Two years ago, I made a comment about how this company needed to change. Today, Dia has changed, and its efficiency has been fantastic. They've also become part of the family, allied with my garbage business.
I checked in 2 hours before my rest break was over 4 hours. I've been sitting getting loaded . They put me on a scale first now im back at the dock because they put 6500 lbs too much weight on me.
I am in the Recycling, Business and I visit Many recycling places per day. Every time I go there I find myself shaking my head when I leave in disbelief at how friendly and helpful they are. Hamtramck is hands-down, “the best” recycling company In Michigan!!!
I drive a truck and deliver to many different locations, and there are a lot of them that I don’t look forward to going to! Hamtramck recycling is not one of them! Every time I go there no matter how busy they are the employees are professional and very pleasant! Particularly the man that unloads my truck full of plastic for recycling I believe his name is Dennis he is careful with my trailer and fast at his job very friendly and when I leave he always wishes me safe travels. It’s nice to go to a business and leave with a smile and not a bad attitude!
Actually on my way there this morning and I look forward to my delivery!
If you dump at Hamtramck recycling, and dispose of a mattress or box spring and are being charged additional fees on top of your tonnage, contact the state of Michigan department of weights and measures division and make a formal complaint regarding the fees. They are double charging as they can either charge you for the mattress and box spring or by the weight
They all have the right attitude from the office to the Labor Employees etc... as well...
Genuine overall good people my spirit picks up on everything.

Wow... first time I've seen a place that followed through on all aspects of previous reviews.
People were very friendly, very quick to load and there were free snacks.
I will say, this place can get a bit hectic, and the docks can be challenging, but still 5/5. Will be back!
Crew is top notch!! The ladies are sweethearts, always polite. We dump pretty much all of our tri-county loads here. In and out 10-20 times a day. Great place to go.
I am here all the time. I work for 1800GOtjunk so we have to come here to empty our trucks. The lady at the desk is really nice and friendly. One thing I really don’t like is when the loader drivers are rude and inconsiderate and usually they are pretty good here... only a couple of times that has happened here
My business has used the Hamtramck Transfer Station for several months and we have not been disappointed. Very accommodating and professional team. I look forward to many years of working with them.
If time or consistency has any place in your line of business, do not come to this location. Logistical failures on every front possible, disorder, equipment "failure" at every turn. Skip the line and go elsewhere.
