This review is long overdue! So many great things can be said about Turney Repair and towing. We were stranded, over 300 miles from home, on Thanksgiving morning but definitely not alone. Our wonderful experience with them started with a rough day for us when they answered a 5am call on Thanksgiving. While they were out of town enjoying their own family holiday time together, they went out of their way to help us. They allowed us to use a car when no rentals were available. That same morning their tow truck driver happily and helpfully came, on his day off, to bring a car we could use, and he took ours to their shop. The mechanical problem we were having was due to an underlying issue that was missed by another mechanic, but their mechanic was able to identify it and get it fixed. They also worked with the previous mechanic shop to honor a warranty for work I had just gotten done a week prior. Throughout the whole process, they were very good at communicating and helping us get our vehicle running reliably.
Update!! Two weeks ago I received a certified letter from a business in Butte, MT called Turney Repair & Towing. They had been called to tow a trailer that was blocking property. Towing = $225
Storage = $2805
Admin Fee = $125
Total 🟰 $3155
I called my insurance, they had no interest in retrieving it so I called the business and explained that it was stolen and if they could work with me? I said I would gladly pay the towing but was hoping they would take off the storage fee. NOPE, and as a matter of fact that price will go up daily for the storage fees. I called the police department and was really hoping that they would get involved and help. Well the case was closed in March so there was nothing they could do. I called Turney again and explained the situation, she told me obviously I don't understand how business works and that they have to pay insurance on every item in their lot...well I do understand business and if it cost you $2805 to insure my trailer for a month, you're in the wrong business! Before anyone comes at me to say I received insurance, well I did but this trailer was purchased in 2014 for around $3000, we finally replaced the trailer in 2024 for around $8600. This is how much trailers have gone up since our original purchase. At the end of my conversation with this business I told them that it was sad that they couldn't work with me and that they would put it up for auction and probably make at least $4000! This trailer cost them maybe one hour and a little bit of gas.

Such a kind lady at the front desk. She even gave me a ride home when she found out I was going to have to walk home. Oil change was done very quickly. I had a couple of questions about some dash messages. She asked a young man to come teach me what it all meant. He was very patient, pleasant, knowledgeable and polite. They got me right in and they charged less than 2 other places I called. I really enjoyed the people there and I will definitely use them again. 😍
We can not thank Turney enough. Luckily they had a wrecker to tow our class A DP motorhome to their wrecker yard. They even let us stay there 2 nights since our rig was not drivable. Turney was a lifesaver. My vehicle was stranded on a forest service road. Toree was incredibly helpful and reassuring that they could get my vehicle out. Aaron did a fantastic job getting my vehicle out of a tight spot. Their communication was excellent. Beyond that, they were genuinely concerned and helped bring me out of a personal low point.
AAA was not going to let the tow truck come to our location as we were on a gravel road. Lacey (Turney dispatcher) let us send her a picture and pin to our location and was willing to dispatch the tow truck. Cliff(driver) does an excellent job loading difficult vehicles. Thanks to AAA and Turney Repair for taking great care of us!
Sincere appreciation to staff at Turney Repair for assisting us when our auto failed on I10. We were so thankful they had someone come open the shop at 8:00 pm to put our car inside, as we were travelling and had items that would freeze. The vehicle was promptly scanned in the morning and it was recommended we take the vehicle to a VW dealership. Their honesty regarding the repair was stellar.
Turney Repair graciously stored our car inside for a week until we were able to return and trailer it home. They even helped us load it. We would highly recommend Turney Repairs.
We were on a family trip when our car broke down late at night. Turney Repair came and got our car, recommended a hotel and had us back on the road before check-out!!

Fortunately, I met these guys by accident. They helped me out in a big way after I got stuck on a hunting trip in November. These guys had to chain up to get to my truck, kept their cool in a tight spot on a snowy mountain, and took their time to go through all the proper precautions to keep everyone (and my truck) involved safe.
They were upfront with the cost of the job before they saw the situation we were in and charged us that price on the mountain after the job was done. Paying for a tow when you weren't expecting to obviously sucks, but I was able to drive home that day without any surprises to think about.
I highly recommend Turney to anyone needing a tow in a tight spot!
**I am not comment on Turney's towing abilities in this review, I have not used them for that service, but have heard positive experiences regarding TOWING.**
I had a very poor experience with mechanical service at this shop and recommend that if you don't know EVERY mechanical thing about your car do NOT go here. They did NOT tell me ANY details about the supposed state of my car when it went in, but later claimed it was completely low/empty of fluid...yet never told me until months later when my husband inquired. The tire shop that I had it in 2 weeks earlier, stated my fluid was not empty/that low, but that yes, it was leaking. Short story, I wouldn't trust the mechanics to tell you any details, ONE mechanic was the rudest and meanest mechanic I have ever dealt with in my life (I drive 20+ year old cars so I have a lot of experience getting my car worked on). I am 100% will to pay for the work done on my car and I am usually very patient as far as the time to get on the schedule because I know places are very busy, however, I will never be patient for this place again.
Additionally, they accidently broke my brake line when working on the main car problem. My car was not finished on the day it was suppose to be completed and when I called to inquire the next day, they stated the mechanic that was working on it was off for the day so they weren't sure the status. I received a call at 4 pm that day that it was finished, so I am inclined to believe that the original mechanic did not finish the job.
I prefer to support local mechanic shops, but in the future, I will be taking my car to the dealership, which I am NOT thrilled about.
100 stars to this company , I was in trouble after trying to move my sister from Wisconsin to Spokane they towed my sisters truck over 300 miles and kept it all safe till delivering it yesterday my sisters husband passed away and this truck and tools in it was all she had left of him then our mom died and I will never forget the compassion I felt from this company and everyone that I dealt with thank you for being so helpful in our time of need awesome company and people and thank you Lacy for keeping me up to date on everything your whole company is so amazing ❤️❤️
Keith rescued our family when our RV died on a Sunday evening. He was very helpful, polite and empathetic. Just the kind of service you're hoping for when an emergency happens.
This is for the Butte, MT location. Keith and his staff did an awesome job getting me out of the ditch when I slid off the road in my big rig on Homestake Pass outside of Butte, MT on the slick roads and when we got it to the tow yard the office staff helped me out over and above expectations by taking me to Walmart and helping me buy boxes and shipping materials to get my personal belongings back to Kansas as my tractor was beyond driveable. I can't say enough about how all these guys and gals care about your well being. This was a very stressful event for me being a new truck driver and they took the time to make sure I was ok. I would definitely recommend Turney Repair and Towing for any towing issues you may have in the future!
Great response from Donna in the office and Tony was very helpful when he towed my vehicle. He diagnosed my mechanical problem and gave us rides when we needed them. A very positive experience for me!
Brandon and his team were fantastic. My truck was stuck following a severe snow storm during our elk hunt this last week and Turneys stepped in and saved the day! They were so busy this last week getting folks off of the mountain and yet the communication was solid. They are fair priced compared the other towing companies in the area. I hope you never have to need a tow but if you do, regardless of the situation, Brandon and team will get it done!

We were on our way to West Yellowstone, our travel trailer flipped on its side and the truck landed on all 4 tires. We are grateful no injuries, this crew worked all night to get us towed to a safe place. Several days we were in their yard and everyone was kind and helpful. Great experience for such a horrific situation.

I talked to Toree and told her of our situation and she was so understanding and compassionate and told us to see Daniel and he would get us set up. Karen in the office was so nice to chat with while repairs were being done. Kelly I believe that was his name I'm sorry if I got it wrong. Was our mechanic and was very knowledgeable and gave us helpful advice.
We were on our way quickly.

I cannot recommend this business more. Really great people that will answer your questions and work with you. I'm from Arizona and I was headed to my Dad's house in Billings. I had a deer run out in front of my car on Hwy 41 and hit my car. It did an extensive amount of damage.. They were prompt in getting me. It happened on a Sunday. Call them if you get in a similar situation they will not disappoint.
They helped me with the tire change when I was stranded with a blowout. Keith was very professional got me back on the road in no time. I don't live here so didn't know who to call.they were second company I called in the evening hours. from the compassionate wonderful woman on the phone to Keith I felt safe and cared for.thank you guys again!
Brandon and his team are thoughtful and considerate. Unfortunately, I hit an elk up in the mountains. I really felt like I was rescued by the first responders as well as Brandon who came to retrieve my vehicle. He was able to help set me up in a hotel and got me a discount. The next morning one of his drivers (Griz) was able to take me North to Butte to get a rental car. Upon return to my vehicle to retrieve my items out of it, I was treated with utmost respect kind of like a family member. I was invited to come back and visit the next time I'm in Montana as I am from California. I will definitely take them up on that.
Mike, who was sent from the AAA dispatch, was the kindest and most helpful person. When my wife and I were stranded in Butte, we said we were planning to sleep in the vehicle.
He instead towed us all the way to Bozeman at 10:30pm. If I could give him six stars, I would. Absolutely incredible people.
Awesome company with awesome owners Brandon and Torree Turney. We broke down 20 miles outside Dillon on fathers day. Not only did they tow our truck and 5th wheel but they let us stay in their parking lot until we could find a place to tow our trailer to. Also a big shout out to Mike and Grizz our tow truck drivers, awesome guys thank you.
During our annual summer travels, arrived in town with an undiagnosed diesel leak in the old F350 truck that pulls our trailer-home. On our way to Glacier National Park with hard-to-come-by reservations for an RV park site and tours coming up soon. We couldn't continue without addressing the issue. Mr. Turney is the only diesel mechanic in town and extremely busy, but he worked me in, diagnosed the issue, got the part and fixed the truck. His staff even provided a ride to and from, as we had no other transport. We are very pleased with him and his operation. He really helped us out of a jam.
I broke a spring on the front axle on my semi. Chris dropped what he was doing and came and got me patched up enough to get it to their shop then took me to get a rental car. I got the parts and he fixed it on Memorial Day. The price was good too considering it was a holiday. I've never met these people before but I highly recommend.
Professional Towing at its finest! They came out on a Sunday afternoon during the peak of hunting season with two tow trucks to pull my Jeep out of a creek. They jumped in the ice cold Montana creek to attach cables without a second thought! They even we able to get the vehicle off of a massive rock that was about to puncture the fuel tank without leaking any environmentally harmful chemicals into the creek. Great prices and unparalleled quality of service with a friendly and amazing staff!
45 miles south of Dillon, spotty phone reception and a 20 foot loaded trailer with a blown out wheel bearing. I thought for sure I was spending the weekend in Dillon and I had no idea how my trailer was going to make it home from the NB 15 freeway in Lima Mt. I spoke to Toree from Turney and she was out of town but started making some calls on a Saturday afternoon. Griz from Turney Towing arrived about an hour later and I don't know how he did it, but he got my trailer on his tow truck and back to the Turney Repair Shop while keeping his cool during the difficult tow. Griz and Mick got to work and an hour and a half later they had the bearing repaired and got me and my son back on the road. They were all amazing. I am so thankful for their professional and amazing service. My family is grateful. I highly recommend this repair shop.
Toree and Brandon Turney, Owners of Turney Towing and Repair, were so helpful to my wife and I. Great staff and great mechanics of the diesel engine. We had to be towed because of faulty injectors and Brandon diagnosed the problem promptly. They were able to tow my truck home with my wife, two dogs, and myself that very day for we had been stranded for a couple of days because the truck wouldn't start. After Calling AAA the driver for Turney's came to get us and took us to their shop to try and get it started and discovered that there was a bad injector. Not wanting to wait until Monday to get parts and have the truck serviced they kindly towed us to Missoula to my mechanics shop there. They went above and beyond the service that they were retained for. I would Highly recommend these folks for towing or any mechanical service.
I was stuck in Dillon last week with fuel problem with my truck. The crew at Turney was nice knowledgeable and family oriented. Brandon and Tony did a great job get me back on the road. Thank you Turney Repair for all your hard work.
This family owned business is fantastic! We were driving to Canada and broke down about 70 miles out of town... Literally barely making it to Dillon. Monday morning we called around and Turney repair was recommended. Even though they were booked 2 months out, they took the time to assist getting us back on the road. The RV needed a fuel pump. They were reasonably priced, more than reasonable really and just so kind. Tori even drove me, three kids and my Mom into town so we didn't have to sit and wait for hours. She showed us the park with splash pad. It was a fabulous experience and we can't thank them enough for getting us back on the road!
We ended up stranded in Dillion the day before Christmas Eve. Turney Repair had just started their weekend and still came to our rescue. Every single staff member that we came in contact with over the phone, or in person were some of the friendliest people. They towed our van, gave us a ride to a hotel, helped us find a rental, and had our van fixed in no time at all. Their prices are more than reasonable and their service is exceptional. Thank you for helping us return home safely Turney Repair. Dillion is a lucky town to have you guys! ❤️
