Hastings is a great small town because of honest down to earth businesses like Legacy Auto Repair and fine folks like Missy and Joe. I was in a challenging situation with my auto and was leaving town the first thing the next day. I was feeling pretty desperate! Joe and his team jumped right on my car’s issue. They did a tremendous job and I couldn’t be any happier. May I encourage you to seek the same great feeling I felt after using Legacy Auto Repair.
Another tow company couldn’t get my vehicle out of my garage without damaging the car and garage. And legacy came and got it out smooth and without no issue. Made it easy and stress-free

Great Service, I slid off the road due to ice and needed a tow. I can only imagine how busy this service must be especially in the winter months. So I was expecting someone tired and grumpy. Brandon was just terrific, made great time and serviced with a smile the entire time. Very patient and helpful after being shook up; his calm demeanor made the situation a lot better.
Fantastic mechanics. Went into a ditch and i got towed out under an hour. their towing cost was a bit high compared to other places, but they were much quicker (the other places quoted an hour to an hour and a half).
I was quoted for about 650$~ of work, not including parts. way better than most other places. they were very speedy as well. not including shipping time for the parts, they only took about 1-2 days for all the repairs.
after all the repairs were done, I paid actually slightly less than the quote. there was also an issue with one of the headlights i was shipped, so if that didnt happen, id be willing to bet i would have paid 450-500. overall a great service, i'll try and crash my car near here in the future as well ;)
I truly felt like the team took the time to understand my issue and help solve for the best solution for me. I was treated like a friend and would HIGHLY recommend their services!!
When caught off guard by a sudden breakdown of our car everybody at Legacy Automotive has been so nice and so helpful I would 100% recommend anybody use them
I slid off a driveway into a ditch and AAA sent me some guys from Legacy. My car was in a bad spot and I worried about how difficult it would be to get it out. The guys from the company and took care of my car with very little trouble. They were very courteous and put me at ease. I the future if I need help in this area, I'll call them.
My toddler and I were stuck in a ditch. They quoted me 30 to 45 minutes to tow us out. I called them at about the 50 minute mark and she said that he would be there soon. Finally Over an hour and a half later, she called to tell me that no one would be coming at all. I understand things happen, but this is absolutely ridiculous. And they were hardly apologetic.
Update: The owner called to apologize to me personally. I do appreciate that. But the second tow truck came promptly and was $100 cheaper so I would recommend calling around still!
I can not recommend them enough. I currently have 4 vehicle being serviced there and 5 friends and family using them. We are all happy. Affordable honest and timely. The fact the owner is a good Christian with a great family is yet another plus for us. 6 stars
These guys do excellent service and do not try to upcharge you on anything, they tell you what needs to be fixed and what will need to be done in the future.

Fast, friendly, professional service. Each employee treated us with kindness and patience. We only have 1 vehicle, they got us in for same day service. They made us feel like they genuinely cared about our situation. We appreciate them so much!
My insurance company contacted them on my behalf. I couldn’t be more pleased. It was very early and I needed to be pulled from the ditch. Josh was the one who was sent to help. His communication skills are excellent, he kept me updated with time of arrival. When it came time to pull my car out he talked me through it. Thanks for the rescue Josh and Legacy!!
I purchased 4 tires from a black friday sale and asked if they could put my tires on for me. I spoke with Joe and when he found I worked close, he offered to come pick up my truck so it would be easier for me. About 2 1/2 hrs later, my truck was done and dropped back off to me at work. He didn't even charge me to pick up and drop off my truck. It was so convenient and the cost to have my tires mounted and balanced was cheaper than any other place. I've had work done here before which is why I called them. I have found they are honest and are not just out to take your money. They genuinely want to help. They really are good people and I highly recommend them.
5 star from a mechanic, this is a review of towing and staff. My wife’s 2018 Honda CRV needed a tow to the house. The tow driver was very courteous and knowledgeable. My wife drove back to the house with him and she said he was a very nice well spoken young man :-). Like I stated I’m a mechanic so I did some work on the vehicle and needed to get it to the dealership for warranty work and hopefully turbo covered. I called Legacy and the receptionist could not have been nicer. Seeing how it was my second tow, Joe gave me a break on the tow to the dealership. I have never had a mechanic work on my vehicles. After talking to Joe, I wanted him to work on my vehicle. He could’ve made some good money, but he told me to take it to the dealership and see what they have to say. He could’ve towed it right back to his shop and made a buck off me, but he didn’t. Very honest owner which I will be calling back if the dealership will not help. So I read reviews because I’ve never needed a mechanic. I don’t know if it was the same receptionist, but she was so helpful and kind. I can’t believe some of the stuff I’m reading. Joe was so honest and knowledgeable he will be my mechanic in the future. Getting old and don’t want to do it anymore :-) I recommend them and like I said, I will be using them in the future. Thanks Legacy! I am hoping Joe if you are reading this will work on my side-by-side lol. Good people.
I called here since I moved into town and wanted to find a local automotive place. Also, I needed to my side by side fixed. I called and advised the women where it was and the tire wasn't stable for it to drive up the hill in my backyard. I was advised this was $85.00. I specifically asked how much this would cost since it's in my backyard down a hill. She says $85 dollars. I asked for them to come pick up. The driver showed and asked if I notified them of where this was located. I advised to him yes. He told me that happens all the time with them. We had to put the tire back on one lug nut. Mind you my husband and I helped and I drove it up the hill. He said they will call you once I get it back to the place. I waited and waited and waited no call. I called and was advised once the mechanic looks at it he will call you. I waited 3 days and finally called and asked. I was advised they have to wait for the parts and it will be about a week. I was advised by Joe with towing it would be between $300-$350 to fix. Unfortunately I stated as long as it's not over $500. I asked for an oil change since they are waiting on the parts and I said it can't be over $40-$50 bucks. I wasn't called again so I called again about a week later. The mechanic Joe told me it was complete. I called back and asked how much the total was and a rude woman with a major autitude said $494.14. I asked how it went from $300-$350 to $500. The girl was getting more rude and asked if I spoke to the mechanic. I explained my conversation with her and she told me to pay cash or check and a fee for credit cards. I called back wondering how an oil change can be $200 for a side by side. I spoke to Joe the owner. Joe explained they charged me more for towing since it had labor involved $106. I find it very convenient that I mentioned to keep under $500 after speaking to him and now my bill is just below $500. I asked if they could drop the side by side off to my home to make it right. Joe said no he would have to charge me. I told him I will never come back here and I will never recommend this automotive facility. Joe didn't seem to care. Joe calls me back taking off charges that he well knew was ridiculous from $300-$350 with towing to $494 once an oil change was added. It just doesn't make sense. Joe tried to tell me that was without towing. That's not what he stated the first call, he said $300-$350 with towing. Joe was stuttering because he knew I was questioning his motive. I told Joe I already wrote the check. What is the difference If they took money off or dropped the side by side off at my home since it's 7 minutes from my home? I understand we are in a inflated economy but purposely ripping people off is not acceptable. Joe kept going through the charges and deleting charges knowingly they overcharged. Joe apologized for his daughter and said she must have been having a bad day. Well according to Yelp reviews says she is always acting this way towards customers. Whatever you do don't go here unless you want to be ripped off. My brother is a mechanic and he never has ever done this to me. I DON’T RECOMMEND UNLESS YOU LIKE HIS DAUGHTER TO DISRESPECT YOU AND BE OVERCHARGED. His daughter needs to get a job outside of here so she can learn that entitlements don't happen in the real world.
Great place to call if needing a tow. Had to have my Tahoe towed back in the middle of the night to my house. Called them and had to have State Farm Roadside Assistance pay them for a tow. Brandon the driver showed up way earlier than the eta issued by State Farm. Was a great guy to talk to and knew his job well. Was hooked up and on my way home which he gave me a ride also back in less than 10-15 minutes. Overall 10 out of 10 service. Would recommend 100% precent of the time when needing a tow. Thanks guys alot.

Got stuck in some loose sand during road construction. Rear axles deep in sand, driver showed up right on time, extremley prompt,professional and knowledgeable. I went through 3 straps trying to get it out. Hooked it up to rear wheels and got her out first try! Will recommend for any service in the area!
Our car blew the transmission on the side of the high way. Our driver Orin, arrived 1/2 hr earlier than insurance estimated. He also has the car hooked up and loaded by the time my son and I clicked our seat belts on in the tow truck.
He was extremely professional and provided a safe comfortable ride. When we arrived at the drop off location (my house) He even offered to lower it back into the garage so I could work on it the following day.
The service was beyond excellent and I hope to always get a driver like Orin he needs a raise!!
I've got all four of my tires for my vehicle from Priority Collision and I have got to front end alignment for my fiance and her sister they did a wonderful job and Joe their head mechanic is awesome and knows what he's doing I recommend you to take your car there keep the good work up guys I'm giving you a thumbs up?
