Aug, 25th, 2025, my son passed away in the woods up Melrose. Mad Dog Towing removed his truck from the dirt road where my son's body was in the bed of the truck. The reason we were told the truck was towed, was due to it having to be cleaned as my son's blood was in the bed. The bed of the truck was not cleaned very well, there was still pine needles covered in blood, blood on the bumper. We are missing a pulaski ax and a small shovel that we watched our son place in the bed on our security cameras as he left that day. They charge a very large sum for the towing and cleaning while we had to have our son in law clean this properly. Way to capitolize on a horrible situation. I would not use them as they over charge and more then likely took what they wanted out of our son's truck. Very unprofessional.
We were in our Tiffin Allegro motorhome and sprung a belt. It was devastating. We were towed and unfortunately used a RV mechanic that wasted a new belt, 2 days of our time and cost us $500. Not including our $1050 wrecker tow (not mad dog wrecker). Finally on day 3, we called Mad Dog to see if they could get the correct belt and install for us. Zach came to the rescue. He put on a new belt in less than 30min and we safely made it to Glacier. We thought our entire vacation was ruined, but thanks to Zach and mad dog our trip went on. Wish we had more time to let them work on other mechanical needs on our coach. Thank you, The Payne's Texas
Awesome, amazing if I could give more stars I would. Had a mishap on the way home from Clark Canyon. The tongue on the my EZ Loader trailer broke. Thanks to the guys at Mad Dog towing we were able to make it home to the Bitterroot. We so appreciate your help on a Saturday afternoon.
Mad Dog Towing took the utmost excellent care of my husband whose semi truck would not start this morning (Feb 6, 2025) They were johnny on the spot and knew exaclty what the problem was, took care of it and got him back on the road within an hour of my making the phone call to them at 6a.m. Its refreshing to know there are still some good ol Montana boys left. They were professional as well as very personable. Would recommend them over and over.
Mad Dog (Ejay?) Was his name maybe ? Went above and beyond to help us. We had an oil cap blow and spew oil everywhere under the hood and he even took us to the car wash to let us clean it out so we wouldn't be screwed the next day. And it was almost 11 pm . Highly rate these guys. Super friendly and did an amazing job. Also thank you to the police officer who helped us stay safe on the side of the interstate. Well keep your bracelet forever ! Back the blue 💙 thanks so much for getting us back to Dillon guys .
My kids broke down in the middle of Montana late night after hitting a porcupine. Mad dog got the job done expeditiously and helped get my girls back on the road the next morning.
On our last day of a 3-week, 7,000 mile trek in our Sprinter van, east across the US, then west across Canada, we promised our dog that we’d finally be home tonight.
Twenty miles south of Dillon, Montana we got a puncture in the sidewall of our tire. After 3 hours on a HOT, Sunday afternoon stranded on I-15, we’d just about resigned ourselves to spending one more night out. After talking to Montana Highway Patrol, they instead got us in touch with Mad Dog Towing. Without hesitation, Brad at Mad Dog responded immediately, and connected us with John at Pomp’s Tires. Between Brad & John, a new tire was brought to our location, John installed it and we were on our way.
We are so grateful to Brad from Mad Dog Towing and to John from Pomp’s Tires for coming to our rescue and just being so plain nice.
Now Maizie will get to sleep in her own bed tonight.

Absolutely amazing service! Our driver was EJ - he was the best! He came and got us in the middle of a blizzard, made sure we were warm and had all our needs met, then towed our vehicle over 50 miles to a town where it could be repaired. Would highly recommend!
Thanks for saving us on the highway. And holding my car until we came back. Even tho someone got into it while we were gone and cleaned it out. I still appreciate the help you gave us.
Matt, a driver for this company, went above and beyond to help my family and I out when my truck decided to eject a spark plug like a spent 308 cartridge. Got to us within an hour of calling, and within 2 hours of getting back into Dillon, we were up and running again! Thanks again, Matt. I really appreciate the kindness and if I need towing out that way again, Mad Dog is the first company I'm calling.
these guys are amazing they saved the day when our cars motor seized on our long road trip. they towed us back to the dinner and did everything they could to try to help us the whole time.
My car had overheated towing a trailer and had blown all the coolant. I was stranded on the side of I-15. I called AAA and they would not deliver coolant. Googled Dillon and Mad Dog popped up. I called and he came right out. Checked things out and added mixed coolant and discovered radiator cap was faulty. He had me call Oriley parts since I knew cars specs. He followed me to the exit then led me to the store where I purchased a cap. He checked the coolant and installed the new cap. Super service, knowledgeable and excellent all around!
What do you do when the temp is crawling out of single digits (typical Mt. December morning), you're 6 hours and two states away from home, in beautiful Dillon, Montana, and you're perfectly running car isn't running? You call Mad Dog Towing! I was staying at one of the hotels by the interstate with my daughter and baby grandson. Car started fine, left it to warm up. Came out with the bags and she was dying/dead. Couldn't find anyone to help me with a jump, which is most unusual in Mt. Asked the front desk clerk for a tip on who to call. She did NOT direct me to Mad Dog. Called her suggestion and they quoted me $175 to come out and jump my car - one HUNDRED SEVENTY-FIVE DOLLARS!! Outrageous! I lived in Montana for many years, know what the economy's like, and understood it was cold but.....c'mon guys, sheesh! Googled .towing in Dillon'. There weren't many selections but, sure, Mad Dog's a great name, so why not? I was quoted a REASONABLE price for the job and a quick response time. The gentleman who came out to help was a life saver. The car started right away but I heard him yell, "Turn it off, turn it off!" Couldn't imagine why he'd yell that. Turns out, as soon as it turned over, he heard something knock. Lo and behold, one, two six-inch bolts had fallen out and down on the ground. They should have been holding the alternator in place...oops, but that's another chapter. He gave me a break on the cost. Later that same morning, he also gave my car a tow to one of the few heated garages in Dillon for service. Bottom line: Not a jerk who's looking to rip you off - GREAT GUY! GREAT SERVICE! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
Brad was OUTSTANDING!! As an older woman traveling alone, my car blew its transmission outside of Dillon (in what seemed to me to be in the middle of nowhere!). He was prompt, professional, and turned what could've been a scary situation into one where I had no fear!! I highly recommend his services!!!
