Lied about the weight of my copper, brass, stainless and other metals I brought in to sell.. also paid me maybe 1/3rd what I should have been paid... save yourself frustration and get the money you're owed and go down the street to the other scrap buying company.
No cardboard! (Other sources are wrong!) Sign also says no plastic, no trash. Keep driving until you get to the Carson City dump. Seems less like they take metal.
These guys are the most helpful and knowledgeable and convenient and friendly for any metal recycling needs. Talk to Andy on the phone or when you get there and guaranteed 10 out of 10 will take care of you beyond your expectations.
My husband and I tried going there today. The parking was super confusing, we barley found the actual recycling place. When we do we pull up next to the garage and before we get out of the car a boxer mix dog comes running up and barking at the us. At that moment I just try to turn around but despite the owners calls and whistles, the dog refused to obey him and kept barking and circling my car. Never made it inside just had to turn around (carefully to avoid hitting the dog)
Went here to recycle yesterday for the first time. Smiling, friendly employee with great customer service. Couldn't be happier!!
Note to the reviewers that weren't pleased with the amount they were offered or received ~ you could always go somewhere else and pay someone else to take whatever you have off your hands! I don't see what the problem could be with any amount of money you receive for something that you obviously no longer need, let alone something that can be recycled and reused! Move somewhere else if you want to be paid more for your trash!!! :)
I took exactly the same type & amount of metal to 2 places. This place of one of them. One place gave me $3.00 and the other gave me $24.00. So, if you're recycling just for fun, this place is perfect.
Felt like i was taken advantage of. I had 2,000 pounds of steel and aluminum and he kept telling me he didnt know what to do with it. I told him i woulf take it to the dump and then he said he would take it. Scammers didn't want to weigh it. No competition equals this kind of business. Don't waste your time or fuel.
