My new favorite location! This location is about 50 minutes from home for, but I have had a much more consistently good experience compared to the CarMax thats less than 5 miles from me. We worked with Ted and Shelly this week, and both were absolutely fantastic from start to finish. They were also not pushy about MaxCare (our car had 15K miles so it doesnt make sense). At the Westborough location, the very aggressive gentleman I worked with actually called a coworker over so they could both try to browbeat me into buying MaxCare, which again I didnt need (1 year old car and EV high voltage battery is not even covered!). None of those problems in Norwood. Ted and Shelly got me settled with the test drive, there was a minor issue with thr charging since it was a PHEV (wanted to make sure it ran on both battery and ICE), but they sorted it quickly, and we picked it up 2 days later. So very happy to work with this location!

It was our first time dealing with carmax. Let me tell you in my 5 decades I've been to different dealers, small and large. By far the best experience. Justin Nguyen went above and beyond to walk us through the process on a Saturday. The Manager also was amazing made.is feel welcomed. Showed us everything and worked with us until we got the car we wanted. If I could.give them more stars I would and I would definitely be buying my next car from carmax norwood!!!

The way car buying should be! I saw Jahir Polo in Norwood, MA for a car I purchased this past August. I had been browsing online for a few weeks and found the best option from CarMax (sent from another state for a reasonable price). I chose CarMax because I heard a good review as CarMax for a company from someone else. I found a car I was looking for which was 1) an older model 2) less mileage 3) a price I could afford 4) given a decent price to trade in for my then current car. I still love my new car now!! It's hybrid/electric and had definitely been taken care of previously. I feel I did not get as much for the car I traded in however it was old and had a lot of miles on it. It was nice I arrived for the test drive, spoke with Jahir about this process, and easily found myself a great deal. I hope to have this car as long as I can and will return as a customer if I can!

I have had good experiences purchasing from CarMax before, but I just tried to sell our car to exchange for another and the mechanics are clearly dishonest and low ball you. They made up an issue with the engine and said it could only go straight to auction. There was no engine light on and we had just had the car serviced. They offered $1000 which is basically just junking it. We then took it to Carvana (who found no engine issue) and offered us $3500. Needless to say my trust in CarMax has been broken and I will likely not purchase another car from them.

Easy - Compare online and then compare to dealership offers. Easy to know what you will get from them so easy to make the decision. Once you are ready to buy, they make the process as easy as it can be.

An efficient and pleasant experience from start to finish. We even made a last minute change to the registration (switching ownership from myself to my wife) the morning we were suppossed to pick up the car. CarMax worked with our insurance company and we were able to pick it up with no delay.

My partner and I recently bought our first car from here, and we couldn't have enjoyed a smoother process! Both Will and Ted helped us immensely, and we felt reassured and comfortable with the purchasing process through CarMax, especially after trying to work with smaller auto dealers. I was looking for a new car since mine was old and no longer able to pass inspection. I found the Jeep compass online at Carmax. I just sounded great. I had a friend drive me there and that was the first time I met Renee, She was wonderful. She explained everything and handled everything that I thought was going to take me a few days, but when I left, I was driving myself home in my newJeep Compass.

When you are in the market for a car this should be your first stop. The selection is vast; covering a wide variety of companies, styles, and price points. It is also a great place to see cars that you mey nevr think to try, and if you did it would take you days of coing from dealership to dealership.

I found the sales folks to be great. Very likeable, great customer service. The car I looked at had a clear vehicle report, but I found rust on the hood, the rear quarter panel was repainted which I noticed due to orange peel, and there was some fender damage. The exterior was polished but the detail crew didn’t clean off the compound residue. I also found many of the cars on the lot had odors and there was a general lack of care for detailing. The markup didn’t justify the quality, ended up going down the road and had a better experience with another dealer.

This is my first experience with Carmax and it was very impressive. The last car I bought was from a different company and while the car was good the process was very difficult. It took me hours to fill out the forms online, do the insurance papers online and then I had to bring a certified check. With Carmax everything was easy and smooth and professional and impressive. I was allowed to pay with a debit card Which was convenient. The office was first class compared to the last place the office was in a rundown garage. My sales person was first class, professional, and efficient.. I will buy my next car from Carmax. I wish I would’ve invested in the stock a while back

I recently sold my car at CarMax, and the process couldn’t have been easier. From the moment I walked in, the staff was professional, friendly, and upfront about everything. The appraisal was quick and fair, with no pressure or hidden surprises.

I traded my car in online via carmax, and got a MUCH better offer than the dealership whom I bought my new car from the previous week. They outright refused to match the car max offer. After I completed the online portion I was able to come in and finalize the transaction at the Norwood location. Everyone who I spoke with was excellent. It was an extremely professional, fast and fluid transaction. So glad I picked carmax, thanks again.

The actual process for getting an appraisal for my vehicle was quick and took almost no time (thank you Justin for that). However, going to actually sell my car with the businesses office was an absolute mess. I went over with all my documents and was told that I needed to take a seat and wait because they didn’t have someone who could help me at that moment. Over an hour later, and with no updates from them, I went to check in on my wait only to be told I had never been checked in and they weren’t even aware I was waiting. There was no apology or effort to move quicker to rectify this mishandling, and instead was met with an attitude and disbelief in what I was saying. During this time I watched several employees just sitting, eating a snack and talking or not paying attention at all to the growing size of the waiting area. The employee couldn’t find my account and it took even longer than necessary to complete this process, two hours later. I couldn’t be more pleased to not work with CarMax anymore if this is how my local store treats customers.

Got a car from here (Norwood location), and I love it! The buying process was long but Tyler was very nice and sincere about the whole thing. A big thank you to him for great customer service and being a genuine person to talk to about all this. HOWEVER, I picked it up Thursday evening 8/7/25 and already dealing with my first issue. On Friday I discovered a bolt in the rear right tire, no big deal I would get it patched or replace it. Do I know if it came from CarMax or I picked it up on the way home, no. Come to find out that ALL four tires have terrible tread anyways and I was going to swap it out with the spare but the spare is LEAKING (bubbles in photo below) actively on the side wall. Safety seems like it doesn’t come first with CarMax and I am actively waiting for a solution. It is currently my third day of owning this car so will wait and see what the end result is… UPDATE: After dropping my car off on a Saturday I was told by the GM it would be looked at on Monday (which is fair it’s the weekend, not a problem). I said if they can replace the tires please put on the Michelin tires again. That was relayed to me not a problem. Upon getting the loaner it had an overpowering smell of marajuana / tobacco in it, the response was yeah we tried to odor bomb it. I take it for the week it took and did not make a fuss about it. Towards the end of the first week I was told putting on all new tires were approved to be put on including the spare which was great news initially! I ended up exchanging the loaner for another one because the smell was so bad. The next loaner had no windshield washer fluid left in it. Again I just took it because they had to apparently make an appointment for when the tires came in to put them on even though they had my car? So once was all said and done I go to pick it up. They put on cheap generic tires you can get for $80 at Walmart. And they took an old tire and put it on the spare. I was livid as I wasted my time and would have just taken it somewhere myself to get it done and get it done right. Once trying to explain the problem I was just met with excuses after excuses. If you like the go around, dishonest people, and a place that lacks the ability to maintain and track customer communications this is for you! Other than that, AVOID AT ALL COST! I am hoping if I go to another facility for warranty work it would be better, but Norwood is a big no!

This was my first time using CarMax to sell a vehicle. I submitted details on my car and an offer was sent to me. I scheduled an appointment and brought my car in. The entire process was very quick and easy and the staff were very knowledgeable and accommodating. All in all a great experience using CarMax.

Love coming here. No hassle. Everyone is super friendly. Just walk around enjoy. Try cars you might never try at a dealership. The luxury cars need assistance to open. There are people walking around to assist you. There are bathrooms and vending machines. If you want to get rid of your car they buy it too… so easy. Handicap accessible everywhere on the lot and the website is easy to navigate. They do a trunk or treat in the Fall around Halloween. There is a kids play area inside too. Make and appointment or dont make one. Stress free car shopping.

Highly recommend. We got a great offer for our car at CarMax. As a responsible seller would, we shopped it around at a bunch of places. All the other spots we went to tried to hustle us down in price. CarMax, which was the highest offer, paid us exactly what they offered with no hassle. I’m kinda shocked how simple and professional the process was. If they keep offering these great prices I think all other used car shops are going to go extinct.

My mom and I had a great experience at CarMax! This was our second time getting the car appraised, and Wilfredo made the final visit smooth and stress-free. He was kind, patient, and very helpful throughout the process. We ended up selling the car and are really happy with how everything went. A big thank you also to the woman in the business office we worked with named Erica—she was incredibly sweet with my mom and took the time to walk her through every step of the paperwork. Both Erica and Wilfredo made what could have been a stressful day feel easy and comfortable. Highly recommend!

Gobsmacked! I was utterly gobsmacked by my experience with CarMax! By far, the easiest, most fair, honest and transparent transaction of my entire adult life! Submitted all my car data online and was provided with a very fair offer for the purchase of my vehicle. Drove to my appointment at the nearest CarMax location a few days later. They verified the condition of my car - all good. They handed me a check for agreed upon amount and arranged for a Lyft to deliver me home at their cost. Entire transaction took no more than 30 minutes! And no hassle or haggling. Amazing!!! I’d like to add that my representative Paula was really outstanding. She was totally professional but also very personable. Definitely a great employee! Cannot give her enough stars for her service!!! I’ve relayed similar reviews to friends and family for the next time they are looking to buy or sell a car! CarMax is the bomb! ❤️

I recently sold my car at CarMax in Norwood, MA, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. From appraisal to walking out with a check, the entire process took about an hour — no pressure, no back-and-forth games. The team was friendly, prompt, and professional from start to finish. Easily my best experience with a dealership, hands down. Only suggestion: the kids’ area could use some love. It felt a bit abandoned and didn’t have much to keep little ones busy. But other than that, everything went super smoothly. Highly recommend this location if you’re looking to sell your car without the usual stress.
