Was shopping locally just down the street from their business when I realized I had locked myself out of my vehicle, walked over to their business and explain my situation immediately I had a response and the gentleman came out got me unlocked would not accept any money

John and his team are very efficient. When we needed a key for our register he came down immediately and got us back up and running. We'd have spent triple the time and money getting a key sent from Square so we're extra glad to have this local service right downtown Ionia.
I had to get locks changed at my work and they were there within ten minutes, and had the locks changed within ten minutes. Absolute Incredible service!!
Excellent service!!! I called at 7: 30 am pretty upset car was running and locked..and not even at our home. John came in about 15 min and didnt even charge an emergency charge. Got two remote keys cut and programmed for my Corolla. Cost a little less than 1/2 Keyless shop price in Lansing for 1. Both work so I'm very pleased. Well worth the drive from Grand Ledge.?
Dimitri was able to help fix the ignition in my Silverado. And make 2 new keys. And program a key fob so I could use my factory remote starter. I shopped other prices and they were more than reasonable. He was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I would recommend them to my family and friends. Awesome!

I managed to lock my keys in my car at the Meijer gas station in Ionia. I called Ionia Lock and Key at 4:59pm asking for a lock Smith. One showed up at 5:10pm and the guy unlocked my car in 10 seconds. This is probably the best service customer service I have ever experienced in my life. Thank you for the quick and efficient save.
Best locksmiths in Kent county. They have helped me out three or four times very courteous attention to detail can't say enough about this place.
As long as they're there I'll be there for my lock needs they also do car remotes I've used them for that also to reprogram them fix them.
Great company. Fair and honest, you can’t go wrong with them. If you need a key for your car, these guys will get the job done. I needed a spare cut and programmed, and they were happy to help. When I started getting error codes and thinking it was the new key, they came right out and double checked it for me. This is my second time utilizing this company! I’m I highly recommend them for your lock and key needs in the Ionia and surrounding areas!
Demetri was able to come out in the middle of the night and get our business locked back up and looking better than it did before. I have used Ionia Lock and Key now three times. Each time they have been extremely professional and friendly. Their prices are reasonable for the quality of service provided. This third time the locksmith, John went above and beyond. Replacing my factory GTI key & cover, he took extra time to make sure the fitment of the original emblems and metal ring was done with care. John gave excellent attention to detail, and even apologized for what he considered a long time to accomplish. I found the service to be timely, especially due to the attention to detail. I called and had someone coming to help me almost immediately. I didn’t catch the persons name that fixed my door (oops :/ ), but he said he was new and I wouldn’t have known if he didn’t tell me, he did a great job! Exceeded my expectations and even went above and beyond to fix my deadbolt too (It hasn’t worked since I moved into my place). Definitely recommend!

This company is super professional and over the top. I unexpectedly lost my car keys and they were able to make me a new one within a few hours of calling when the chevy dealership in town said it would be a 3 week wait. He even took his own personal vehicle to me since all of the service vans were in use. Prices are fair and less than most places I called. I HIGHLY recommend this business to anyone needing any sort of care. Fair, prompt, and professional. Nothing like supporting a local small business.
Ionia Lock and Key provided excellent service when I locked my key in the car on a Saturday. John arrived to my location in 5 minutes, and opened the door faster than it took to run my debit card. He was friendly and professional, the price was fair and included a complimentary door key next time I visit their shop. I would strongly recommend them if you find yourself in a pinch.
I could not speak more highly of this company. They were the only place that called me back at 9pm when I lost my keys and needed to use my car that night. They were also willing to drive to Alma, which most companies said they didn't service my area code. John went above and beyond and I would recommend them to anyone!

I had called Ionia lock &Key on a holiday weekend, not only did he answer and respond immediately he was able to repair and program my existing key to my ignition AND make me an additional key to start my ignition and one to keep hidden on my vehicle that unlocks the doors, I was astonished with the polite and prompt service. I lost a valet key to my Lexus and needed to replace it. Before I made the replacement I got married and decided it would be better to replace the lost valet key with a computer key, so my wife could have one. I was able to get the key made with virtually no waiting and at a substantial savings over what a dealership would have charged me, so it was a no brain-er. Ionia Lock and Key was the only business able to help me with an older key in such a short time line.
They worked behind the scene while I was driving to their store, yes they actually have a store which I really liked. The navigation sent me in the wrong direction so when I called back Jon stayed on the phone with me and gave turn by turn directions with land marks to help me navigate my way. Jon also stood outside to flag me down to ensure I made it to the right place.
Jon provides explanations as to what I needed and why, found a better option for the keys I needed and was quick to get them made for me.
