Bought a wheel on eBay from this company and there was an issue with delivery, I called them and Kurt Or Kirk heard me out and the wheel was on my porch THAT EVENING! In a time when customer service is almost extinct this company really came through .

Can't say I'd recommend. Their process is bait and switch as they don't disclose the policy for rejected rim they purchase. It's listed on the website in the FAQ section but not in the offer they tender, even after requesting that you send photos of the rims to confirm condition. They pay nothing in scrap for the rim they choose to keep. You can of course pay the return shipping for it, which you'd incur at a loss and they know that.
Received a wheel damaged that was not packaged properly. They didn't have a replacement so I requested a return. Tried to charge me $300 shipping on the other three wheels. Ended up refunding the whole thing but this was not a good experience.
I recently had a set of stock 2023 Acura wheels PVD Chrome plated. The look of the wheed is as good or better than I imagined they would be. I'm only leaving a four star review because I haven't gone through a winter yet here in Ohio and am waiting to see how the coating holds up to an Ohio winter.
Brian was great to work with. Excellent customer service. Great products. Was able to swap my factory rims out for identical blacked out rims for way less than buying new. Super happy.

I have spent nearly $2300.00 with this company for wheels purchased + shipping.
In my opinion, they took me for nearly $1100.00 more. I should have read some of the google reviews before purchase.
If asked about the beautiful wheels on my Camaro, I will simply state where I got them and that I will never spend another Cent there!! There are other great companies that do PVD Chrome wheel exchange.
In late April of 2023, I purchased a set of PVD Chrome wheels outright for my Buick as I wanted to keep the original set for winter tires(±$1300 incl. shipping) In January of this year, I noticed some black spotting under the clear coated chrome. They seemed happy to warranty but it would cost me $240 for shipping them back for repair. It also cost $50.00 ea. for the tire shop to dis-mount and another $50 to mount when repaired = $400. $640 total, all costs that were due to their defective product. I was very lucky I had the spare set of winter tires that I could run while they were being repaired. If not, I would have just had to live with it or rent a car. I can’t imagine that cost. I objected but reluctantly moved on. Note: Between the time the defect claim was approved, and I was able to remove and ship, 2 of the wheels received road damage to the inner rim lip. They said the repair would be simple and repaired the damage at no cost while they were refinishing.
March 10th 2025, I ordered 4 Chrome wheels for a 2017 Camaro to be exchanged with the existing wheels on the car. Core/Exchange cost - $400 each wheel. New wheels came 4/16/25. Beautiful, look great on the car. Extremely happy. I returned the old wheels in the same boxes the new wheels were shipped in within a couple days. Detroit wheel received 4/25/25. On April 30th I receive an email stating “Upon inspection, we found that one of the front wheels is center bent scrap and we unfortunately will not be able accept it for exchange due to it being damaged beyond repair. The other three wheels are acceptable. One of those three was found to be bent but was confirmed repairable. There will be a $50 repair fee assessed to that one. Based on these findings, you will be looking at a refund of $1,150”. Mind you, I have been driving the car every day for 2 months. So, I asked “I don't understand? They were fine when they were on the car. How would they get bent? I'm sure if they were bent on the car I would have felt them. Their response “Sometimes you will not feel a vibration on the car, but you definitely should have with how bad the one is.” and that was it. It cost me another $450.
The wheels that were on my Camaro were not bent when they were removed from the car. There would be no way for the tire shop to bend them during normal dismounting procedures. If this is the case, it may be shipping damage! You see reels consistently of heavy packages being dropped off the conveyor onto others at UPS and FedEx facilities. OR I WAS SCAMED!! Either way, it is not my responsibility!!
Bottom line, I spent nearly $3,400.00 for 1 set of PVD Chrome Wheels and to have another set PVD Chromed.
If you’re looking for PVD Chrome Wheels, I’d use a different vendor.
I bought a wheel off them last summer. Wheel had a small clear coat flake in a couple locations. I reached out, and their people made it right, immediately. They sent me a shipping receipt,
re-finished the wheel, and sent back to me free of charge.

My son hit pot a hole that resulted in a bent alloy rim that is leaking air making the wheel not usable. Since I’m from San Diego,CA, I needed to find the most qualified company to fix the rim. I found the company with Detroit Wheel and tire. The staff are professional from the sales rep to the technician. Kirk greeted me at the front to provide an estimate and I dropped off the wheel to the back of the building. Jeremiah (tech) will diagnose the issue and give an estimate of time to resolve the issue. I order a rim from this place 10/16/24, my rim came the very next day as the man had stated over the phone. The rim is the same as my make and models Jeep Cherokee 2023 black gloss rims. I would recommend anyone that needs tires or rims to order off of this website, plus they have good deals. I will be letting anyone who needs tires or wheel for their car in general know about this company and to order for their website. 10 out of 10 recommend. If your factory wheels need refinishing, Detroit Wheel & Tire can do the job for a fraction of the cost of replacing. The end product will be far better than the OEM finish in appearance and durability.

I contacted Detroit Wheels about replacing my factory 2017 Grand Sport silver wheels with a set of Machine Face Gray wheels. I felt with Bryan the sales rep and the process was seem less. recently had a great experience with DWT. I did a wheel exchange (bought theirs at a reduced cost, and sent them mine in exchange). Doing this requires a deposit. I was curious how that was going to work. Well, it worked perfect. They were very fair about the cost to repair my wheels I sent them (2 had some issues, 1 road rash). I am very happy with the transaction. This was for a 2016 535i M Sport with Staggered Wheels. Highly recommend

Highly recommend. I had a hard time finding any black rims for my Traverse until I fund DW&T. I ordered the pvd black chrome and they are perfect. They are so shiny they look like a mirror instead of black. I love them. Shipping was quick and easy. They stayed in touch during the whole process.
My tires were down to the bone, and I needed to get new ones. While I was at it, I also thought it'd be nice to get some new rims with a glossy black finish as opposed to the chrome ones I had. I had never dealt with wheels before, and spent a week looking for ones that I was comfortable with, and that brought me to Detroit Wheel & Tire! It was really close to Oakland University, so one day I popped in with some questions and an estimate and the sales person who helped me - Kirk Wimple, who I highly recommend - went above and beyond to ensure I had a smooth transaction. He worked with me in getting my wheels ready, and helped me out a lot with the exchange option since I had to pick up the rims and have them installed at my local auto place then bring back the old ones. I was incredibly stressed over the prices I had to pay for 20" black wheels for my truck in store and online at other places, but Kirk gave me a super reasonable price and I am beyond satisfied with the finished product; couldn't ask for anything better. The rest of the staff at DW&T are also very chill; I remember asking questions to Kirk and other sales people would immediately chime in with answers and their personal input - that was incredibly cool. Huge thanks to the staff here for helping me, would definitely recommend to anyone in the area who's looking for new wheels.
I purchased the wheels outright. Had to wait a few days but it was worth it. Just an outstanding product. I waxed them inside and out and could not find a flaw. Shipped in very sturdy boxes which I am using to store the wheels I removed. The wife really digs them too.
