Dishonest company and the gentleman at the front is extremely rude. Would never recommend this company.

Tried making an appointment to have my car looked at. John was not helpful at all and was completely rude and condescending. I ended up telling him forget it. I will go some place else where they will at least try and take my business and help me out. I Would not recommend Bernings if dealing with John.

It is really hard to find a mechanic shop that inspires confidence with accurate diagnostics and reliable repairs. Even after a preventive check-up, I thought the transmission would require expensive work. To my surprise, it only needed a small adjustment, and I was assured there was nothing to worry about. I am happy and confident to take my Sienna to Bernings. Thank you very much. 100% recommended!

A truly honest shop. I brought my F250 I. For what I thought was a transmission fluid leak. I pointed out what I thought it was. The easiest thing in the world would have been to replace what i said. They did not. They called and said Matt I cannot find a leak on this truck. Heartwarming honesty. I highly recommend

Thankful, Mark found out what was making my 2005 Honda sputter after my 200 mile weekly trip to the lake. Now At 82, I can confidently make the trip. Berning’s is the best and does what my son who maintains it can’t.

Great service! I had an exhaust leak right near a mounting flange. They were able to cut, weld and repair the leak while I waited. My first time here and it definitely will not be my last time, I strongly recommend them!

With little notice they had me bring my car in with starting issues. They diagnosed it was the battery. They installed a new battery. All of this was within 20 minutes and I was on my way. Fast service and reasonably priced.

This shop has honest employees! They don’t do anything on your vehicle without talking to you first. If you don’t need work, they tell you so without trying to get paid for something you don’t need! Been going to them for 10+ years!

Just got all four of my rotors, brake pads and tires done and it went flawlessly. I was able to drop my vehicle off Sunday evening because that’s what works best for me and I got a phone call by 11 AM the next day saying that my vehicle was already to be picked up. I definitely love the small town family feel I got from Andy and the crew. Highly recommend!

They saved me money AGAIN! I asked Bernings to install a trailer hitch for me. The place where they get some of their parts from wanted to charge $50 for the ball. They thought that it was too high so they checked around and ordered from another company in Mpls which saved me $25. That is the 3rd time, that I know of, where they considered my money into the equation! That's why we take ALL 4 of our cars there and tell ALL our friends about Bernings!

Berning's has become our go-to for auto repair services. They do great work, are trustworthy, don't recommend unnecessary repairs, and have fair prices. Just had an oil change and front brakes replaced on our Toyota Camry. Very pleased!

Butch is an excellent mechanic and super fair and honest. Did a lifter repair on a Chevy truck of mine and did it very fast and at a great price. Honest and reliable mechanic shop.

Won’t trust anyone else except Berning’s. Their service is excellent, prices are almost always the lowest, and their turnaround time has always been better than expected. John and Mark are friendly, honest, and trustworthy. Berning’s will have my business as long as I live here.

My son who lives in Eagan brought his car to a Tires Plus regarding a number of dashboard lights that suddenly came on. He was told he needed $4,000 in repairs. I told him to bring the car to Berning's for a second option. Bernings took a look and found that he needed some brake fluid and an adjustment to a sensor on this steering wheel. Total repair was $74! You cannot beat small town auto repair shops like Berning's. I would never go any place else. Trust them 100%.

We've been here 3 different times now, and each time they've been excellent! The first two times they squeezed my husband in before closing which we were extremely grateful for! Their prices are fair and we appreciate that they don't try to upsell us on things we don't need. Will be going to them for all of our maintenance needs from now on!

Absolutely the best!! Friendly, responsive, and the best price around. They were honest and answered all my questions. I had brought my car into the dealership for broken A/C and they told me a bunch of parts needed to be replaced for a total cost of over six thousand dollars. I took my car to Berning's for a second opinion and found out that the parts did not need to be replaced, just a few fixes needed to be made for a total cost of only $95!! Saved so much money and my A/C works again. Thank you Berning's!

After moving out here, I got tired of taking my vehicles to dealers or to other independent shops that were so far away now. So we tried Berning's for a simple oil change. Went well. Then we needed a tire repair. Same result. Then we needed new tires. Well done! Brought in a car for a leak recently, and seems to be holding. I can even drive there, drop off the car, and walk home! This couldn't be any better! And their prices are VERY competitive. Give them a try!

Called them at 2pm yesterday hoping to get my oil changed and 4-wheel alignment done on my Ridgeline. Mark and John found a way to fit it in and called at 5pm to tell me it was ready to be picked up. Found their full synthetic oil change was competitive as was their alignment charge. And they didn't try to sell me on anything else. I wouldn't hesitate to go back for future service needs. These guys are great. They offer options for repairs and explanation of the repair, they answer your questions if you come in or call, and they seem to be priced fair. I came in with a bad noise in my Jeep and asked if they would come with on a ride to hear it, they did and understood immediately what the problem was.

They used to be the only place I would take my cars. Bruce and Mark, the owners, are fantastic. But since Bruce is gone, and now this other guy John is in the picture, something as simple as a wheel alignment can't even be accomplished. I had to have them do it twice, and it still isn't aligned properly. Used to love going there, it's too bad things are no longer the way they used to be there.
