Becker auto repair was great! We got detoured through Alexandria and noticed our van was making a strange whining noise. Then a check/charge battery notice came on. Luckily we were still in town and found Becker’s! Our alternator was failing and we still had a four hour drive in front of us after we had been driving for 6 hours. They found the part (miracle 1) and were willing to fix it right away (miracle 2). They lent us a car to go get something to eat and an hour and a half later we are back the road. Thank you so much for making a vacation ruining event nothing more than a pit stop!

Was in town and my Volvo broke down. Stopped in to Becker Auto Repair. Al knew immediately what was wrong and got me in to have it fixed the next day after overnighting a part in. Hands down the best service I have ever received from an auto shop!!! I would drive the 2.5 hours to get here just to have my vehicle repaired by Becker Auto Repair (Todd and Al). Well done gentleman you have restored fair in the repair shop business!!

Absolutely TOP NOTCH customer service and expertise. We had a very complicated problem with our truck not blowing cold air conditioning anymore and not only did they get everything fixed properly but they also charged me almost $800 less than I was quoted at two other shops in Alexandria. I will def bring all of our other vehicles here for any future work. They truly went above and beyond and charged us very very fairly for the work that needed to be done. Very honest place to have your work done!

Suprizingly, They immediately made time to see if the check engine light was an emergency or something that could wait a little while to get fixed. He was very kind and took my car for a test drive. Since I only have one car and still needed to drive to work, he stated I'd be safe and set up an appointment for a few days later. On the day of my appointment, the moment I arrived, they were kind and helpful, not just to me but also to other people who needed assistance. Watching their interactions and helpfulness was heartwarming. ? My car was completed within minutes of the estimated repair time. The repair cost was reasonable too. They handed me the keys, and when I started my car, it was running dramatically better, and the check engine light had disappeared. I appreciate their help. ? If you want knowledgeable professionals who also know EXCELLENT customer service…. This place should be your top pick. I work as a nurse so I know how bad people can suck. These guys at this shop don’t suck. Al was so so nice to me and checked my car out when I was concerned I wouldn’t be able to drive it to a state playoff game due to a check engine light that came on. Due to their accommodating attitude and friendly demeanor, I chose to get my problem fixed there. They are my new mechanic shop and it’s worth the 45 min drive to get there. Thank you Beckers!!!

I can't say enough nice things about them. Two days before Thanksgiving I had done much of my shopping so had an SUV full and was headed to osakis to pick up lefse. My vehicle died just outside of Alex. Tow truck driver Trevor was fabulous and I said let's go to Becker Auto only knowing they had good reviews. It was cold and the owner I presume was concerned more about getting my SUV unloaded and into my sister's vehicle and our being cold than what might be wrong. We couldn't unlock all the doors so he crawled in and got all my bags out of the very back. Then we discussed my vehicle. By the time I got home and my sister's vehicle unloaded, they had called to let me know what was wrong and had parts ordered. By the time I checked my phone Wednesday morning, they texted saying my vehicle was done. All in all, he saved what was seeming like a really bad day. I cannot say enough good and an very thankful we accidentally found them. They will be our go to again! Thank you Becker Auto!!!!!

Our church is from out of town, and we called around to many places in Alexandria to see if we could get an appt as our van was having a major issue when we arrived. Your shop was able to fit us into your already busy schedule this past week. We received great service from your front desk staff, your prices and time to get the work done were very fair, our van is up and running great again! Awesome service. Was driving through town and needed Freon in my AC. They took me in within a half hour notice and charged me less than they quoted. Extremely friendly and you could tell that the customers all loved them. Very well run shop and they know their stuff.

My car started overheating while I was an hour from home so I was stressed. I called 4 other places and was rejected for emergency service because they were all backed up with other customers. The guy at Becker was busy too. But he had me come over to take a look to see if there was anything he could do quickly to make sure my truck didn't totally break down. I was in and out in 20 minutes, found out why my truck was overheating, got a quick fix and reassurance that his fix would last until I could get in for a more complete service job. Becker earned a loyal customer for their efficiency, expertise, and generosity.

Our son away at college with him having his truck break down. I usually fix our own vehicles but didn’t have the time. I was worried about being taken advantage of until I called Beckers. I spoke with Kirk or Kurt (sorry I fubar’ed the name) He made time and got it in right away. They even worked with our warranty company to get the repairs done fast and efficiently! 5 stars ⭐️ Thank you for your help getting our son back on the road. We will be back for any future breakdowns!

Todd is great to work with. He does what it takes to get your vehicle going properly and doesn't throw parts at it to see if it fixes the problem. Best shop in town hands down.

I'm not local to the area and needed my brake looked at so I could get back on the road. The brake was hot and stuck! This was late Friday morning. Todd with Becker Auto Repair was able to get me in right away and have one of his guys look at it and get the brake free. I checked with 2 other shops who couldn't get me in until the next week! Friendly, accommodating and professional service! Very grateful!!!

I was on my way up to Alexandria for a family vacation and my suv unexpectedly started experiencing problems. After trying multiple places, Becker was the only auto shop willing to go out of their way on the spot despite their busy schedule. I couldn’t be more appreciative for a business going above and beyond to ensure my safety in a desperate situation. Highly recommend!

I had them address a transmission fluid leak this fall. They replaced a shifter gasket, then the transmission gasket. This came to about $500 and two separate trips after Brecker sent me home with a car that was still leaking. Turns out the actual leak was my power steering rack. (It uses the same type of ATF oil). This spring, having given up of Brecker I set about repairing the gasket leak that had developed after they “repaired” it. When I took the transmission pan off I found they had stripped several bolts (which hold the pan on and will leak if stripped). That was a big error but when I got the pan off I found the “gasket” they had installed. The proper gasket is metal and rubber (in the back) and they installed what looks almost home made. Their service wasn’t cheap and actually would have severely damaged my vehicle soon if I wasn’t a home mechanic myself and noticed the leak. I called them to talk about refunds and heard nothing back. Truly disappointing from one of the shops recommended by many in the town. Maybe they’re more of an American brand place, but my BMW will never be going in to this shop again.

Todd (the owner) is all about customer service and is an expert mechanic. We had a major breakdown of our truck and were towed to his shop. He kept us informed throughout the entire process of diagnosing and repair. We were given a loaner car until we were back on the road the next day. We were treated so kindly, he truly cares about his customers. The unfortunate experience of a breakdown turned into an unexpected blessing because of Todd and his crew!

Brought my sons truck here to have a coolant leak fixed. After being charged more then what I was quoted for the repair and then driving the vehicle 3 times after the repair. All of the coolant dumped out of the motor while driving it, coolant is leaking from the part they supposedly just repaired. Now I have to pay to get my vehicle towed back to the shop to be repaired again and will be without a vehicle again for close to 2 weeks. Seems like the shop should be on the hook for this, but they didn't seem too concerned when I called. Just said to bring it back in and they will look at it. So after being charged more then I was quoted originally and now having to pay for a tow truck and probably get charged again for the repair I am less then impressed with Becker Auto Repair!

These guys are the BEST. Quick to offer help, and the prices are so affordable, im willing to drive over an hour just for their work. If your looking for a shop that is professional, kind, priced so fair, and always looking for the problem instead of just offering hip pocket solutions. You cannot ask for a better shop to work with you. Absolutely the very best!

I'm giving this business a 3-star (good) rating because of the owner, Todd, and his help in resolving my problem there. The quality of the work here was good. Just be wary of the man at the front desk with the glasses. He's usually the one answering the phones. He's older and Caucasian. I don't know his name but I had a terrible experience with him there today. Work was done on my car without my explicit authorization and just know that in Minnesota you have a right to a written estimate before any work is done on your car. I came in for an oil change and a check engine light. That doesn't mean I automatically authorized repairs for the check engine light! This man had a lot of assumptions. I wanted to get a general idea of what the problem actually was - hence why I took it to a repair shop. Any repair shop can use a check engine code reader to give you a general problem code. Then from there, you can decide if you want them to dig deeper and/or actually fix something. This one employee was the only problem I've ever had at Becker's. He made it out to be my fault when he is the one who never gave me a written estimate by law of the suggested repairs before performing them. I was naturally upset at this. At the end of the day, I wouldn't have been so upset if he hadn't made so many assumptions and personal comments like "oh I wish we hadn't taken your car appointment at all". When I demanded to see their Minnesota state license to do Automotive work, that's when I talked to Todd. That man at the front desk should definitely be written up. He called me unappreciative for work I didn't authorize. Todd even acknowledged the guy was under stress and apologized for him. Because of how great Todd was in the situation, I decided to pay for the service instead of spending more time on having them undo the repair. I recommend going to Shutter's for automotive work, but if you do go to Becker's, the work will be good and timely. Just avoid that man at the front desk. Unfortunately, I won't be going back to Becker's because of that man.

These guys are fantastic and do an excellent job for a very fair price! They truly care about their customers and staff. They also have rental equipment like skid steers with LOTS of different attachments, mini-excavator, enclosed and equipment trailers and construction job items and tools.

Incredible service, incredible folks they have working there. I was having some stalling issues with my vehicle (which I didn't take care of right away due to money, and admittedly a bit of laziness). I called the shop; while they were busy, Todd said he'd be able to fit me in! I dropped my vehicle off, and they were able to diagnose and fix the problem in no time! They were very helpful and knowledgeable about explaining what was wrong, and they were very fair with their price. Nice dudes who put care into what they're doing, would reccomend this place to anyone.

Incredible. All my service intervals came up at rhe same time, not a job I felt like doing. When I first called I got a friendly voice on the line. I’m impressed, great staff. The shop and office are clean. The staff is great! Definitely found a new shop! Thanks for the wonderful experience! Will definitely refer others!

I had an emergency tire situation on Tuesday on my way to work, I stopped at the shop and they were able to get my car in right away, inspect it and take care of it! They were absolutely helpful and understanding! I cannot stress enough how much I appreciated their willingness to help. They fixed it and I was able to make it to work. Excellent customer service, thank you.

This is the most reliable and honest shop I've ever been to. I've lived in 5 major metro areas and numerous rural towns and this shop's customer service is second to none. Their technician's skills also stand out! I can't praise them enough.

A few years back we brought our truck here because CEL came on and it was not running quite right. These guys did the diagnostics & it turned out to be a misfire due to a worn out ignition component. All they did was replace all of the old and worn out components with new ones and our truck still starts and runs like new even with 254,000 miles. Thanks for all of your help, everything is still working top notch to this day! Sorry I completely forgot to leave you a review.
