I work with an outside towing service. I was early for an appointment call. Walked into the reception area. Told them what I was here for. The staff in my eyes shrugged turned there noses up at me and told me they never heard of the company I worked for. And said they do nothing leaves without an appointment. And instructed me to leave the property. All the while the person's car is was sent to pick up was still in route to the location with the scheduled appointment date & time. I NEVER felt ice cubes and such cold respect for anyone like that before. BE CAREFUL if you must conduct business with this company.

Stole my plates and all of my property out of my vehicle and offered a $200 check to try and bribe me so I wouldn't take legal action. They count on people not knowing what to do to protect themselves.

This company is horrible. They towed my daughter's car and in the process road over my grass several times and hit my car in the process. Then lied and said my daughter's car was blocked in. Told us several times that they were sending someone to repair my lawn. I wrote into the Attorney General also the BBB. Those tow truck driver was did a horrible job.

They received my car two nights ago. A release was sent yesterday for me to retrieve the vehicle. I called this morning to retrieve the vehicle. The woman who answered the phone came off very rude. I’ve also never seen a towing/reposession place not have same day appts. The woman told me her next available appt would be the following day at 3:30p. I even tried to explain I need to get back to work today, as a necessity. She did not care. Lots of sighs as if annoyed. I guess if they’re not the ones missing money, it doesn’t matter. I’m hoping when i retrieve the vehicle tomorrow it’s a better experience as I’ve read most of the reviews and am very wary on what i may walk into. If they have all their money, they should work with people to get their vehicles back in a more timely manner or show consideration.

Would like to say this wasn’t there fault and there doing there job I had my vehicle repossessed and I got it back just as promised with no problems at all the owner was very nice the lady at the front desk was nice yes my mirror was off but that wasn’t a issue at all my fault for not saying anything this company is great and amazing just knkw if you don’t pay your stuff expect to be gone don’t yell at these guys for doing there job!!!

You have predatory practices. Refusing to accept payment for towed vehicles without a scheduled appointment while the car owner rack up storage fees. I can’t believe the City of Bridgeton allows you to prey on their local citizens this way.

Star is based on price---Car was recently towed by this company-- apparently someone at my apartment complex had a issue of a car in a parking space (not by other cars) this company charges a arm and first born to just try and get your stuff (if you can't get the car out of the inpund yard). I called and on day 1 was quoted a price of $350 to cone and get my items out car, and provide the car title. If I wanted to get the car it was going to be $400 CASH-- no cards!!!! There are Storage fees per day-- $30+ and to pick up or get stuff out of car t is by appointment only from the hours of 1-4 pm.

I came to retrieve my items out of my old car. When I arrived, I was speaking to a gentleman that told me to go in the office and speak to the staff so schedule and appointment. As I am talking to him here comes an older white guy, and he immediately starts yelling saying that I was not allowed to come in. I told him that I was there to retrieve my government property that was in there and he told me he did not care that I had scheduled the time (which the first gentleman I already had made me aware of) I kept my cool and continue to talk to the gentleman that I was speaking to and told him that he was much more pleasant. The staff in the office was very Respectful and make sure that I got what I needed. I’ve seen in the recent reviews that there is a picture of the gentleman that I’m referring to in this message. My suggestion is the company get Rid of him immediately he has not a good representation of the company! He definitely gives off the impression that he is racist!

Hope and prey this place doesn’t get ahold of your car, because you won’t get it back the way you left it. They tossed a full ash tray in a bag full of my stuff, dog treats dumped into my floor board, and multiple items missing. Absolutely no respect for other people’s property.

They were very rude and threw all my belongings in trash bags even an ash tray that got ashes all over my stuff. Also when I went to pick the car up they made me stand out in a severe thunderstorm where it was hailing. Overall terrible service.

No issues. Everyone I spoke with on the phone and in the office were helpful and kind. No issues with getting my car, no damage to my vehicle and I got everything back that was in my vehicle. It was a stressful, unfortunate situation I got myself into but this company helped make this less stressful.

Car loan companies, DO NOT do business and attach your brand's credibility to Image Recovery Service located in Bridgeton, MO. Their systems and processes, and their staff did not make the situation easier. The front desk staff was kind and prompt. Even though there was some miscommunication, they were were prepared and ready to handle any questions or concerns I had. Unfortunately they have to get roped into the madness of ONE man, who took what should have been a 15-20 minute appointment, and prolonged it to an hour. Upon arrival the front office staff gave me a waiver form to release my vehicle. On the waiver they ask you to sign, it states that your vehicle has not been damaged outside of previous damages, however they did not have my car ready for me to review before signing. When I asked to see my vehicle before signing, I was then told I had to move to the back of the line, even though I already had an appointment. Once my vehicle was prepared to view, a man, who's name was not given, guided me to my vehicle which not only had been damaged, was missing property, but also had the incorrect license plates. When I inquired about my property and the systems at hand, he proceeded to yell and curse at me. He refused to finish the inspection and threatened to call law enforcement. He told me that I would not be able to retrieve my vehicle, even though I had paid my fees, and was following the process the company put in place. He accused me of verbally assaulting the staff, which they all confirmed did not happen, and made the overall experience long and unpleasant. Very racist behavior. Loan companies please do not do business with Image Recovery Service located in Bridgeton , MO. They are tainting the reputation of other businesses due to their inefficient processes and their disrespectful staff. Please see the attached photos of the man who made this experience less than pleasurable.

I had to come on here and leave a review. I picked up my car the other day and was a little worried what was gonna be in it and stuff but ended up having no problems at all. Everything was in the car and they was all nice. I work for a tow yard I know what it’s like to deal with people when you have the cars and are not happy about it

I went in there expecting the worst because of the reviews and it was nothing like I read. Thank God! I’m black female and they treated me very well. Communication was great and not one problem. (In person and on phone)My car was not damaged. ( I did have a flat but the owner agreed to fixed it and I didn’t have to put up a fight) Nothing was stolen and I retrieved my gun from the police station without any problems or delays… I only wrote this review because my experience was good and I want other ppl that read the reviews to know it wasn’t like what ppl were saying… they must have came with a bad vibes

I haven’t been able to pick up my vehicle due to a lack of poor communication( between them and my bank) although I understand this isn’t 100% their fault , the least they could do is have better customer service. I’ve called. At least 5-6 times in the last four days, and every single time I don’t know if it’s the same lady or a different one, but every time the customer service is Horrible!! They always seem to have an attitude and they are not very pleasant to speak with. They accuse me of not correctly filing paperwork, instead of having a more positive customer service experience.

I have drag marks up my street from my AWD vehicle being dragged. They would not let me go through my vehicle, they conveniently left all my change, approximately 10$ I use for city parking for my job. They destroyed a brand new bottle of perfume- and I was told it was a liquid! They are very rude- Left the actual furniture I had in my vehicle out of my belongings. I planned on getting my vehicle back- but dealing with this horrible company who destroyed my car as it wasn't a good drivable car- I am sure they ruined the transmission. If I do not get my stuff from them I plan on making sure my finance company, the BBB and everyone knows how unethical this company is, as they love to steal from vehicles and customers! BBB is getting a complaint from me about this crazy crazy way they process vehicles and steal. People should be able to get their own belongings- that is my car- you don't own it- just towing it for the finance company!!!

No complaints just yet. I just want to keep this here as a placeholder. They gave me an appointment date a week in advance. I showed up to retrieve my vehicle that was erroneously repossessed. The kind employee told me they do not have me in the system for an appointment. I made another appointment. I asked the employee if she could send me a confirmation email or text with the appointment date on it so I don’t come back and they say they don’t have me in the system. She informed me that they don’t do confirmation emails or texts. In other words, there’s no proof of the appointment date (unless you record them). We are just supposed to take them that at their word. This place always has arguments. Even the tow drivers argue with the lot employees. I’m just placing this here so that I know something suspicious is happening if I show up again and they say “Car? What car? Sir this is a Wendy’s.” 😂😂

Damage damage damage … that’s all I see this company damaged my car badly to the point where it’s not even drivable . It was in their possession for 2 days .. then when I asked ifnincouldnspeak with the owner about it I was ignored and directed to stand outside the office , so she can help other customers. They are extremely unprofessional and inconsiderate. I’ve been trying to contact the owner after being told to wait for him outside for over 30min and still nothing . There’s no way to contact him so they say. When I picked up my car the front desk associate WENT THROUGH MY WALLET to give me my ID and my bank card … why she rummaged through my belongings in front of me as though I Wasn’t allowed to access my personal belongings. I had to sit there and watch her dig through my wallet.. Then I get my car and noticed it has been completely ransacked! I will add pictures so that you guys can see the damage that they did to my car and they’re refusing to fix my wheel is completely crooked .. wheels no longer aligned and basically undriveable and because whoever picked my car up had to squeeze it out of tiny concrete driveway …in now have scratches dinks and dents along my entire side of my car. Damage that was non existent before they came along. I really wish they were professional enough to handle this professionally but it seems as though. I’m going to have to take the legal route instead . Not to meant on the paperwork they had in the office that they had me sign says there was nothing wrong with my car when they picked it up then why when I get it there’s an enormous amount of damage . My car is also undrivable. My wheel is completely sideways which it absolutely was not before and if I had the time to sit and wait for the police to follow the police report then I would have done that, but unfortunately, I had to get back to work so I had to un safely Drive my car back to my job. The good thing is it wasn’t that far because if I had to go any further than the two or 3 miles I probably would have wrecked my car due to the wheel alignment being completely off when I go to my mechanic and get a full list of everything that was destroyed I’ll come back and update my review, but these are all just physical what I can see with my naked eye based off of how my car is now I’m pretty sure there’s more damage done that cannot be seen

First, the person recovering the vehicle drug the car, with wheels locked, down a city block before changing his direction. Truly incompetent…Then you have to pay $60 to get your item out of the car just to not be given everything. This place takes your items and then you have to file a police report just for them to do nothing about it. It’s not just the nature of the business, it’s their horrible customer service and lackluster crew stealing your items. Lol, your disgusting response further shows your lack of commitment to custom service. There are absolutely things missing but when you get the police report, you’ll just continue to make excuses for hiring thieves…unless you are one as well. I have recovered my legal firearm. Maybe you should have involved the police department from the beginning and maybe I would have everything. The incompetence started at the top, I see.

They are making it super frustrating, my husband car got repossessed this morning! He was on my way to drop me off at work just to find out he couldn’t take me because all these people took his car! Mine you all of our stuff we need for work is in our vehicle! They want us to wait till Monday to pick up his car! I have a risky job!!! Everything I need to get into my job is in the vehicle!!! I’m hot because you’re quick to take the money but slow to give back people their stuff! The vehicle is paid off now give us the car today! You don’t like receiving bad reviews but just look how you run business and respond back to the customers even if there negative, you should be presenting yourself in professional manner not clapping back with disrespect! This why us as black folks are looked at in such a way! -Your responses are so bitter smh. It’s 2024 and the race thing is still current! Black people always lack professionalism. I've seen numerous poor ratings on here. However, my experience with Image Recovery Services was great. The young lady who helped me today, was very nice, another young lady in the front office said hi to me with a smile, and several of the tow guys yucked it up with me briefly. The gentleman who brought me my vehicle said he had one like mine once upon a time and drove it until he couldn't anymore. I said I hated the circumstances that got me there in the first place, he understood. Nobody there talked down to me or treated me like a second class human being. I drove up to QT, washed my vehicle, and listened to some jazz as I went about my day. Thank you!

Not deserving of any stars. I wouldn't wish this place on anyone. The women in the front absolutely are brutal. In this line of work there's no compassion or even pleasant tone of voices while interacting with people going through a traumatic experience. *Update See the owner's response as a direct reflection of my original sentiments! How ever I will give further insight. I came in quietly and in a calm manner, I waited until I was helped. On this particular instance I felt that when I asked for copies of the paper from the transaction that transpired, the response was rude in tone and my request was declined for a reason that I'm sure is not legally written out in this facilities policy. It would've taken no slight away from the worker to accommodate me with copies for my personal records, instead of re-directing me to the other party involved. Further more; this main review is based on two separate occasions where I've had un-pleasant experiences. To be a bit more friendly and understanding that everyone is going through life is the take away here. But i'll let you guys "the 👀public" read the owner's response and gather what you will! ✌🏾👋🏾.

Ian is just doing his job. He’s not a terrible human. They’re just running a business. Through a bizarre series of events, our car was repossessed. It happened on a Thursday night. We dealt with the finance company the next day on Friday, got the car released & didn’t make it to the satellite lot in Cahokia fast enough to get our car Friday afternoon. Ian came out, talked to us, explained why they couldn’t just get the car out for us then, signed a piece of paper promising that our fees would not hike up over the weekend, and sent us away with an early afternoon appointment on Monday. It’s a huge inconvenience to have to wait all weekend to pick the car up but really - that’s not Ian’s problem. It was a timing issue. We were all working against the clock. The repossession driver that showed up Thursday night was incredibly kind too. He explained what was going on, gave us a lot of good information and *had a body cam on and running*. I super appreciated that about the entire ordeal. Keeps everyone honest about the interaction. He has shared with us that he had been shot at, tried to be fist fought and had the police called on him several times in the last week alone. They’re all just people doing their jobs, running a business and trying to make a living - just like the rest of us. Thanks again Ian - looking forward to driving my car home on Monday afternoon!

Very rude and ignorant to me, they had my car less than 24hr and took everything out of my car and threw something’s everywhere on the floor. Things were stolen out of my vehicle a diamond necklace also a Bluetooth aux along with other things. When asked about the things I was told “those items should still be in there” but they were not the case to my diamond necklace was still in there but not the necklace nor the other items. Thieves and prejudice!

They stole my floor jack out my van. Now I need to replace my brakes and don't have a jack. Was told to fill out the paperwork for missing items. Did that, turned it in and now they don't have a record of me filling it out. If you ever have to go here I hope you have a good memory of and recipes of what was in your vehicle before you leave because they will take things. Edit: I did contact you all. And got a nasty attitude about not having the paperwork in your system. Also my jack is gray I was offered a red or blue one. Why can't I get mine back? And the cord to my 12v cooler.

I read all the reviews before going in to retrieve all my things from my car and was expecting the ladies in the back to be rude. However, my experience was fine. No one had an attitude and I was greeted well. I personally think all the negative reviews are from customers who had their cars taken without expecting it. For example, Me personally, I knew my car was up for repo and I wasn’t upset when it was taken. I had plans to file for financial freedom. With that being said, I had no reason to walk in with an attitude or to be upset. I feel if you give an attitude or you’re being rude to someone.. they will return the same energy. With all that being said. My experience was good. It just depends on your situation and why your car was towed. Also, let’s remember that people only post negative reviews. Which is why I chose to post a positive one, I don’t want other who suffer from anxiety to stress about going here. It will be fine.

They Wanted my husband to sign paperwork, saying that nothing was damaged or taken from his truck without even showing him his truck. We had already been advised by our auto loan company, not to sign anything from them . The man told him he couldn’t get his truck if he didn’t sign all the paperwork . Probably would’ve had law-enforcement involved if he didn’t have to get right back to work .He missed two days of work trying to get his truck back from them. Every time we called they said they did not have the release which we knew they were lying. Then, when we finally did get them to schedule an appointment, they made us wait for two days. The girls were super rude, snotty and unprofessional and very ignorant. Did not have any idea what they were doing. And on top of it, all the numbers they wrote on his windshield they did it in paint. Terrible place. Should not be in business.

I took my brother there on Wednesday 09/27/2023. It's a good place to go if you like profanity spewed on you from the employees. I've never been there before and this old man working there just started cussing me out for sitting in my car for 5 minutes waiting on my brother to come back out. I was in my car and it was running, he started yelling at me with all kinds of profanity because I was blocking the gate? I've never been there, I didn't notice a gate. I told him there should be a sign, that made him even more aggressive! So I said I was sorry, pulled out and sat in front of the side doors, he came back and started spewing more profanity my way! He said I was blocking the other gate! There was no where to park! Plus I was just sitting there for a few minutes! I said dude! Do you really have to be like that? My brother and sister in law started yelling back at him, cussing I believe. I'm not used to such aggressive behavior from a person working at a company I am visiting! I am not the type of person to get into a profane cussing match with an employee working at a business I'm visiting. What kind of place are you running anyway? I'm not the type to sue, but I felt really violated by this individual and I am thinking about it! I did nothing except be ignorant to the policies of this company! I did not leave my car so I was not 'parking' in a prohibited area. This business is horrible to visitors! I would definitely NOT reccomend! Sandy My brother and sister in law were defending me AFTER this man approached me the SECOND time. Not saying their response was correct. I did not see any signs, and I was NOT parking. I was sitting in my running car, waiting 5-10 minutes for them to come back out.

They repo-ed my car on a Tuesday and was supposed to drop it off at another location but never did. They held my car for 6 days bcuz they say their flatbed broke down. So when I finally found out that my car was still with them bcuz they failed to let anyone know they charged me a fee to get my car off their lot! If they had done the job they are paid to do which is pickup and drop off the car none us this would have happened. The girl that answered the phone is rude and doesn’t know what she is talking about. I don’t suggest using this company at all.

This company is absolutely disgusting. For the past 24 hours, I’ve had had nonstop ordeals. On top of every employee (except the nice young man who brings out your things) being incredibly rude, they don’t care about providing decent or even thorough business. They denied me documentation that had my signature and information. My vehicle ended up on a flat tire with no cause or explanation. I’m missing items which I previously asked how they are documented and accounted for for this exact reason to which the owner, Ian, responded that he would not be answering my questions. An older gentleman physically snatched paperwork from my hands and proceeded to attempt to get into a physical altercation with me, a young women half his size and age. Ian, the owner, explained that he “spoke with” this employee, but then turned around and said the ladies up front (who I could hear from the time I walked in to the time I left talking about customers in a negative and and rude manner) saw that I snatched the paper from the older man (which is not possible when there is a human body standing between them and myself). Upon speaking with Ian, he all but dismissed my grievances because I am not technically his client and because he’s been in business for a decade it entitles him to throw decency out of the window. These people and this company are disgusting and clearly have a certain idea of the people they interact with. If you ever have to deal with them, get it over with and FAST. Edit: take a look at how the owner responds to negative feedback, all of which sounds completely legitimate after dealing with them, insulting and mocking, acknowledging that his employees could stand to be more professional when handling people and their items.
