Scammers! I brought aluminum here and they told me $.20 per pound. Everywhere else is $.80- $.81 per pound.

I asked why, they said “we don’t track prices, this is just what our price is”.
Very simple to navigate which is a big plus to me. The first time I used division metal recyclers I never felt in the way or lost like I had at larger yards. Needless to say I keep coming back.
Been in a few times now, not sure if they know what cast is but they told me my cast was not cast but regular steel. No issues before now, not a problem, west side knows what cast is and it's not far away. I've only been in a few times and had no issues before. Not sure if they didn't know or what but, with so many other yards around I probably won't be back. It only takes one bad experience to wreck a good thing. Lady said drums and rotors were cast but the rest of my cast wasn't cast.
First time scraping here last weekend. Hands down best place to take scrap. Easy in and out, room for truck and trailer, friendly staff and as clean as a scrap yard can be!
Every time I have gone, the staff has been great. Always friendly and helpful. They help offload bigger trailer loads with the claw when I need them to. Office staff is very personable. Easy to get in and out of the yard. Prices are always competitive. My usual go to when I scrap stuff out.
Great place to take cars, washers/dryers, anything big and metal that you don’t want anymore. Been here a few times after looking them up on google originally and the process is as easy as drive in, unload, drive out. Would recommend to anybody looking to get rid of large scrap items
Was told this place was good. Pad is offered me $260 for two cats. I go here and the rude lady behind the counter offered me $45 EACH!!! This place is a rip off THEY ARE NOT GIVING FAIR METAL PRICES!! BeWare!! Do not do business with these people. That lady needs to be FIRED. Wasted over an hour of my time and gas.
Division Metals is a great place to bring your sheet metal. 9 times out of 10 our business (RonaMetalandApplianceRecycling) will bring our sheet metal to them before anyone else. The staff is also very helpful and friendly.

There are truly no negatives to report, a totally first class experience ever single time I go there! Sure beats paying $30 to 35 to go to the landfill--that's for sure. Very friendly office administrators and love the dogs they have in the office as well. Sure am glad I wised up and now routinely sell my scrap metal at Division Metal Recyclers rather than pay to pitch it in a dumpster at the landfill!
Super easy to drop off and get paid. Heads up though you will get paid with a check there is no provisions to get cash on site like Padnos does with their cash machine system. Not a deal breaker but something to be aware of. Also they only pay for sheet metal scrap and clean aluminum, they don't pay for any other grades of ferrous metals and the don't pay for other types of non-ferrous eg brass, copper, stainless, etc.
Really nice woman working in office told me where to go and what to do. Some guy there with catalytic converters. Looked like he had ripped them off cars. Hope they don't let people sell those to them.
It was a quick in and out and I got what I felt was a great price for my scrap metal. It is nice to have a metal recycling facility on the south end of Grand Rapids!
