They said they would be open until 5pm when we spoke on the phone. Their voicemail even states they are open until 5pm. I drove over an hour to get there to find out they apparently closed early? Gates locked, no one answering the phone. Wow.
I called East Michigan Auto to junk a car. What an incredible experience! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Super friendly staff! This transaction was so easy, beginning with the wonderful and welcoming lady who initially took my call and processed my paperwork, to the tow truck driver who picked up my car within 24 hours. He was on time, friendly and really went above and beyond. They made this process so easy and paid me WAY MORE than other salvage yards offered! They were also much more efficient and friendly! They also paid in CASH! The other yard I called wanted me to drive there to pick up a check (for much less $).
In the future, I will certainly be going to East Michigan Auto for both my repair parts needs and to use them again for junking old cars. I can’t say enough about this incredible business and spectacular staff! Other yards cannot compare! A+ ! CALL THEM FIRST! The best! Thank you again!

I took my car here because my mechanic recommended Eddie. I saw my belt on the car was moving side to side. I took my van in & Eddie diagnosed the noise/clicking, I needed a timingbelt. I took it in early opening & it was ready by 2 pm. Thank you, East Michigan Auto.
I called, spoke to a person, told them I was on the way for a part, and when I got there they had closed down the shop an hour early. I had literally spoken to them about 10 minutes prior to my arrival
I went here multiple times to get my oil pressure switches fixed and instead of putting new parts in he cleared my codes claimed he took the intake out and replaced them and he never did…. He took my money and ripped me off I’ve given referrals to a lot of ppl to do business here to be messed over.
Looked at 4 other shops for the size tire I needed. The lady at the desk was super friendly and even though they didn't have my tire on the rack, she knew she had one and had someone go pull it from a car! I am so appreciative!!! I will definitely be returning for any other car needs I may have. They are honest people with honest prices !
My old lady at the front desk was nice as ever & she knows her parts.. I went to another shop and told them I had a blowout on the freeway, he said I needed $270 worth of work.. I took the car here and he flipped the switch in my trunk and told me about the shut off switch for the gas tank and charged me $20… Honest people work here.. Ain’t it a blessing -Tee Grizzley voice-
Quick communication and processing/shipping, and parts were clean and in the advertised excellent shape! Will definitely shop at East MI Auto Parts again.
I was referred to them for a wheel hub and when I got the part I was not told I couldn’t return it if it wasn’t the right part 10 min later I didn’t need that part and tried to return it and they told me they don’t return parts at first then they said they have a 35% restock fee so out of 60 they would only return 30 that is not right at all I promise I will never go to this place again!

They were great. They pulled the part fast and had it ready before i arrived. The lady on the phone was nice and knew her inventory. She made sure what i was looking at on their web would actually fit the vehicle we needed it for. They were easy to find with a huge sign showing where you need to turn.
We bought a transmission and when we got its destination to be put in car, it had watery whit liquid in the pan when taking off to put new one on. We called them and the swapped the transmission out for another one hopefully we can use it. We had no problems with them at all and worked it out with us awesome place to take your vehicle to or get parts for. Thank you!
I was referred here by another mechanic for wheel bearings on my 2001 PT Cruiser. Eddie is honest and offers fair pricing. The mechanic performing the work make good suggestions on other repairs. I went back to get the additional work done because of the pricing of the wheel bearing work. My car was fixed the same day for the tire rod which was in horrible condition and potentially could have been on the side of the road for the bearings which fell apart. A week later I returned when I heard a noise and Eddie checked it out for safety and told me that everything was ok. I'm very pleased with the service I received here. They want what is best for the customer.
Eddie is a rare gem and his sister working the front desk is amazing they are honest hard working people and I will always bring my car here to be fixed!
There like family love them they will give you a price you don't have to get the work done there but if you don't you will be Very unhappy so get it done there so Eddie don't have to clean of somebody else's Mess!

One of the best garages I've been to, their junk yard parts are as good as you can get used! Definitely recommend to anyone in the Ann Arbor/Ypsi area.
My car ran like a piece of crap and i needed a valve cover they chatged me 45 for the cover and 75 for labor they are really good my car runs like new again. Oh! They were pretty fast too
Although it cost me a little more than I believe to be fair, I got almost new Michelin tires and a set of rims mounted. I also was allowed to go into the yard and get some other parts I needed. I will be going back for more stuff. Their mechanic was even thorough enough to alert me concerning some much needed brake work.
