Bill Austin and his team have always done great work on my cars. It’s always nice to know I have someone who I can trust.

Although I’am happy with the outcome. There is still a rusty metal on metal sound. It reminds me of a shock absorber. It tends to make the sound when there’s pressure on that area of the car. ?

My experience at Hal’s was great! My fiancé had taken his car here multiple times so when my brakes started making noise I decided to give them a shot too and I’ll definitely be coming back. They do a thorough inspection and send you a link that has all of the details you could possibly need about the service and the health of your car. I appreciate their help and patience too, a great shop to work with overall :)

Made an appointment and was told they couldn't even look at my car when I arrived. Now I have to wait out the weekend to get my car fixed. The closing time does not match up with the time they actually close. I would have went elsewhere had I known this. It is the companies fault that their advertised hours and appointment line up does not reflect reality. Also a waste of gas, time, and wear and tear on car coming here for no reason when their are other shops that will go the extra mile to serve customers and not turn them away.

Scott was very knowledgeable. Took 2017 Focus ST for oil change and had a great conversation about some Jeep troubles. They did a very comprehensive inspection with oil change and appreciated all the feedback. Sending better half up there to get oil change and inspection as well. Hal's just earned two new customers. I took my vehicle to Hal’s Auto Clinic on a Friday morning, and my engine repair was diagnosed and completed before the end of the business day. The staff were professional, kind, and welcoming from the moment I walked through the door. This place is truly a hidden gem. It was my first visit, but it definitely won’t be my last. I highly recommend Hal’s Auto Clinic to anyone looking for reliable, efficient, and friendly service.

I’ve gone to Hal’s many times for both basic maintenance and urgent problems. Everyone there is extremely helpful. Prices are fair and the service is great!

I had a broken taillight that I noticed while traveling. It had broken on me recently before, so I suspected that it was more than a burnt out bulb. I was right - Hal's confirmed that I needed a new taillight. But without me saying anything, they said that since I was from out of town and they wouldn't be able to replace it anytime soon, they replaced the bulb for free. They also drained the water in my taillight that had burnt out the bulb. By the way - Toyota offered to replace the bulb for $188.

Friendly, professional staff, and the local shuttle service was great. I was able to drop off my vehicle and get a ride back to get some work done instead of waiting around at the shop. Also, the detailed inspection report with pictures was nice.

I just bought a car on October 9 that is a 2025 but a used vehicle with 17,000 miles on it. The engine light came on last night and I needed to get a diagnostic run on it. They were wonderful! They got me right in, they gave me comprehensive information, they were excellent, professional, and sincere. They dealt directly with the insurance company to get it approved . Fantastic kind caring people—the staff is fantastic. You can trust them!

Just had a slow leak last couple days, I knew it was most likely a nail in tread on front tire on my Ford Edge. Called Ford at 1 PM Friday. Was told I could get an appointment for Saturday! Called 2 Belle Tires, Farmington and Novi. Was told a 2 hour or more service time if I came in. I called Hal's at 1:15, and was told 1/2 hour to do the work! So, I arrived at 1:25, checked in, and by 1:55 I was checked out and on my way home, tire repaired, and wheel balanced! Friendly and experienced staff, couldn't have been nicer or smoother!

Had another fantastic repair service experience with Hal’s last week when I needed the shocks replaced on my vehicle. They are always very communicative and friendly and get my repairs done as quickly as possible, which is much appreciated. Highly recommend Hal’s as an alternative to using a dealership for repairs.

Manager Bill provided a highly competitive quote and took excellent care of my car’s rear axle break pads and rotors , along with several other issues. His attention to detail and commitment to quality service truly stood out. I highly recommend him to anyone seeking reliable vehicle care .

After sitting in my garage for several years, undriven, my Pontiac Solstice needed some tender loving care before it could be taken out on the road again. Hal’s Auto did a great job getting it road-worthy again, and communicated frequently during the process. I’ve used Hal’s for many years, and am always pleased with the service and results.

In the last month I used Hal's Auto for front brake replacement and a tire alignment. I was very satisfied with both services and dealing with Bill (manager) and Mary (front desk). Could not ask for more from either.

The location is set back on the road but worth finding. The peeps there were very welcoming, nice to talk with, and helpful on suggestions to keep The Happy Peace Warrior driving. I used coupons for my oil change which further helped me save money. I felt an over all relaxed and comfortable experience with them. I plan on using Hal's for other repairs in the future. After taking my Jeep to the Chrysler dealership twice for an engine issue the dealership failed to diagnose the problem each time. Turned out to be a misfire that was easily diagnosed and fixed by Hal's. To add insult to injury the dealership changed my brakes during my second visit and they failed to do the job properly in a major way and I was lucky my front brakes still functioned well. Hal's fixed that as well. To top it off the dealership needed my car for over a week to fail to fix the problems TWICE and created new ones, while Hal's took 3 days to diagnose and fix the issues.

We were very pleased with the efficiency and the honesty of the staff . Initially I asked for an oil change too but Bill indicated it was not necessary because the oil was very clean. The part we needed was delivered overnight and the work was finished by early afternoon! I didn't shop around because of the stellar reputation of Hal's. Mary in the office was more than hospitable and even dropped me at my car. Overall, it was a positive experience and outcome and I would recommend Hal's in need of any auto work. I’ve been taking my car here for about five years now and have always been satisfied with their service. The staff is knowledgeable and takes time to explain everything, and the prices are fair. And the courtesy shuttle makes dropping off and picking up my car convenient. Will continue to take my car here for maintenance.

Hal’s is very detailed, thorough, and honest. Just had my front brakes done, but I’ve been taking my cars there for over 5 years. They do the job right the first time, which has not always been my experience with other shops.

Brought my son's car in with non functioning a/c. Everyone at Hal's was great and they were able to get his car looked at sooner than expected. They repaired it quickly and even inspected the vehicle to check for any other issues. We are very pleased with the sevice we received.

Been taking my cars here for years, never a bad experience. Knowledgeable people who always give honest and prudent advice when it comes to safety and cost. I recently got 4 new tires; Hal's had me in and out within 24 hours and helped me feel confident in my choice of brand.

I brought it in for a possible fuel leak. Did 22 point inspection and sent a link for all possible repairs on the vehicle. Extremely thorough and shows pictures and next steps for repairs. I really like that they’re open early. I was able to drop off my car in the morning since I worked 45 mins away and pick it up the next day. Bill was very nice, respectful, and knowledgeable.
