The guy that works here is extremely rude and condescending. He was rude about performing a code scan for me even though it’s advertised on the outside of the building. He talks down to people and is extremely rude to every customer that comes in! While I was there he was rude to the two customers infront of me as well as myself. I’ll make the trip up the hill to o’reilys before coming back here….
I have gone to this location for many years and everyone has been friendly and knowledgeable but tonight one person stood out, and that would be Jason! Not only did he offer to help before I had to ask, but he pointed out the great sale they were having on de-icer (couldn’t pass that up!) and he put my new wipers on for me without me asking! As a busy mom, it was nice to get it all done in one stop!
The guys at Autozone were fantastic. I needed a new battery and called everywhere in Ionia to see if they could also install. After being told no several times, I stopped in on the hope they could help me. They got me the battery I needed, and took care of swapping out the old one! The staff really helped me in a tough spot. I cannot thank them enough! So sorry I cried again, but you were able to turn my entire day around!
Went there to get a diagnostic check to see what was happening with our van and the individual that helped us was very knowledgeable, figured out what was wrong just by the description we gave, ran the diagnostic and it was exactly what we were told.
Sparkpkugs and ignition coil. Very friendly and courteous staff here. Will definitely go here anytime needed for car parts.
Every time I've dealt with the store manager, I have left angry. He wouldn't allow me to do a simple return, and every time I've dealt with him he made it seem like I knew nothing and he was an expert at everything. I have several years of personal and professional experience working on vehicles, and definitely have a good idea of what I'm talking about. I'll do my best to never set foot in this store as long as he is still a manager
Went to our hometown AutoZone in Ionia, MI on Sunday 7-13-25 at approximately 4:30 pm to get our taillights checked out as both sides were burnt out. It takes several different tools to accomplish getting to the bulbs. There were two girls working, one said she thought she could do it, she wasn’t confident at all. She went outside with a flathead screwdriver and tool that looked like a pulling tool. I told her these are not going to work and that the guys who had helped me before at this store had a small toolbox they brought out with them. She tells me we’re not allowed to bring it out. So now she goes outside to find out that the tools she had were wrong. She then proceeds to go in and out several times to get the right tools mind you it’s 80 something degrees outside. She never did find the correct tools so we decided to leave and will return in the A.M when the guys will be there. This was very inconvenient for us and our time. There should always be someone there that knows how to do these small tasks. I hope this can be remedied so this doesn’t happen to us or any future customers again.
Auto zone is horrible. I was doing a brake job and told them the year make and model of the car. They gave me the right brake pads but gave me the wrong rotors. I took the rotors back and they said they didn't have them so I ended up putting the old brakes and rotors back on. It's not the only time they have given me the wrong parts. They need to get people in there that knows what they are doing instead of incompetent people. I will never be back. You lost my business. I'm so aggravated. I even took the old rotor in so they could match it and try to find the right one and they refused. Pathetic
I stopped in, they were more than willing to see why my check engine light was on. Even though they didn't have the part I needed, they told me where I could get it. They even changed my windshield wippers for me cause I didn't know how on this newer vehicle. Great job guys, and thank you!
Decent parts store, Easy access from the main road. Can usually get the part(s) needed at a somewhat reasonable price. Hours are good and open weekends.
Deff not the best place to find parts but it works in a pinch. Seems like everything I need they never have and can't even special order. I go to oreilys it takes them 30 seconds and they found the part or found a place to special order them. Shop at oreilys it's better imo. Also, don't ever seem to wanna answer phones. If I did that at my job I'd be let go just saying.
I called down with some questions and needed to order a replacement part and Mark an employee there was incredibly helpful! Customer service is everything and in saying that Auto Zone has everything! I will not go anywhere else!

I had to replace my battery and didn't have my tools on me and they hooked me up with a loaner toolbox for free to swap it out real quick and grab that core money rite back. It's awesome when places are cool and actually make sure their customers get their automobiles fixed 💯
Had a great experience here today. Came in and was needing help with a car I just bought used. Elena was very helpful and showed me what oil I'd need for the year car I had. Came out put the lil diagnostic tool and let me know about a minor gas cap issue. Bpguyb and fixed then and there. I'll def be back in soon. Thanks for the help!

Great customer service! Joseph was extremely helpful when I needed a battery for my truck. Was a real professional had us in and out quickly with a new battery and he put the new one in for us.

I brought a battery in to get charged oer there advertised free charging in an hour. I gave them 4 hours first time. They tested it and said it was only at 12.25 vdc despite having 4 hours to do a charge from 11.8 vdc. I explained that i was camping and needed it fully charged for power. So i left it another hour and when i came back they told me it was fully charged at 13.0 vdc now. When i tested it the battery was only charged to 12.25 volts still. Out of 5 hours i waited i probably got a 15 minute charge and needed to recharge it again the next day. This wasted most of my day waiting and than i don't know why they lied to me and said it was fully charged knowing i needed it for power while camping.
Love this place! Every time I go in I get excellent customer service. I don't know much about cars but the staff here always helps me get what I need and I've never had them steer me wrong. My car battery died in their parking lot last time I was there and one of the employees even jumped it for by hooking it up to his car (they didn't have a car battery charger at their location). Wonderful service every time!
The service was great. I or my husband couldnt put the new light bulb in and the gentlemen and lady said no problem we will install it for you. They are very curtious and cost minimal for bulb. Thank you AutoZone fir your product and installation.
I always go to AutoZone for all of my car needs. I recently learned that they're not simply just salesmen, they're also very knowledgeable when it comes to vehicles unlike their competition who could hardly point me in the right direction when asked about a car part. Also I really love their prices, I changed my brake pads for a little over $50.00 I can't say much more than these are great people who know their stuff.
They need more staff, or at least someone just for running the cash register. I have gone in there 3 times the past few days and each time I have had to wait to check out for 20 minutes minimum. I am going to be doing business at Napa or O'Reilly from now on and so will my family.
