Tried calling them to see if they could maybe get my Grand Marquis in to get a spark plug hole rethreaded due to the plug blowing out. I asked if they pulled the heads off (if they do then it’s a much more costly job) and got a snarky response back, “no why would you need to do that we do this all the time”. Then I asked another simple question, “do you guys use heli coils to do the repair?” He replied with “yea what else would we use.” Not really asking more just telling me. I said “Probably a time sert so it doesn’t happen again”. He said “I don’t even know what a time sert is”. And just hung up on me. I believe that if you are going to offer what they do for repairs, you should probably educate yourself on what a simple timesert is.??
We were on a road trip to Kansas City and my battery light turned on about 5 miles outside of Nebraska City. We pulled in and chatted with the guys there and they figured out the issue. They replaced my alternator and we were back on the road in 30-45 minutes!! Great service and very friendly, knowledgeable guys! Highly recommend their services!
So grateful for this local shop! Shout out to Rodney, who came to the rescue when my car broke down in Nebraska City. I took my mom down today for lunch at the Keeping Room (another great place, FYI) and when we got in the car to head to the orchards, the engine wouldn't turn over at all. No warning before that! Ladies at the Keeping Room called Walters for us, and Rodney was there in five minutes. Took a look, got the battery jump started and was confident we could make it home to Bellevue safely if we didn't stop anywhere. We did, and we're so grateful. Thank you!!
Car broke down on highway on a road trip, and the tow truck took us to this shop. They took care of everything in a friendly, competent way. They went over and above to get the unique bolt we needed to replace, and shuttled us to a nearby restaurant so the kids could eat while we waited for the part to arrive from out of town. Amazing gift on our trip!!
Ok- brutal honesty here! If you are a single woman needing major vehicle help – you can trust this family! These guys are so honest and will not take advantage of what another bigger auto company in town might perceive as naivety bc you’re a female! They explain everything thoroughly and their pricing beats another big auto company in town by about 40%! I cannot be happier with Bill Walters and sons!
Had my jeep there and was told my motor needed replacement it was shot. Took it to another shop and all that was wrong was my alternator was locked up. Glad I took it somewhere else I'll never recommend this place what a joke

Had alternator replaced, then had crankshaft pulley break. Like when they dropped the engine back down it hit the frame and broke it. Left me stranded 50 miles from home
We recently had some brake work done and the staff was both incredibly knowledgeable and courteous. I am very grateful to have found these folks. We will absolutely continue to do business with them.
We were traveling across country when our rear end went out of our Chevy truck. We thought we were lucky to find someone to work on our truck. Me Walters found a rear end and had it shipped in that took 5 days. When it arrived it was a piece of junk and mr Walters informed us he would have to order another one. In the meantime we found another shop that could rebuild it for us in two days. We understood the frustration all around but what I didn understand is the disrespect that followed. They had taken the parts off of our truck and had to put them back on so we could have it towed. We asked some questions like how many hours did it take and why did you pull it off before the parts came. After that we were told that this was becoming to much trouble for him and he would not take our credit card or debit card- only cash. We told him fine we would go to the bank but we’re told that if we weren’t there by 5 (which was 15 minutes)we would not get our truck til the next day. When we showed up with the money. He proceeded to count the money three times and on the third time marked each $20 bill to make sure it was real I’m not sure how we got to that point but really in the heartland I have never been treated such lack of respect.
Very friendly employees who made my wait feel warm. I even got to chat with the mechanic while he made the repair and watch the process which was neat. Thank you for the honest service!
As I was traveling across the country, I pulled in here for some advice concerning a leaky transmission. Mr. Walters and his grandson were kind and helpful. I decided to take my chances and continue on. My vehicle decided it would go no further. I am a knowledgeable and competent home mechanic and realized I would need a new transmission. Mr. Walters went to work, finding one that would fit my vehicle. I'm thankful that shops like this still exist in America: Honest, Fair and Friendly. I was in the right place, at the right time. And now I have a transmission with a Nationwide Warranty and new friends in the middle of the Nation.
Was in an accident and my bumper was rubbing the tire. They got the bumper pulled out efficiently and quickly so I could get back on the road. This happened over a month ago, sorry for the delayed review!
I was traveling cross country. Looked like I had a leak from my engine. They did a great job getting everything taken care of, answering all my questions and sending me on my way. Really appreciate there personable service and quality work. Wish I lived there so I could refer people to use them.

My son and I were stranded near Nebraska City if you are within 50 miles of this place get yourself there whether you're towed or not. It is the cleanest shop you will ever see. The shop is next to their homes and they treat you like family.
Great family and repaired my car in just one day!
Had them fix my car over heating, did great. But they told me the pulled my spark plug wires to see in they were shorted. After they did this they did not reconnect them to the spark plug and left them loose and arcing. My car was only running on two cylinders.
My sister broke down in Nebraska City with my 86 yr old mom and 4yr. Old great niece. She had it tow there and they fix her vehicle in a day after a holiday in no time with out wait. Did a great job. Good price too. Thank you for taking care of my family.
Very helpful! My car broke down on a trip to Nebraska City. Googled mechanic and Bill Walters and Sons came up it was open "it was a Saturday" called and made arrangements to have it towed there by my insurance company. Bill got it all fixed up and I picked it up on Tuesday. Very pleased with the service! Highly recommended.
I was traveling from IOWA and had an emergency with my corvette. Bill was pleasant, honest and was very helpful. The shop was clean and bright. I rarely let anyone touch my car but I wasn’t home so I had to concede. I wish this garage was in my hometown! Nebraska City has a gem there. Thanks
We were traveling through and air conditioner went out. Called and said he would get us in. Pulled in and he right away pulled a car out and took ours in its spot. It took an hour to fix. Himself and staff were pleasant and helpful. Very uncommon for a shop to go out of their way like this. Would definitely use the shop again if in the area.
