I grew up in this Area. Back then, it wasn't really a "protected" place. A lot of people had parties out there. A lot of vandalism and sadly, desecration occured. I was not involved, but remembered how sad I felt for those that rested there. After all the tragedy they had already suffered. Mind you, I would visit intoxicated at times, a friend lived in the woods down those trails. But we never disrespected anything. I appreciated the history. Ghost hunting was also a great past time. Friday the 13th 2003, we, as many others did, headed out there. On the way, the windows fogged, and little hand prints were all over them... That will forever be one of my best experiences. And to who restored it, thank you. I have always hoped someone would. You have done a wonderful thing.

Very peaceful during the day. Very sad when you read the history. Too bad there are idiots that have to vandalize the graves

Very difficult to access. Google’s route from the south crosses private, gated land. North approach works, but impossible without a truck, or serious ground clearance SUV. This place is very large by old cemetery standards. Very few graves visible. Many offerings left at the visible headstones.

So peaceful. People really should respect the cemetery more. It was really beautiful and fun to find. It was not creepy and very quiet. If I go back I will bring change or stones to add to the others.

The drive was adventurous for sure. I am a skeptic of ghosts/spirits. We were the only ones in the cemetery and we didn’t hear anything besides silence. It was sad to know the background of the town of Pere Cheney, but definitely not a haunted place!

The drive to the cemetery is beautiful. The cemetery itself is peaceful, but very somber.

Beautiful amazing place. Story of the town is sad. People bring stones etc to place on graves and also circular grave markers hidden in the ground. 50 families died. 90 people total.

Very cool place, lots of headstones have been vandalized and/or missing. The people that care of it are doing a great job. People need to stop trying to store things up at this place and let them rest in peace. I am glad it is not more accessible. Please remember leave only footprints and take everything else with you.

We went there on Halloween night a few years back. My friend and I started looking around. It was dark. We took pictures pictures. In a lot of mine, there was orbs and ehat looked like flames. Rumor has it that there were burial pits where the dead were burned to stop the spread of cholera. I got bad vibes and got back in the truck. We went back a few years later during the daylight. It was extremely sad to see the vandalism there. We tried to put some of the headstones on the grpund back together. We left coins on most of the graves.

Not as difficult to get to as I thought it would be. There are some narrow dirt roads but otherwise not to bad. The cemetary itself is peaceful, sad, and a bit eerie. I heard a few strange noises but nothing to convince me It's haunted. The remaining gravestones have coins, stones, and stuffed animals on them. It's definitely worth a visit.

This cemetery is very unique; it can get very quiet in there. If you want to get here, be prepared for some rough driving conditions. I recommend an SUV, Jeep, or any ORV or ATV. There is only one lamp that lights up, and it's at the enterance. The back corners can get pretty creepy at night. We did some EVP recording and got nothing, but was an interesting experience nevertheless.

Terrifying af. Heard voices, laughing, screaming. Saw ghosts, possessed deer, and lights in the woods. 11/10 would recommend. Also, hand prints on my car.

The only crying & screaming I heard was from my buddies as they went running toward the car because a wind had picked up & on it they heard a voice say ( get out) ! So i ran with them & drove them out of there .

Went here a couple of months ago, hard to find!!! It wasn't creepy, no noises, crying or laughing. We didn't get "stuck" on the railroad tracks. It appears to be a teenager hang out lots of candles on headstones. Seems to have a lot of disrespecting going on!
