Was told 6-8am for my delivery. Arrived at 6:32 and the line for the scale was all the way out to the street. Apparently they decided to wash the scales right before they open and it took 1hr to make it to the front of the line to scale. Then I was sent to the staging area where I stayed for 3hrs. I only got the dock after I called to complain that trucks that came after me were heading out to docks before me. Apparently some of the staff weren’t putting in-times of some drivers so it wasn’t truly FCFS. On top of that they left my trailer a complete mess. Broken plastic pallet pieces, trash, even left some used disposable styrofoam hearing protectors.
Update 12/17/25: arrived about 930 for 8-10 appt window. Docked by 945. Loader advised they were making more product, so would take awhile to load. After that, loader advised that my load had cancelled due to lack of product. Final update: while waiting for the broker to give approval to leave, a loader told me they found different product to load. So, that worked out. Finally left with paperwork at 1430. So, 5 hours from start to finish.
Staff was friendly. Loading and communication needs ALOT of improvement. Arrived around noon. 2 hours later, still waiting for a dock.
Hit and miss in the unloading times. Schedule del at 9-10 wait for 7 minutes on phone for them to answer, sometimes you get right in other time wait for 2 hours to get to a dock. No time scheduled just when ever they want to get you in.
Super nice people must have a delivery number start 140…….. must enter from 44 street and get on the scale call this number will tell u dock number comeback with empty call again pull forward see the scale office get you paper on the printer!! Thanks
Drivers, enter off of East bound 44th st. Stay in far right lane after 44th and clay and the entrance will bring you straight to the scale. You have to scale in before they can help you. Just use either scale and give the office your pick up or delivery number and they will give you a dock location.
Like most scrap metal/paper mill yards, etc, it can be a bit confusing. If you happen to enter in where it says “Exit Only”, in my opinion, it’s okay. Just follow the arrows in the right lane around the building until you reach the scale house. (NOTE: You’ll only notice the exit only sign after you’ve already made the turn to enter onto the property)
Once you reach the scale house, whichever scale is available, pull onto it and call the number on the screen. They will tell you which dock to go to if you are picking up. Docking is a little tight depending what door you have, but very doable. Take your time and don’t rush, as there may be traffic waiting for you to finish docking. Once loaded, follow the arrows in the right lane back around to the scale house.
Exit at $79 after you pass the light about 200 yards is the entrance on the right. My experience was pleasant 5 minutes in processing at the scale and then about 30 more minutes in the unloading area which. the people in the scale and unloading office were nice
One star is the minimum for that place You better have nice sleeper ,watch a couple movies and have enough food and drinks before you get loaded or unloaded here Lot of trucks waiting
Welcome to Michigan’s refuse pile. Person at checkin assumes you’ve been there before and is impatient when asking for directions. The facility is not complicated, but encompasses a large drive around building … dedicated recycling truck drivers think they own the place.and we’re in my face about not following traffic rules ??? Actual offloading at dock is pretty efficient. Not my favorite destination.
OTR: M-F, 6a-5p. Follow appointment time. Must have Delivery #. Enter from 44th St SE. One way flow. Scale in / Scale out. Call phone # at scale to get dock assignment. Portable BR next to scale, no other BR onsite. No overnight parking onsite. There is plenty of maneuvering space. Scale out ticket is proof of Delivery.
First time to this location and it was a good 1st visit. The girls in the office were very courteous and polite and were clear with the instructions on what to do and where to go. If picking up, the number will start with 55. The loader who came out was polite too, friendly and chatty as well. This makes such a difference when you have decent people to interact with compared to a lot of places where they just can't seemingly be bothered.
The location is very easy to get to. Exit 79 off the 131 State Route, head East on 44th St SW and the entrance is just about 100yrds after the set of lights. Head to one of the scales, call the number and the office staff will give instructions. After you're loaded (unloading will be similar, I'm presuming), you just head to scale again, where you call back up, you'll wait a couple of moments for your paperwork to be printed, and you'll receive it in the scale house office. The whole area is one-way also, so makes it easier.
Avoid this place. My appointment it was for 8 am to 10 am on the scale they took my phone number wrong and it is 12:15 pm and I'm still waiting for a door to unload. I have a load, and I have to cancel because of the incompetence of the people in the scale. After one hour that they got my right phone number, I'm still waiting for the call. Checked out 13:50. Update: For your bad work, I lost a working day. With this bad market, I didn't get a load to replace the one that I had to cancel because of your late unloading procedure.
Scale house personal very polite as with the dock personal not that easy parking in door 14 this place appointment only for deliveries they do have a staging area with portopotty overall not to bad A lot of worse places
Was told by my dispatch to be here before 330 on a Friday got here at 2:25 weighed my truck.. gave them my phone number they never called me. Come to find out everybody went home. Would’ve been nice if somebody told me would’ve been nice if they called me to tell me they weren’t gonna load me but never received the phone call. . Never coming here again.
With the heavy traffic and work-load, it is understood that the scale-office coordinators have a lot to work with. However, they never fail to approach with friendly customer-service. Keep up the great work, Wyoming.
TRUCKERS BEWARE. I’m not sure if the people at this facility really don’t care about the drivers, and their time, or if they are just stupid. They do 2 hour window appointments, we arrived well inside our window. 4 hours before we even seen a dock, another 2 getting unloaded. Lady in shipping is rude and incompetent. Never again
My app was 9 am but i came here first time and i lost the time front of the building and i came back side to scale house 9.20 am and she said you are late … she didnt listen to me and now its 2 pm they didnt give me door yet they said you’ll wait … dont come here pls dont come …
I'm making this review mainly due to the people that work at this location. The scale house operator was very courteous and helpful. Loader closed my doors for me after letting me know he already strapped the load. Everything was quick and efficient. They are located right off MI131.
I was there to take out an empty trailer. The lady from scale office was rudel. No explanation, she just starts yelling, I even didn't have a chance to explain for what I came to here. There is no guard shack. If you have a chance, do not have deal with them. This facility doesn't deserve 3 star on review, they deserve only 1.
Great people ,,,unloading very fast...go to the scale ..nd call the number which is write down over the board ....got the scale tickt pull on second window of scale office ..then she give you dock number after empty again came on scale call same number and get the scale tickt and you are good to go
You take exit 79 off 131 north and go east on 44th st. Just pass the 1st light turn into driveway ..NOT THE FIRST STREET after the light, scale in and call number on scale to check in, need to have a delivery number if bringing in a load, if you don't they won't unload without one ( of course I didn't have one and took 2 hours to contact the dam broker) receiving folks were nice as well as unloading, was empty in about 30 minutes. ALSO if you are delivering on the west side of bldg, circle around and proceed on side road then re enter so you don't have to blindside into docks.
I've delivered there several times the young lady at the scales and the gentleman that unloads at dock 15 first shift are quick, professional and very friendly. Enjoy doing business with them.
It was a real pleasant experience. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Waa in and out in less the an hour. Enter the facility off of 44th street and go left (the building will be on you right) proceed to one of the 2 scales to weigh in. They will direct you from there
