DON'T SELL TO PULLENS Sold 2 car batteries today. I got 10 cent a pound. $8:20. 2 months ago I got $10 per car battery and $5 each for lawn mower batteries. I was selling my batteries to pullens because they paid more than Auto Zone Advanced auto and so on. I'm going to sell my batteries to the auto parts stores again. I got less for 2 batteries at Pullens than I would have if I just went to the auto parts stores instead. I don't doubt they are ripping everyone off on all scrap prices. Seller check pricing before you sell your scrap to these yards.
I just brought them 10 lbs of very clean aluminum and 50 lbs of steel/tin....I got $3.25. Let me say it again, 60lbs....$3!! If you combine them, that's less than .06 cents per pound! How can that even be legal. I will never take my business to Pullens Recycling again.
Good local yard to go to in Carriere.
Fair prices on tin & steel.
Copper price is a little low but not too bad if you aren't selling a lot of it .
Aluminum price is about half as much as most places.
Everyone here is friendly & helpful.
I have been going there for years, but I will not be going back anytime soon. Rude service and definitely gave me less on aluminum than the current price. The average price in Mississippi is .53 cents a pound. They gave me .30 cents.
Be careful who's working the scale when you go there. A couple of the guys that run the place when the old man isn't there like to tell you to throw everything in a pile without even looking to see what you have. If I go there while certain people are working I will take my scrap elsewhere. Got ripped off with my last load of some seriously heavy iron.
Prices are always low, they are shady to work with. They are known to take vehicles without titles or proof of ownership. Will never do business with them again, when you can go to another nearest location.
4 hours digging through rotten garbage to collect 11full bags of coke cans,8 full bags of soup cans 50lbs short iron,5lbs clean alluminum and walked away with $16.37!? i been going there for years but i will not be returning anymore i will take the drive to another town from now on if i have to but that place is a straight ripoff since the other scrap yards closed down
