laughed. I couldn’t believe someone could be so cruel after everything he was already putting us through. He was also very rough with my car when he took the hook off and I’m going to take it back to a friend to make sure there aren’t any damages.
The only thing I’m thankful for is that I was able to get to my car before it was actually towed - I never would have been able to afford a hotel stay or the cost of transportation to get my car back. You people must have such a lack of dignity within yourselves. I can’t imagine what introspection feels like for any one of you
Our tow truck driver, Jonathan, was friendly, helpful, and efficient. Among other things, he arranged a rental car for us from Enterprise after we were told by Enterprise that they wouldn't have a car for us for at least a day. And he drove us there to be sure they followed through. Rick, the owner, has been a pleasure to deal with regarding the repairs. Highly recommended.
Definitely a predatory towing company, tonight after eating at the red arrow for approximately 20 minutes I came out to find my car gone…long story short don’t parking in any lot surrounding the red arrow or you’re going to end up paying $225. Needless to say I will be filing a complaint with the commissioner of safety along with pursuing legal action.
Just another shady tow company who illegally has a guy sitting on the side of the parking lot calling them in. They had 5 cars towed within 45 minutes. There was a guy sitting across the street yelling over to the guy calling in the cars talking about the cars being called in. That was the only reason we knew who to talk to. But hey, according to them they wouldn’t do that
Very reliable. This towing service has great customer service . They tend to our requests in a very reasonable time frame. We use their services at our shop and will continue to do so.
l am giving one star because l could not less. l started waiting for a tow at noon. l was told it would be 120-150 minutes. l got updates saying 44 minutes away and that was well after 120 minutes. then l got notification that they would be there soon then l got notified that they had arrived. After 3/12 hours l called Precision and l was told that a driver would call me in less than 30 minutes. After waiting 5 hours l called my insurance company and had them cancel the “tow” when they told me they called Precision and were told they couldn’t tell me when a driver would arrive. From my experience if you need a tow call someone else. It is 6:30 and l am still waiting for a tow. However the driver of the other tow company has been in contact and has told me when he will arrive. Already MUCH better service then from Precision.
DO NOT PATRONIZE. Not a great experience with this company. I called in advance to let them know I was coming and waited 45 minutes for someone to come and open the gate while they were busy extorting other customers after repeatedly being told by the operator the driver was “right around the corner”. When I asked for a specific ETA the operator became hostile and refused to respond to my questions. I would never call them if I had to and I’m sorry I had to deal with them when I had no choice. Please don’t give them your business.
I have veterans plates and I understand that I was twenty-five minutes late because my therapy appointment went over, and I came out and my car was towed. I understand it was my fault, while I will say that see a new vehicle pull in, check to see when your ticket expires, and call another truck to check as soon as they know the ticket expires. This was explained at the shop. There is no phone number in the lot to get ahold of them or where the vehicle is towed. I had to contact the police to find my vehicle, and when I called I wasn't told they only accept cash. They told me I had to walk back and get cash and it was one seventy five. They were laughing at my misfortune. Again, I know I was wrong, while there was a lack of professionalism.
They arrived to tow my car on the side of the highway so fast!! They took my car into the shop, fixed it up and had it back to me the same day. It was very simple, transparent communication and they handled everything for me while I went to work for the day! Cannot recommend enough.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Just had a very unsettling experience with them. My car was parked legally in a parking lot in my apartment complex and an employee of this company attempted to tow it. He would have if I hadn’t run outside. He told me I didn’t have a parking pass to be there. When I showed him the clearly displayed and valid pass in my window he just kept repeating “you don’t live here.” I have in fact lived here for six years and it is written in my lease that as a resident I am allowed to have access to this space. He eventually gave up and drove off. A very sketchy and unsettling experience. Very thankful that I saw this happening or my car would have been stolen. DO NOT USE THEM!
Update: the owner reached out to me after personally investigating the incident. (He was on vacation when I brought to his attention) he was calm and offered to fix the remaining problems that occurred to my vehicle because of the faulty tow AND reimbursed me for what I had already paid to a local mechanic. Thank you Rick.
They towed my car and damaged it with damages exceeding $1500 and admitted it was caused by a tow company (I’ve never had my car towed) and they deny it was them disgraceful. My car broke down less than 4 miles from the tow company ..I would’ve never been able to drive my car if it was damaged by someone else. Mechanics words. The owner has a mouth too, gets real loud when you accuse him or his drivers of anything. He will not show the tapes that are all allegedly rolling 24:7 recording audio to prove what his driver said to me and what I said to the driver at the time of pick up. Poor excuse for a business.
AAA Service sent Performance Towing tonight. The driver & operator that towed my friends car home was named Tom. He was not only at my neighbor's at the time promissed, but early. He went out of his way to go above and beyond & seemed only happy to help... never bothered or put out for a moment. I know whom I'm calling in the future and personally vouch for him to anyone in need of his services. Great work ethic and exceptional customer service is hard to come by and rare nowadays sadly. He was nothing but an absolute pleasure (honestly!!). You know I was impressed when I requested his card. Thanks Tom for lifting the spirits of a couple old ladies lol. I hope Performance rewards you for such exceptional service.
So to all of you that don't know, this is also a collision and body work garage, not just a towing company. Please take my advice and take your business elsewhere!! My Husband had what I would consider to be an easy job done on his vehicle. He was told it would only take 3 months to do, my Husband was so happy!! So months and months went by, almost 12 to be precise. And it was FINALLY done. He then hit my Husband with a huge bill stating that it took 130 hours worth of work to complete.
I could see if his car was in a major collision, however it was not. Few adjustments, blocking, sanding and paint.
He was just happy to have it home after almost a year of excuse after excuse as to why it wasn't done. Needless to say, the job was lack luster.
So if you are looking to get a job done right and within a decent time limit I suggest you go elsewhere. Oh and written estimate, forget about it!! Will NEVER tell anyone where we got the car done and would never recommend.
I was involved in a car accident yesterday and performance tow company was called to pick up my car. The driver was very kind, and pleasant. The first thing he asked me was if I was alright, He then offered to give me a ride so that I would not have to wait around for my ride. I had things in my car that I needed for work and went to the location not once but twice!! The owner, and his workers were very nice and helpful, they even offered to help me with the car seat and other items I needed from my car! I give this place 5 stars for customer service.
Stay Away! They cleared out a parking lot full of cars in Manchester by the Red Arrow. My daughter has a paid parking spot. Waking up in the morning for work and her car was gone. Her hang tag had dropped onto the center console and was clearly visible. The tow co said come on down and we will just give you the car back. Upon arrival they walked to the car with her and looked through the window. They both saw the parking tag. They then said," you still have to pay it isn't clearly visible". They know it is a paid lot, You would think they would take two seconds to shine a light in the window and give a look knowing the hang tags are an issue and they are at peoples HOMES! This is a smash and grab, money grabbing, Dishonest company. The same night they grabbed her boyfriends car which was not permitted to park overnight. We were not upset about that but when we went to get the car the whole front end was smashed! The owners response was " my trucks didn't do that, I would pay if they did" then proceeded to try and tell me how trucks work. I've owned and operated roll back trucks bigger then anything they operate. There was broken debris in the parking spot were the car was yanked and the spots are so tight you know they were pulling them around to pick them. If you ever have the unfortunate chance to see the facility you'll understand. What a $#%@hole. Building is disgusting, parking lot all torn up and cars everywhere in disarray. The poor neighbors. See you in court!
This place was terrible. After having my car breakdown in a construction zone on the highway, it took 3 months, 3 calls, and 3 in-person visits, the third visit being with a different tow company to a different garage for repair. Most calls ending with they know it's there and will get back to me. The original conversation was that they had a mechanic on site that would call with a quote after looking at the vehicle. Which NEVER happened. My car was towed by them 9/30/2021- was removed after no communication 12/13/2021- was finished and ready to go before Christmas Eve. Shout out to Jeff's Westside auto for allowing my car to be towed there until he could look at it and finally fix it. With speed of which I doubted existed after the ordeal w performance and left me taking Uber for 3 months
They were honest from the beginning. They gave me the best option to get the car looking original. I like that they suggested OEM parts and do not like aftermarket. I could not agree more. They took a look at my damage and gave me formal quote which the price could not be beat. Had my car back in a few days and could not be happier with the results. Looks brand new. They matched the paint perfectly!
