My brother bought an appliance from Salvage Warehouse years ago, and it’s still going strong. Recently, I stopped in because my daughter needed a washer and dryer. The staff was very helpful without being pushy, which gave us plenty of space to shop. They have a large selection of appliances, and I was pleasantly surprised to see they also carry a lot of furniture in the basement—new beds, mattresses, sofas, couches, tables, and more. My personal favorites were the giant La-Z-Boy recliners… I’m honestly tempted to go back for one.
The salesperson worked with me to stay within my budget and even saved me about $60. Their prices are fair, and the products are much nicer and cleaner than some of the cheaper, fly-by-night places around Lincoln. They also loaded the appliances for us as a courtesy. Once home, I plugged everything in and it all worked perfectly.
On top of that, they offer a 30-day warranty for peace of mind. I would definitely shop here again and recommend them to others.
I’ve bought two appliances a fridge and a freezer from salvage warehouse (freezer bought in July 2025 has already stopped staying cold) and they both stopped working a few months later because it’s past the 30 days they won’t do anything so you are screwed out of your money for the appliances the money for all the food wasted from the appliances not staying cold and now have to go buy new appliances from somewhere else ..if appliances are only going to work for a few months prices should be lower and you should market it as that a quick appliance for a 3 month use(if you’re lucky).This is one small business I will no longer support and I hope others won’t as well.
My husband bought a fridge from them. They delivered on Monday. The freezer did not work and the fridge did not get cool enough. They sent someone out to look at it on Tuesday but could not fix it. My husband asked them to take it back, but they refused. He was told to call GE for warranty repair despite having fridge only 24 hours. DO NOT BUY APPLIANCES HERE!!!
When you go here you will be treated with a smile and fast talkers. They will tell you that they go through every appliance to make sure it works. That is 100% correct they do but they don't tell you they just go through it to make it work not fix the other stuff that needs fixed. Bought a washer from here and 20 days in it was having issues. Called the service repair company in my area and he said it needed multiple things fixed. I asked him how that could be because I just got this and they said they went through it. He let me know that is common for them to say that but a lot of the parts that need fixed have needed fixed for a while. So after spending $350 on a washer at Salvage Warehouse I spend $600 on a new washer from another place because the one I bought from Salvage Warehouse wasn't worth fixing. Save your money and go somewhere else.
Just because I know they will comment back yes I reached out to your business with the concern and you told me it was as is and the warranty you offer was over already. So don't try and tell me to reach out and you would like to talk.
Bought a laundry set that they claimed to have gone through. I’ve owned it 15 days and got 7 loads dry. It’s been back there twice now. Do the research and spend a little more and buy new from people that won’t screw you
Over the years I’ve purchased several appliances from them About a month ago I went and bought a washing machine from them (It had a 30 day warranty) , it started acting up, of course on Sunday evening I contacted them the next day Monday They said bring it back and we’ll take a look at it Well it had a good life Longer story ,They replaced it under warranty Thank you you stand behind what say, this day and age , that means a lot to an old fart like me thank you again
Great selection, and decent prices. We bought a stove that was really nice for cheep. I noticed a roach crawling out and asked about it. They said they would take it to their pesticide fogger room. I don't know if they actually did or not, but when we brought it home, roaches started coming out of it. We've killed 10+ now.
Prices are a high. Owners seem friendly. Hard to navigate. Building is stuffy and the couches I looked at all had damp cushions, which was off-putting and unexpected. Not a bad place for if you're looking for unique furniture, just be expexting to pay a little more. Potential for me to change the star rating on my review with future trips, but I'm comfortable at a 3 for now.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for furniture or appliances. I have purchased multiple appliances and furniture from them. They have dozens of refrigerators, washers and dryers, so that is easy to pick up whenever needed. Inventory is always changing, so if you have particular type of recliner in mind, you may need to pop in every few weeks to find that exact item you are looking for. But the prices are great and it’s a fun place to look around!
The only thing I liked about this place were the options. Went in with my GF and found a couch that we really liked but then we kept being followed when we wanted to keep looking around. We were pestered the entire time even though there were other people there and it became annoying but we decided to get the couch. They said it would be a whopping 90$ for delivery even though we only lived a couple miles away which seemed steep to me but we figured it would at least be less hassle. They couldn't give me any time frame on delivery except for the day off and they would call early in morning which meant we couldn't take care of plans as it was scheduled for Saturday. Day of they claimed to have come by but myself and my GF never saw a truck, never heard any knocks not anything. I called to ask where they were only to find that they claimed to have come by and SEEN people inside, HEARD people inside, allegedly knocked on the door but then they left and took the couch back. Asked them to delivery it as we were still there and had been the whole time and explained we hadn't seen any sign of them but they stated they couldn't come back even though we were still in the windows of when they said they would deliver it and also that it would cost ANOTHER 90$ for them to come back a different day. Regardless to say, we will not be using them ever again and we didn't appreciate the rude attitude they had when we returned with a family truck to just take it ourselves. They seem to only care about getting money and dont work with you at all.
They will work with you, to see that you are satisfied with your purchase. With delivery- they took out the old and bought in the new. AND hooked everything up; so I didn't have to find extra help once appliance was delivered. They called on day of delivery, gave me a 2 hour window of when to expect them. They arrived during that time frame!! Much better than waiting all day! Delivery guys are very good and I never felt uneasy having Strangers at my house. Job was completed in a short time. This is my second used washer; the first one lasted me 17yrs. Now I am planning to check out their furniture also. Friendly staff. Great store. I recommend Salvage Warehouse--go & browse or for your specific items. Thanks guys
I bought 2 separate appliances from this store. Both appliances stopped working within a few months after the purchase. If want to buy something that won’t work then this is the place to buy. And don’t forget, no refunds period.
We found a very nice used dresser at a reasonable price. The employees were kind and allowed us to shop peacefully and answered all of our questions and then put the dresser in my vehicle for us.
Do not go to this establishment without adult supervision and a budget. The variety of items is phenomenal. The staff greet you immediately, are friendly, and you will find many items that you didn't know you needed. From appliances to furniture, home decor, and even comfy office chairs.
I got a new to us washer delivered this morning, they were a little earlier than planned which was great since we needed laundry done asap since our last washer stopped working. The guy who sold it to me also gave me a discount which I appreciate this time of year. Overall great experience so far!
I got a great deal on my “re-homed” double-recliner sofa. Unbelievable price, great condition, and delivery and set-up easy, quick and efficient. Communication great. I bought a washer and dryer set and the washer pump went out with in a week. It was covered by the 30 days so they fixed it. When they delivered it they knocked down my piping and lent pipe. And I had to fix more than I planned. But I also bought a LG oven and refrigerator. In February, It is now July and that $500 on spent on the oven, I’d have to spend another $500 to fix it. And the refrigerator had so many broke shelves and dents that I didn’t see when I bought it. I would definitely not recommend buying here unless you plan to replace the stuff within a year. Which I did not plan to do as a single mother who is also a home owner. Thanks for the rip off spent over a 1000 and get to do it again. But definitely won’t be at this location.
I went in today looking for a washer with a set price range. Mike helped me out with a deal on a washer and delivery. Really good customer service and willingness to work with you if you have a budget. Highly recommend coming here if you need any house help appliances or furniture.
Do not buy appliances here. I had bought a dryer from them roughly 3 weeks ago. Delivery went just okay, but when installing it, they never checked to see if it ran properly. The heating element didn't work because it came with faulty wiring. They sent their repair guy 2x to try to fix it. It was a temporary fix that lasted no more than 3 minutes at the most. Very frustrating experience. I got the dryer on a Monday and was out of a working dryer till Friday. They also removed my old dryer. They took it and recycled it. Delivered me a broken dryer. I couldn't even get my old dryer back to see if it could be repaired instead. The communication on the phone calls I had was very unprofessional. As a business that has been around for 30 plus years, I expect better customer service. I ended up going to Nebraska Furniture Mart in Omaha, got a brand NEW 2022 dryer for 100$ more than Salvage Warehouse was giving me for a dryer that was manufactured around 2013 I believe. Salvage Warehouse is a rip off, and charges too much, takes your old machines, doesn't even check if the machine they deliver works properly before leaving. Don't take a chance on this business. Go to Nebraska Furniture Mart. They have a clearance appliance section, for new products, that have a dent or scratch at the most, and still have their factory warranty intact. Save the hassle here.
We bought a fridge and it did not work properly. They came several times to fix it and no luck. They said we can exchange it if we like. We did. We just got our new fridge today and the freezer works fine. The fridge does not. They had their maintenance man come to fix it. He got the light working and said give it a few hours to start cooling off. It has been two hours and it is not cooling at all. Not happy because salvage does not believe us!
I had never been to Salvage Warehouse! Wow!! What a huge place!! They were very helpful and accommodating!! I bought a curio cabinet for a GREAT price!! They delivered it very carefully!! I'm sure I'll be back!!
I have purchased various items from them since 2016. Today they lost a loyal customer. Reason why they delivered a dryer to my home , and in the process of removing the old dryer and installing the new one they unplugged my deep freezer. Did not realize that they had done so when I went to pull some hamburger. I called the store, told them what happened and they would talk to drivers and call next day. The didn’t and so I called back today, and they told me the same thing but would pass on to the General Manager. He called later in the afternoon , told him the situation and asked what would be done about my loss. Matt the General Manager proceeded to tell me it wasn’t his driver and that they would have no reason to unplug it.When I told him they had moved my freezer to take the old and put in the new, he still said the drivers didn’t do it. He was basically calling me a liar. I have no children or pets in my home that could have done it, and I don’t have anyone else that had come to my home. And that I only go to my basement to do laundry, and I hadn’t needed anything from my freezer until this past Sunday. And he also laughed when I said my money doesn’t grow on trees and that with the cost of food, something needs to be done. He just laughed and said my money doesn’t grow on trees either and that he was sorry it happened, but there was nothing he could do. So do not allow the delivery drivers be alone while making a delivery as if anything happen they will not admit their mistake and screw you over like they did me. I lost a total amount of $200 dollar’s worth of food that I had to throw away tonight. Very unhappy customer, will never purchase another thing from them. As they are lacking in customer service skills , and I have been in customer service over 20 years. I included photos to prove what they had done and everything I had lost. And I hope and pray my freezer will work as there was blood leaking from the freezer as well
Don't pay unless you are ready to take it home that moment. We put down $400 on a very nice dinner table and paid extra for delivery. The shop called us the day before delivery and told us they had decided to sell the table to another customer who was able to take it home that moment.
When we went in to get our refund, the owner laughed and said this sort of thing happens from time to time. He also mentioned that people can just remove the "sold" signs from merchandise and buy them on the spot, and the shop has no plans to mitigate that loophole.
The selection is excellent and the sales staff is very friendly. They are helpful if you are looking for a specific piece and also offer to contact you should they find something you want. Most of the furniture is in decent-to-excellent condition.
Salvage Warehouse is a good location if you are trying to furnish apartments or office spaces on a budget. Just be prepared to pick up the furniture that day.
Bought a washer and dryer set in early May from here. The dryer started smoking within one week. I contacted them and they replaced the set- since it was within the 30 day warranty. (This is why I am giving them two stars instead of one) I got the new set about a week later from my complaint, so about two weeks into my 30 day warranty. I didn’t get a new 30 day warranty with the new set. The new set that I picked out (looked fairly new), the hose from the drum to the soap was disconnected, causing the washer to leak everywhere. I called them about this and they told me to check a few different areas. It wasn’t until I called a friend of mine to come look at it when I found this issue. There is no way they test their products before putting them on the floor. The suspension rods AND circuit breaker were both broke in the new set I got from them-this was confirmed by an appliance repair place here in town since they kept putting off my request to come look at it until my 30 days were up. This place is not worth the headache, save your money and purchase something new elsewhere.
Soooo much product !! it is a Lot bigger than you realize. Some new, some used in perfect or near perfect condition, if it looks a little more used its comparable to garage sale or used online purchases. Staff was amazing from the second I walked in. Asked what I was shopping for, then walked me half way there and let me browse with out hovering!! Was right there the second I had a question tho. They were having a sale when I purchased my washer, plus offered an additional discount on top of that if I purchased a dryer, never had to try and haggle prices. They were honest and fair throughout entire process! Definitely will be going back for All my next furniture and appliance purchases. And I love a couple hours away!!
They have a lot of great items and are willing to make a resonable deal. Tons of appliances. Great place to save money and still get something nice. The staff and owners were very friendly and willing to help. I was very happy with my experience and will definitely be back!
