Stupid garbage man on July 17th 2025 actually showed me the true character of a garbage. I ran after him calling him. He saw me and he ignored me. Hope the city employs people with better character and more manners
I recently remodeled my house and I had renovation waste. I went there and dumped all the waste (3 times). The person who was working was very friendly and helpful. He directed me to the right dumpster(metal, appliance, all other household trash). Thank you.
The times have changed and everything has been spot on since new changes. Always clean and tidy and haven't had a problem since. Went there on a Monday at 530 and they where closed. If the time says 7pm. What's up with going home before that. Must be nice.
Speaking for my self and my whole street, it's Saturday morning and my whole block was skipped Friday for yard refuse pick up. Cannot call to talk to anyone because no one is picking up the phone. What's going on?
I go there maybe 4 times a year to recycle used oil. I bring around 6 gallons. They give me a hard time every time. I get" well we have to pay to empty the tanks" and "my manager said your only allowed 2 gallons" or they tell me to go to auto zone. Last time I checked, I pay taxes to use that facility. My truck takes just over 3 gallons of oil and the wife's van takes a gallon and a half. If you're going to push for recycling and make me pay for it every year. Just let me dump my oil.
Easy to discard your recyclables. Just drive through and stop at each dumpster needed (cardboard, plastic, paper, styrofoam, etc). Staff is always friendly and helpful.
Worst experience ever, call in am to ask about dumping a dump trailer full of shrubs. Was told had to place in dumpster, no problem. Pulled up with rented trailer and told couldn't dump because trailer has 2 axles. Probably should post these rules on website, or tell people when they call
This place is great! U can take yard waste as long as u have a Warren address. No contractors, u can take concrete, logs, plastic,& so many other things. If u have something that I did not list u can call & ask.
Don't believe what the guy at the gate says, he definitely is not an advocate for recycling. I brought in a 10 gallon bucket full of loose nails. He said they didn't want all that in their recycling containers because the containers have wholes and to just dump them in the trash "I dont understand, why do the container have wholes", "because they are old and the owner is to cheap to repair them". So I challenged him on what is the point of coming here was. Then he said take it to one of the newer dumpster/ containers for metal.
I wonder why he didn't just say that in the beginning. He was just to lazy to tell me where to take them or he just didn't care.
Well when I first showed up, they told me I couldn't come in with my box truck, so if you go there don't use a uhaul truck or anything like that, but, guess what? The gentleman was very nice enough to let us come in and unload, which we did of course and quickly got out of there. It wasn't quite a full load of disposable household items which we threw into large dumpsters. Everything turned out ok.

You have to empty your load yourselves so bevware that if you need help you're going to have to bring it with you.
If you want the city to pick up more than your bin and two items in garbage day they'll charge you $400.
The first week with the new large recycling bins and they completely forgot our whole street on halloween night. Way to go. Next time you think you can pick it up? We would appeeciate it.
