We came from 40mins away and let me say it was well worth the drive. This place was great. The service was outstanding (shoutout to Sarah) and they also sang Happy Bday to my wife which was a nice touch. The inside is very clean and the food was good. Can’t wait to return to and try other food items we saw coming out of the kitchen.
We love Hog Town!! We went there last night for dinner we got the ribs and New York steak, we both ordered the cream of mushroom soup (it’s def the best) we had a waitress named Lexie!! She is such a GREAT waitress never had to ask for a thing, she had us refills before we even had to ask!
I ordered the Rubin, perfectly seasoned beef, cooked sauerkraut to perfection, and just the right amount of Italian dressing in between layers of beef.
Fries were served with a dipping sauce of ranch but were delicious enough not to use it.
I don’t think I like the idea of being FORCED to pay 18% tip . I did pay more because the little one spilled the hot chocolate. Beside the point. Small town restaurant demanding a percentage tip is not right. This is not the big city. I had to find my server to pay the check 226.56. She was busy eating. Never again!
Oh my goodness...the best bbq sauce ever! Went there for the 1st time on Saturday at 5:30. Was seated quickly, our waitress and the staff was friendly and attentive, the food was wonderful and great prices. Will definately be going back again.
Absolutely love this place. The atmosphere is so comfy,service is great (Sara is our fav) and food is delicious. We try to make it once a week for drinks and dinner. ❤️ Salmon dinner has been my favorite and the pig tails!!!.
Just a little cute country diner that has awesome hot food. Take out service is even delicious and hot too! Friendly waitstaff!
Just be patient when waiting for takeout. Be observant, they are busy and they do see you and will be with you shortly. ?
We stopped in here at the recommendation of our Air B n B owner. Wow! We are city folk who travel quite a bit. Our first night we ordered the NY Strip and Prime Rib, our expectations were pretty low based on location. We were so wrong. The NY Strip was cooked to perfection. The perfect amount of blackening and seasoning. The Prime Rib was literally melt in your mouth. This NY Strip hands down beat out the185.00 Tomahawk we ate in Chicago just the week before. The service was top notch! Very attentive. The atmosphere was where our visit fell a little short. They sat us literally at the same table as another family. Separated by one open seat. We enjoyed our visit so much we returned the second night of our stay. Surely we wouldn’t end up in the same seat right? Wrong lol- exactly the same table. Outside of that, the food once again exceeded expectation and the service was just as amazing as the night before. Visit here if your out that way, you will not be disappointed. Kudos!!!!
This place is awesome from the time you walk in to the time you leave, we loved it. We sat around the corner kinda hidden and I thought for sure we would wait forever to get service, man was I wrong. Our waitress was friendly and personable, probably one of the best that we have had in a long time. The atmosphere is awesome and decorated very tastefully. The food was delicious from the fried pickles, to the Ruben and Mushroom swiss burger. Everything was fresh and hot and the branding on the bun was a nice touch. This was our first time there but we will definitely be returning!!! Keep up the good work hog town!!!!!
This is a great little place, a hidden gem if you will! The staff are incredibly kind and the food was outstanding. I highly recommend their pizza (BBQ Chicken in particular), and I am looking forward to trying their Polish Food (Wednesdays). Highly recommended!
This is my first time here, went with some friends. Was totally surprised. We got there after 6, parking lot was full, we took the Last 2 parking spots. Inside the place looked full, but they sat us right away. Menu was interesting. Food was excellent, good portions, and prices were reasonable. Interior looked fresh, clean and welcoming. Wait staff was friendly. There's outside seating also and they even have a fenced area for the kids to play on a swing set.
We stop at this restaurant every year for lunch after our girls attend horse camp. It is something we all look forward to. The food and atmosphere are both great. The outdoor seating allows for kids and adults alike to play games. Our favorite part is all the pig decor throughout the restaurant. If you're in the area, it's worth the stop!
Stopped here for lunch while working in the area. Very friendly staff. Very nice atmosphere. Delicious food! I just happened to be there on Polish Wednesday. Pierogi, stuffed cabbage, polish sausage ?. I highly recommend you stop in if in the area.
If you have not tried this gem out in Farm country, you are missing out big time! The recently renovated Tavern is equally redone inside and out with lots of yummy choices on the menu. I believe we finally made it through every dish and were not disappointed once! Get over there and take your pick off the menu. Thethethe that's all folks! ? I ended up coming here twice in one week. The first time (which was my first time) was on their Polish Wednesday. I split the Polish Dinner (with pierogies, Polish sausage, stuffed cabbage rolls.) And these were some of the best I’ve had. We sat on the attached patio in a large group. Because we had that whole section filled, I wasn’t surprised that it took longer for everyone to get their food. Just have to say kudos to the kitchen staff as I know there were a couple other large groups there at the same time.
Took my husband on Sunday around 3pm. We sat in the same section but the garage doors were all open on a beautiful day. It did bring flies and bees, but that was to be expected when eating outside. We both got the brisket special. Very good!
We definitely will be back and bring some family and friends who live further south than we do! Definitely worth the drive!!
Cool small town tavern. I was greeted at the door by the hostess and told her I wished to sit at the bar. She followed me to my seat and left me a menu and a basket of fresh popcorn. I reviewed the menu and they have some great selections. I only had a couple of beers this visit. The bartender was very friendly and efficient. I will definitely return for a meal.
Nice updated hidden gem in a small town. Its family bbq style restaurant with daily dinner specials. Food was delicious and service was fantastic. I would come here agian.

Been here a handful of times, and recommend to anyone in the area. Generous portions and kind service. Today (Thursday) is Italian night. My husband got the lasagne and I got Italian Pasta with shrimp. Both were great! They have Detroit city sodas and self serve keno machine. Also my go to spot for breakfast!

This is a jewel in the middle of farm country. From the beautifully decorated interior the great food and most of all the staff here made us feel like family! Make it a point to visit this great restaurant! You won't be disappointed!???????
New owners, a complete remodel and an updated menu, with great service. They may seem "remote" but are well worth the drive for the quality and quantity of food you get. Family friendly atmosphere and down home food.
You can still get a good burger and fries, but don't pass up on their daily specials. There's Italian, Mexican, and Polish night along with a prime rib dinner on Fridays.
Everything comes out hot and delicious. We've sampled numerous things on the menu and have never been disappointed. They recently started serving made-to-order breakfast on the weekends and that was good too.
Can we talk about their meat?
NOT typical restaurant fare. Whoever their supplier is, makes some really flavorful, thick-cut bacon, sausage, and smoked meat for their dishes. You can tell the difference!
Polish night was a nice surprise. We tried the combo platter and it was excellent. I know people are particular about their pierogies and/or stuffed cabbage, but it was done well and so flavorful.
And yes, they do carryout!
It's plated and packed as if you were sitting there in house. They don't skimp on details.
Overall, this place is a great dining experience in a relaxed atmosphere. They have a full service bar, great food and reasonable prices. They even have outside seating, weather permitting.
You may have a short wait on prime dining times, but it's worth it.
I highly recommend them!!! If you go once, you will probably come back again and again.
Great food and great service! Ashley was our waitress for a table of 15 ladies and she did a wonderful job managing our orders and remembering who had what. I highly recommend eating here.
We had a awesome lunch. Mushroom Swiss burger and fries, chicken Cesar wrap and chilli. Everything was great. The place is brand new. Staff was super friendly. Lots of parking full bar. Highly recommended.
