Was a customer of their competition for over 20 years (Autozone) after too many problems switched to Advanced. Staff seems more knowledgeable. Fewer mistakes. Polite and respectful.

Very good help as a check engine light came on and coil was needed.

Cool staff. The dude who helped me was super cool. He looked up what I needed and went and got off the shelves for me. Then he made sure I got the best deal. I'm in customer service, and the service was excellent. Great job

I come here for most of my vehicle needs. The staff is typically very knowledgeable and helpful and know what you’re talking about almost all of the time. They also have very flexible hours which is extremely convenient when working on your vehicle.

Great workers, very friendly. Get all the things i need on time and great prices on everything.

They were helpful to a certain limit. Unsure that they gave us the best type of advice. The price felt a little on the higher end, but we may be skewed. We got a battery, it was rather urgent and last minute. We arrived in the middle of a Sunday afternoon. It was the only option in 50/70 miles of our original location. I tried to call ahead to confirmed they had the needed replacement. No dice. So we took a risk and drove on a gamble. (We did let the car run in the parking lot until they confirmed they had the battery. However they sold us the wrong type, we only realized when coming closer, they did had something compatible but of course at a premium price. What ever it was that or nothing!). We did not discuss, we paid, it seems that it was supposed to come with a free installation. The guy who was so busy when we came (he was taking his lunch), confirmed he could help with the installation ... He brought me a cart with all the tools and the battery. Maybe I should have insisted or something. He returned to his lunch while I did the swap in the parking lot under the heat. I don't mind, I know how to change a battery, I probably did it faster anyway. It is just a very puzzling way to do business. Honestly it gave us a good laugh and added to our vacation up north another adventure. However, this is that overall sort of gray area about everything that pushes that review to a 4 stars rather than a 5.

James M was working alone on the afternoon of 02/19/2023. I walked in as a woman on a mission. After taking a look for myself, hearing phone ringing and other customers running in and out of the store, James asked if he could help me. I needed stainless license plate screws ( as the ones in place were causing rust to run down the tailgate). He jumped right in and went out with tools to replace them for me. Very nice gentleman scanned my truck for an error code when my check engine light came on. It made me at ease that there was no real issue going on and sure enough, it reset itself later on that day.

We had an Odyssey start missing on a family road trip. Stopped in read the code and got the parts and tools to fix it and get us back on the road. The 2 guys working morning of June 20th were super helpful. Thanks again guys!

I needed a new headlight bulb and after purchasing one from here, still couldn’t get my headlight to work. Without me even asking, an employee named Justin offered to come into the parking lot to see what was going on. He figured out that I had a loose connection and fixed my light! On top of that, they let me return the bulb I bought even though I’d opened the package and everything. Just such helpful and friendly staff!

So I Bought some new wipers and this amazing lady Kashmeer was so knowledgeable about vehicles and tools. Just completely all around girl knows her stuff. Definitely going back there for more parts.

I had to buy a new battery for my 2002 Jaguar X-Type and I got a DieHard Gold, nothing but the best for my baby!! I gave four stars because of the lack of service I got but they have reasonable prices!!

Horrible place to do business!! Special ordered close to $400 worth of parts that were prepaid for and went to go pick them up and they were going to put them back on the truck, which they supposedly couldn't change, and charge a restocking fee and then have to order them again!! Being told all this while the parts are sitting right there!! They said they only hold parts for 48 hours. We got the call 6/3 from Mikaela and my husband was there on 6/4 to pick the parts up. They said they were behind in phone calls and the 48 hours goes from the time of check in, not the time of phone call. They also lost the order for the other parts discussed on the day of the special order! I have receipts for all of this!! Have done business with them for years! NOT ANY MORE!!! POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND POOR ATTITUDE!!! I should have known this was eventually going to happen as the last several times the parts they gave us were wrong or missing parts. Went back because I understand people make mistakes but this was the last straw!!

I called the store needing a new battery, Travis was a fantastic help over the phone. I went into the store and was immediately helped by Brad, who tested my battery, and then replaced it with a new one. He even replaced the stripped terminal, all while seeming completely happy to help! He was seriously a life-saver today, and I can’t say enough good things about him, his service and how appreciative I am!

What an awesome experience today at Advanced Auto in Petoskey! Dan was the very best. We arrived without brake lights and thought it was a fuse, Dan was able to quickly explain why it wasn’t a fuse....but 2 burned out light bulbs. He took the time to replace them and got us back on the road. Excellent, excellent experience. Thank you so much.

I am traveling by boat and this store was 2 miles away. I needed 2 12 volt batteries and 10 gallons of oil. They had what I needed and delivered it to me. Then they came back and picked up my recycling oil. Great service and knowledgable staff

Place was clean and organized, the employees were very knowledgeable and very helpful, had everything I needed for my jeep rearend plus gave me a decent discount . I will come here again for my auto needs and they were very respectful. High five to this auto parts store.

Very friendly staff greated as soon as I walked in the door and asked if I needed help looking for anything, lighting is decent and the floors/shelf's in the facility were very clean inside. Outside was also very clean didn't see any trash in the parking lot or around the building.

Daniel and Joe saved my life! These guys are the greatest, totally helped me out in a bind. This is the shop you'll want to go to. And if the owner or boss is reading this, Joe and Daniel deserve a big raise!

Rolled in needing a new battery and windshield wipers. The guys were super friendly and worked hard in the blowing snow. Good prices and service.

It's a nice store, but hard to compete when things never seem to be in stock. Had to go to the zone because they always have stock. But advanced has awesome pricing, decent employees, and will warranty stuff for you unlike a lot of others. Advance and autozone will be the only two parts stores competing in a few more years.

Great folks! They couldn't fix the issues, but they helped me diagnose what it was, and sent me to a trusted mechanic, since I am not from the area. Great Customer service! I recommend them fully!

I had a wonderful experience here, he was able to change my break light right then and there. Very friendly staff and the one that worked with me was Dallas, a very nice gentleman.

Great auto store! Clerks here are great, very helpful answering questions, checking my battery, etc. Prices are a little high but i continue to shop here bc of all the help the employees offer without hesitation.

Great place with good prices. Sometimes some of the workers are rude but Shawn is the best there. He is the most helpful. Joe also has a great attitude. The place has never have failed me so far and they are good about there warrenty returns
