I ordered a few parts and mistakenly selected the wrong year for one of them. I tried to email before they shipped but wasn't expecting to catch them in time. Matt took the time to address the problem and email me back that it had been corrected. I know it's a small thing but I really appreciated it. Thanks Matt!

I can’t recommend Z Car Depot based on my recent experience. I ordered a set of CV axles for my 240Z with hopes of improving my car’s driveline. Unfortunately, the axles had play between the inner and outer parts, which caused a loud clunking sound when I hit the gas. After trying to troubleshoot every other possibility, it was clear the axles were the problem. When I reached out to Z Car Depot, they were totally dismissive, saying they have sold hundreds of axles and no one has ever had a problem. I sent video evidence of the issue, but they kept insisting that the axles were fine and suggested it might be something else in my driveline causing the clunk. After a lot of back-and-forth, they agreed to process a return. But the entire process was a mess. Here’s where it got really weird: Instead of just dealing with the problem, they decided to install the used axles I returned onto one of their own cars to “test” them. I get that they wanted to see if they could replicate the issue, but it was just unprofessional and strange to put my used parts onto their own car. It felt like they were trying to avoid taking responsibility for a defective product rather than addressing the problem head-on. The real frustration came when I received the wrong return shipping label from Z Car Depot. I dropped off the package at FedEx, only to have it sent back to my home the next day due to the incorrect label. They didn’t offer to make it right—instead, they scolded me for not contacting them first. They basically told me I was in the wrong for not waiting for them to fix their mistake. They said, “We are not an open checkbook.” When I expressed my dissatisfaction, they said that I was lucky they were even taking the time to talk to me. On top of all that, they hit me with a 20% restocking fee because I didn’t have the original packaging. I get that’s their policy, but considering the product was defective, there’s no reason they couldn’t make an exception after all the time and energy I wasted. I’ve been a customer of Z Car Depot in the past, but after this experience, I’m done. The lack of professionalism, poor customer service, and their refusal to take responsibility for defective parts has lost them a customer. If you're looking for quality parts and real customer service, look elsewhere.

Seller has been receiving stock from Nissan with machined marks , I was very upset although this really is not the sellers fault. Seller handled the situation very professionally albiet I was very frustrated. In the end the product did not meet my expectations. But really that’s Nissans fault . Would do business again if it was warranted , although I wish this knowledge of the part was noted on the product page.

Awesome place to get parts for your vintage Z. Just do not expect a prompt response regarding any issues you might have. I purchased a bunch of parts for my 72 240Z. The big purchase was the replacement CV axels. I had rebuilt my stock axels several times and they still ended up being clunky. I still have he stock R180 rear end. When I went to bolt the new CV axels to the rear end the flange would not seat properly on the differential side. I sent a message asking if anyone else had had this issue. Crickets. I used a micrometer to measure the studs on the R180 and the holes on the cv axels. Sure enough they were a few thousands too small on the axels. There was no way they were ever going to mate up properly. I used a reamer on the side I was putting on the differential and they now fit perfectly. Put some blue loctite on the studs before installing a lock washer and a nut. They sure look good installed. It would be nice to let any potential buyers know with an R180 that you might have to ream the side out you are mating to the differential. The wheel side is fine. Except for this little bump Z Car Depot is an awesome place to get Z and 510 Parts. I keep getting error trying to add pictures but you should get the idea. Thanks.

Matt at ZCar Depot really went out of his way to help me find the correct radiator, fans, shroud, etc. for my '78 280Z. A successful project always starts with the right parts, and I'm confident my car will be roaring down the road with a cool engine in no time at all. Thanks to Matt!

Overall good experience. Shipping is fast unless you order on weekends. For some reason they don’t ship Mondays? The only issue I’ve had was the distributor rotor was a bad Chinese quality; ended up tossing it. Other than that solid company.

Its crazy how i just reminded myself to write about this company. I bought my 1972 datsun 240z in France in 2018 and i almost finished it now.. during this for years i places about 29 orders with this company. 80% of the car is made with this company product, they are very reliable , amazing customer service. But i want to write this because of one guy, Matt. This guy is outstanding, providing the best customer service ever seen in my life, even my wife who is a director of chanel boutique in paris told me this guy shouldn’t helped you like this, its way beyond his duties. Indeed, matt has been always patient, understanding my french english writing and took time to explain everything i asked him that i couldn’t understand on youtube videos. More of that , he always hepled with information, updates ect … really if you want to restore a datsun , z car depot is definitelythe website to go for, the website is amazingly easy to use compare to other companies ( T3 is very good as well) . Just want to say thabks to Matt and for all the team of z car depot !

Undeniably the best selection of parts for these vintage cars. However, that experience is a little sullied by customer service. It takes them weeks to respond to emails and correct issues. Communication needs work. To me, thats everything in an ecommerce shopping experience.
