EDIT: Things have been cleared up and we worked together to agree upon a solution. This was a new process of theirs, and was still a little confusing. Thanks for helping sort things out.
Called for prices to drop off 2 sofas and was told $35 each - peroid. Upon dropping them off, the price was increased by over 150% due to weight, which was NEVER discussed on the call. Next time, disclose ALL pricing to inquiries. Even just weight alone, not factoring in what I was dropping off, would have been acceptable.
Highly disappointed with this service. Might be alright for selling items, but that's not what I needed.
Nice place to do business. Staff friendly and helpful. Prices were on higher end. They allow you to both sell and purchase scrap. Customer awards program. Hands down this is the best scrap yard around. I drive to this yard from Fennville when D&D recyclers is a 1/2 mile from my home (D&D's scales are off, staff are very abrasive and refuse to offer assistance, and the prices are well below the average). Do yourself the favor of driving the extra few miles and do business with a scrap recycler that appreciates your patronage and shows it in attitude and wallet. BA RECYCLERS IS THE BEST YARD AROUND.

Was not impressed with the place. Was unloading the steel by hand and got hit by flying metal from the fellow the was working in the yard. Will not go back there again.
Broken Arrow Recycling offers a range of services. I recently moved to the area and have an abundant amount of cardboard the experience was super simple. I do highly recommend breaking down your boxes beforehand, I had an entire large SUV filled with broken down cardboard. They have 5 or 6 large containers that I was able to put all my cardboard inside of in a matter of minutes.
Certain recycling centers would charge for even cardboard. Only comment is dont go there with a freshly washed car as the parking lot is gravel and dirt. All of which is expected! Easy-in/out experience!
It was my first time there. Everyone was very helpful and polite. Just pull on scale press talk button, and the friendly lady will help you. I just had miscellaneous scrap. Price paid seemed fair!
Went to this location for the first time. No real clear instructions on where to go exactly. Asked an employee and they provided no help after I declared why I was there. Was trying to use my recycling card as provided by the township and no one knew what I was talking about. Very frustrating and I ended up leaving. I can now see why so many just dump things in the woods if this is what you have to deal with.
Only giving them one star because zero stars is not an option. We took a load in, Nobody wanted to help, then even though I brought copper, stainless, brass and a catalytic converter All they wanted to give me was the price of scrap iron. Will never take my business there again
I read reviews saying they pay the best. I sorted all my metal and they gave me $2.35 for #1 copper. A friend took his share of the copper to a different yard, didn’t separate it and received $2.70 a pound. I obviously got even less for my lower grade. After doing the math I lost over $100 by going here. They are friendly and got me weighed quick but if your looking to make money they definitely do not pay competitively.
Everyone I interacted with was friendly, unlike nearly every other scrap yard I have been to. They pay as good or better than every other yard. I regret not going here sooner. I will continue using them moving forward as long as they keep their prices on the higher side like today. I can't write a review without pointing out one negative aspect. For being my first time there it was quite confusing to get to the scale and from the scale to the dump location even with all the signs. It just didn't make sense to me to go around the building twice just to get weighed and unloaded. I'm sure they have their reasons. It won't be an issue when I return. It is nice to see happy faces at a place like this.
Highly recommend! I ordered a dumpster earlier in the week to get ready for an appraisal, which got moved up way closer than anticipated. Called Broken Arrow to see if they could squeeze me in to get it picked up earlier than expected so the dumpster wasn't seen by the appraiser. They fit me in the schedule, and treated me great throughout the whole process. I will be returning here in the future! Thank you for going above and beyond Cody!
Fairly straightforward and no hassle, once you know what to do. When you call to ask if they'll take your item, be sure to ask for general instructions - wait at sign, weigh in, or go to the office. There is a good sign saying "wait here" as long as someone is around.
Love this place. Super clean and organized. The employees are helpful and very willing to teach you about metals and how to get the most value out of your scrap. Highly recommend this place.
So here's the run down. If you want a better price for your "sheet iron" or "tin" take it to KMR in Kalamazoo. Take your coppers, brass and aluminum to Padnos in holland. I worked for Broken Arrow and that's what we did. Made lot of money off of people cause they didnt know it's worth it to just go to padnos becuase there prices are ALWAYS BETTER.
Everyone who works here is friendly, polite, and helpful. The manager Eddie is very easy to work with. Quickly received a check for more than $1000 for the scrap brass laying around my shop collecting dust, with little to no hassle. I would highly recommend going here.
