Whatever you do, don't buy a home or build one within this HOA community..
I got to say this has been the worst experience of our life.
HOA will nickel and dime you to death, and let's not even get started about having security right homeowners tickets. Save yourself fine somewhere else to live. If not, you will wish one day you did .
DON'T BUY ARE BUILD A HOME HERE IN ( HIDEAWAY LAKE CARRIERE MISSISSIPPI)
If you have lived in upscale neighborhoods, you will be severely disappointed when moving into HAWL. The amenities are there, but the execution reminds me of a redneck yacht club. Everything is old and outdated, including everything from the decor in the clubhouse to the layout of the website and newsletter. It's like HAWL is the country bumpkin half-a** version of what it was originally supposed to be. For as much money as this HOA makes, I'm surprised things aren't better looking, or better maintained. And what is with the sewage smell at the entrance to the subdivision? Been there since I moved in bac in October and no one seems no notice? You'd be better off moving elsewhere.
Had the GIGANTIC pleasure of experiencing this place as we were looking to buy in this SECURE community and with God's blessing - we will be moving in upon closing. This area is amazing but the current house owners are just adorable! I would adopt them if it were possible but I think their current family would assume we wanted something more than just to love them and treasure their company. Losing your parents is something I am not sure that anyone recovers from.
I own a home up in this community. Security is very nice and the people in the office or pretty nice. The issue I have is they drive around taking pictures of your property trying to find issues to give you a fine for. I purchased my home which had a large pile of old branches that look like it had been there for over a year in the middle of my back yard. I live on a corner so you can see somewhat in my back yard. I trimmed my hedges a little and threw a few branches on top of this pile. Next thing I know I get a certified letter telling me it's against their regulations to have this in my yard. I think it's hilarious this pile had been there for over a year possibly two years it never offended them or bothered them until I bought the house.
Very pleasant experience Beautiful surroundings very eficent and knowledgeable personal. Club is beautiful and beach and pool are very well maintained by staff.
Great Extremely large community,should have it's own zip code, Although I still have one Issue with the community and that is residents pay pretty hefty dues and residents in 5he back east side have 3 miles to get out the only 24 he Security Gate when the Southgate could be open 24/7 as well.
That SERIOUSLY NEEDS RECONSIDERED YOU CAN AFFORD 1 GUARD
