Called to see if they have a part in stock before I drive an hour to the only AutoZone who has it. (Customer stranded at our shop) Robert refuses to help, saying I have to go through our home store. After explaining 7 times that I simply want to make sure the part is in stock, he agrees to hear the part number. Upon hearing the last character of the part number, Robert IMMEDIATELY says they don't have it. (Despite our home store showing they do) I had to secretly get someone else involved when I arrived, and mysteriously the part WAS in stock. Robert is the most unprofessional person I've had to deal with in decades.

What’s the point of having a phone number if they never answer. 17 unanswered called later and a couple of busy lines from you guys just leaving it off the hook so it can’t ring. God awful service highly suggest going to a u pull before here.

Don’t know how to do her job says I can’t refund a part that’s under warranty although I can go to another store and refund it

Only reason it gets 3 stars this time is because it was late night and no wait. I bought some off the shelf part. Was able to get in and out quickly. Never the case during the daytime. Has always been understaffed at the front counter for decades. The employee turnover rate is very high, and the counter workers have very little car knowledge. Unfortunately, this is a Hub store for the area, and they carry many things the smaller stores do not. Order parts to be delivered to the store nearest to you. It is worth waiting for a day, or few hours to not have to go here, ever during daytime hours. Kudos to the nighttime crew this evening. But all they had to do is ring me up for one single item.

I called the store this evening on 9-7-25 at 6:04 p.m. I spoke to someone asking them if they had a heli coil or thread insert repair kit in stock for a 7/16-20 bolt hole. He said I don't even know what you're talking about but we may have some on the shelf I have a line of people in front of me can you hold a moment? I said yes please thank you. I waited for 30 minutes on the phone then hung up and called back with my phone being disconnected each time I called a number after it rang for a while never to be picked up again. Unfortunately this is the only place that's open late or you can get parts so their competition is zero and that aspect. A previous time I drove from the corner of the state of Michigan at Indiana and Illinois to pick up a fan belt for one of our Ford super duties. They told me there were two different sizes I said that's fine I will purchase both sizes given the length of distance I had to travel to try to get my employees back home with a broke down truck. Once I return (several hours later) to find that neither one of the belts were the correct size belt for the vehicle. I ended up paying for several hotel rooms for my employees as well as having to locate the correct belt the following morning. This is a poorly run operation and I don't believe it will stay in existence much longer if this type of behavior is allowed.

Good service but no knowledge on automobiles, I think you should have the background or at least some type of knowledge to work in the field...

Be careful when shopping here, they will give you incorrect part & will waste your entire day, make sure you have the right one or avoid this place

Great service and the guys help me finding the right parts for my car. The only negative thing, they have staff shortage and had to waite for half hour in the line.

I had to stand here for nearly an hour because there were only two employees managing the entire store. The service was extremely slow, and it felt like the staff were overwhelmed. Auto Value needs to hire more employees or better support the current team—this kind of delay is unacceptable for customers.

My least favorite location. Last Saturday, I needed a part for my classic car. I searched AutoZone’s website and found that the part was in stock at the Middlebelt location. When I approached the counter, I greeted the associate and provided him with the make and model of my vehicle, as well as the part I needed. The associate immediately said, "The older the car, the less likely it is to be in stock." I informed him that the part was showing as in stock at that location. He then asked me to provide the part number. I was a bit confused, since associates typically use the vehicle description to locate the part in the system. When I opened my browser, I realized I no longer had the window open and didn’t have the part number readily available. The associate responded, "You should be able to pull it up on our site." Rather than assisting me by searching for the part himself, he waited while I looked it up online. As a woman, I often encounter unhelpful or condescending male associates when visiting auto parts stores. However, this was the first time I’ve ever had to look up my own part number.

How can the store with the most employees be so horrible? Management has sucked for the last few years but this time took the cake. I ordered spark plugs online for in store pickup hoping it would help speed up the process.. Nope. 2 hours later I came in and still not pulled. No big deal. After waiting in line the red shirt employee pulls up the order and goes to pull it. Guy with Parts Manager on nametag walks up. Pushes him over and says Ill take over. Takes the ticket then picks up the phone for a personal phone call he had on hold while sending the other employee to door to stand around and great people entering the store, all while there was still a line, plenty of unmanned registers and then he sat there on his personal call for almost 10 minutes. I locked eyes with the now door greater multiple times. He finally shook his head and walked back my way. I asked in a semi loud voice if he would mind continuing to pull my parts since this guy apparently went on break. Only at this point did the manager end his personal call and go get my plugs which took about 15 more minutes. This hub store has the worst managers. Garden City, Wayne, Dearborn are all great but dont stock everything this store does. I HATE having to come to this mismanaged location. Always more people standing around than working.

Nobody willing to help and when asked for help got attitude then waited at checkout for over ten minutes while workers are sitting b.s. with each other. Need a complete overhaul management ended up just walking out and will not be back

Staff was awesome. He changed my wipers quick fast. Very helpful. I appreciate him

I wish this wasn't a hub store because I need to come here FAR MORE OFTEN than I'd ever like. As a previous Auto Parts Store GM, no one in this store ever knows has any sense of urgency, no direction or leadership from management.... And the worst part, I can walk in and grab a part from the shelves at ANY time, and won't be able to leave the store for at least 30 min

They sold me a used Parr, was demaged and put t9gether inside the box. It wasn't gonna be a big deal if the part was with me in usa but I shipped it to Switzerland to my friend for his mustang. I paid 130$ postal service because I had more parts and they gave me $10 off of the new same part plus I has to pay another 75$ to ship the new part and they didn't care. And I have pictures of it. That's an inconvenience ,

On Friday of the previous week, I purchased a set of lower control arms for a 2012 Scion xB. It was a very busy time at the store, and the manager assisting me took around 15–20 minutes to get the parts. I trusted the parts were correct and did not inspect the boxes myself, assuming they had already been checked. Yesterday, I went to install the parts and realized both control arms were for the driver’s side. The box labeled for the passenger side contained a clearly used and scratched driver-side control arm in an open bag. It appears this was a returned part that had not been verified before being restocked. When I returned to the store to resolve the issue, I was met with hostility and resistance. Rather than assisting me, the staff questioned my integrity and implied that I might have swapped the part myself. One employee lectured me about how she always shows customers the parts beforehand. I repeatedly explained that I simply wanted the correct part ordered. She continued to belittle me and told me to “turn it down a notch,” saying she never called me a liar—but her tone and comments clearly made it seem otherwise. Even after her coworker suggested exchanging the part, she still refused to place an order and dismissively asked, “What do you want me to do?” After trying to explain again that I wanted her to order the correct part, she refused. At that point, I gave up, left the part at their store and walked out. It was no longer about the part or the money—I was just fed up with the way I was treated. I have been a long-time AutoZone customer and have never experienced anything like this. I would appreciate it if someone could follow up on this situation.

Put an order in to pick up at the store around 2pm yesterday. Never received an email to pick up the order. No big deal. Stop by 27hrs later, order still not pulled. Now they don’t have what I ordered even though it says they do online. They looked at me like I was dumb by spending my money there. I’m thinking I am. Don’t go to store unless you have too.

Great Customer experience. Miscommunication about a part and the Manager name Angel went above and beyond to resolve the issue. 1st time in history someone has done that great of job.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE/STORE EVER!!! I went into the store just before 8:30 in the morning and it took over 10 minutes to checkout and get my car scanned, which I ended up doing myself. There were at least 5 people pulling online orders or whatnot while having 1 cashier and 4-5 customers to deal with. I wasn’t asked for my phone number when I brought up my item for purchase and I wasn’t given a receipt. I scanned my own car, brought the device back into the store so I could get the report AND receipt. Auto Zone has been my go to for auto parts, but this store is horrible!!! I will be sure to go to one of the others in the area moving forward.

Last week I went in for an exhaust flange gasket. Thought they sold me the right one but they did went in to try to find one the same or compatible and couldn’t find one so I tried to return the one that was $19 dollars and manger was rude and stated she’s not returning it without a receipt. Crazy because I’ve spent thousands with you guys last year just to be judged honestly over a $19 dollar gasket does bug me I would’ve thrown it away if I didn’t return. I just was already there.

Autozone Came here for a coolant hose. Very long drive for the only hose in south Michigan. Really. This place was pretty busy. Lots of customers. Clean. Fast workers. Not slow. Highly recommended

Ordered some intake manifold gaskets on their site and they were shipped from this store. Somebody there thought folding them to fit them in the box was a good idea. I guess you get what you pay for with free shipping. Would they seal? I don’t know but I’m not going to go through all the hassle of changing them just to find out they leak, especially because the bend is right across one of the intake ports. Just wish the autozone near me actually had the parts I need so I wouldn’t have had to order this and get it shipped. Tried it though because last time I tried to get a part delivered to my local autozone (from this same Livonia store) it was supposed to arrive soon but never came and they had no idea what happened to it and just reordered one for me a different way. This place has issues and maybe could use some training or different management.

I feel so fortunate to have come to this location. Nelson the assistant manager was such a pleasure to work with. He’s extremely knowledgeable, professional and efficient. I came to get a battery test and needed a new battery. He did the test, put the battery in, changed my back plate light and tightened the screws on my front plate holder. Everyone who was working in there also seemed very nice as well. Hope everyone has the positive experience I did. Thank you Nelson!

Notice! Notice! Notice! Deshon is the worst employee in this store and the worst employee I have ever seen in auto zone. When I bought the battery and asked him to help me replace it, he said he was very busy now. I replied I can wait until you are not busy. When the time changed, he said impatiently that he had been very busy. When I came back ten minutes later and continued queuing, he rolled his eyes at me! The management saw this message and wanted to fire him. He was not suitable for this job and arranged for him to move parts to the warehouse behind.

We stop here to have our battery and alternator looked at. Manager really helpful. Came out to our vehicle n checked everything with his diagnostic machine. Valvoline Oil change guys let us know that our battery warranty sticker date was overdue. Thanks everyone! We found out battery all good but alternator had a bad coil.(little bit) Go here for your auto needs. Stopping by Auto Zone for another visit to fix the old vehicle. In need of some wiper blades. Winter storms did a number on the set of wiper blades I had on the vehicle. Wiper blades were falling apart n streaking 2. Definitely time for new ones. Store looks clean n organized. Thanks again to the manager & the lady working at the front counter for all your help. Get the Zone....AUTO ZONE!! My vehicle needed a little love. I made a quick stop at the auto part store. A few light bulbs and a couple of fluids.

2 out of 3 visible employees were not wearing masks and had plenty of time to discuss taking lunches but not help the customer in front of us. We had to speak up just for the gentleman pictured to be asked if he needed service. Truly sad that y'all can waste people's time and put them at risk at the same time during a pandemic. Truly sad. Won't be returning to this location.
