Ihad a great experience with Certified Automotive. Over the weekend we had an emergency issue with our car and had it towed there by AAA. First thing Monday morning, I received a text outlining the issues along with a clear priority list of what needed attention, which I really appreciated. I called and spoke with Jack and let him know that he could take his time since we had a backup car. To my surprise, Jack called me back before the end of the day to let me know the car was already finished and ready for pickup. This was my first time using Certified Automotive and I am highly impressed with the communication, transparency, and quick turnaround. Jack was professional and very helpful throughout the process. I would absolutely recommend Certified Automotive and will definitely return in the future.

My car hit a snowbank during the blizzard and the door had trouble opening. Certified took us in the next day after the storm, and Jaime was able to quickly fix the door for us at no charge. Most auto places would only quote a full replacement charge for this type of damage; it is rare to find an auto shop willing to take the extra step to save us money. This was a HUGE relief during the aftermath of the 2026 blizzard and I will always pick Certified for my car repairs. Highly, highly, highly recommended!

I had issues starting my car which turned out to be a battery issue. I brought it in mid-afternoon and Brandon was able to get the battery replaced by end of day. Great service as usual!

Certified Automotive Solutions is the only place my car is serviced. Jaime and Steve are great! They are knowledgeable, efficient and always very helpful…in short they do good work! I only trust them with my BMW. I continue to have my BMW serviced at Certified Automotive Solutions….the team is amazing, especially Jake! Their service is unparalleled.

Every time i take my mercedes to the dealorship( it is no longer under warranty) they give some inflated estimate..i go to Certified Solutions bring them the diagnosis Flagship Motors gave me and they fix the car for about 35% less..huge difference in my pocket. Certified Auto Solutions are honest, reliable and dont to to upsell you on things that dont need imediate attention. For example Flagship said i needed a certain thing done right away or my car would not run properly..Certified assured me it was not "pressing" and now 4 months later the car runs fine..Dealorships are bandits...run..do not walk to Certified Solutions if your off warranty..also the guy at the front desk who looks kind of like Jimmy Kimmel is so helpful and warm..makes it seem effortless

They’re the best and I won’t be going anywhere else in the future. I ended up getting some routine maintenance done on my car. The next morning, it wouldn’t start. I called Brandon (who was super helpful throughout the entire process) and he sent two mechanics to my house to try and jump the car for me (above and beyond!!) I ended up having a mouse nest under my hood which must have been hitting something. They cleared the mouse nest out for me and triple checked the entire car to make sure nothing else was going on. I’m extremely thankful for them and their quality of service. They even followed up a couple of weeks after to make sure everything was still running smoothly. If something’s going on with your car, it’s a no brainer to go to them.

I recently took my 2005 BMW to Certified to have them sort out a mysterious dash code. After many hours and a new sensor swap in/out, the fault was cleared. Despite all the time spent chasing down this gremlin, they didn't charge me for the labor. Their efforts and generosity won't be soon forgotten. They came highly recommended to me and I'll be glad to do the same. Great shop, even better people.

These guys are the best. Between this shop and the one on Tremont st, there's nowhere else I'd rather bring my vehicles. They've earned my trust and business over the years and really know what they are doing.

Exceptional service all around! The moment I walked in I felt welcome here. The team working the front end are very kind and professional. There was no nonsense when it came down to what needed to get done, and I appreciated the text updates from the team, not a robot. They broke down the pricing with honest, fair pricing, and considering how great of job they did, it was worth every penny. I can tell that my car was handled with care, with it being a customized project I’ve been working on for years. The mechanics treated my car with respect and put in the time and effort to handle the necessary repairs. I will be coming back here for any sort of work in the near future. Thank you so much!!

Thorough, fast, great communication and they even document your car and issues with photos and videos so you know what they find and what they propose to do about it. They confirmed with me before doing additional work. Hoping not to need them for a while but they'll be my first call when something comes up!

I was having so much trouble with my 2018 Toyota Carolla. The first auto shop I brought it to basically told me they can’t fix and I felt so defeated. I was recommended to this place and when I saw the reviews were so good I decided to give this place a try. The customer service was great, everyone was so kind. I told them the reason why I was bringing the car in was because my check engine light was on and when I put gas in my car the battery would die. This happened only when I would put gas in the car. Long story short they called me after I dropped my car off with a list of problems. There were things that the car needed internally and I asked if with all that stuff they do will the car be fixed. The guy assured me that it would be. I went and picked my car up later that day and not even a minute down the road my check engine light came back on after putting nearly $2,000 of work into the car. I called right away and turned around and brought my car back. Almost a whole day goes by and I hear nothing on my car so I call to check in and they were waiting for Toyota technical support to help them figure out what the problem is. Later that evening they called me to pick the car up. They admitted fault for not fixing the problem. They were rectifying the situation so they didn’t charge me for the work they did this time. A few weeks go by my car is fine and then one day my check engine light randomly comes on and then I get gas and my car won’t start. I’m so mentally drained at this point. I know this is Melrose and a lot of people are well off however I’m a 28 years old first generation college student I’m barely getting by. I called them to tell them it’s happening again and they guy didn’t sound to happy to hear from me. I made an appointment to bring my car back YET again. However, my intuition told me to take my car to the Toyota dealership to get looked at because I truly felt like at this point these people had no idea what they were doing and at this point I don’t trust them. I just got my car looked at Toyota, and they found the issue right away. I brought them both receipt receipts from this place of all the work I just got done on the car (Most was unnecessary, because it was never what was actually wrong with the car) Toyota showed me a detailed video and the part Certified Automotive Solutions put in my car was so used Toyota thought at first the part never got replaced. Then in the video, they get a closer look they did see the part did get replaced but it wasn’t put in properly. It was so devastating to me. I feel like Certified Automotive Solutions played on my ignorance and vulnerability. They knew how bad I needed my car fixed and I was open and trusting. They made really feel like I was making the right decision with trusting them with my car because they were very personable and being a small business and so kind and respectful I put my trust in them. Now thinking back and looking at the receipts, you can see how Certified Automotive Solutions really just used me to make a quick buck in the beginning. It states clearly on my receipts what I brought the car in for, and the receipt shows everything they did with my car other than fixed the problem I brought it in for. It wasn’t until the second time I brought the car back they actually pin pointed the true problem with the car. However, they didn’t charge me because they knew they were wrong but with in that they just threw it together and didn’t care. I know this is long, but I hope it helps someone when making the decision to go here. I paid more money at the dealership but I now know my car was done right and is officially fixed. I’m strongly considering taking legal action, I really think that is the only way this sad situation will rectified.

I am new to the Melrose area and needed work done to my Cruz. I google auto shop and Certified Auto came up. I brought up then and got a good feeling from the start. They explained everything clearly to me on what needed to be fixed. Very happy with how they fixed my car when I thought it was a goner. Thanks

I have been bringing both of my cars to Certified for the last few years since our mechanic closed his shop. They have done everything from brakes to tires and even fixing a bumper. All work has been done timely and with great quality.

I brought my older car in for a broken blower and to retrofit it with a backup camera. They did a good job on both but I was most impressed with the quality of the backup camera and the head unit they installed up front. They installed it in place of the original radio and it looks like it came with the car! Kudos to the mechanics there for their excellent work. I also appreciated the quick turnaround time as well as the robust communication throughout the whole process. I would not hesitate to go back there for future work.

$129 for a comprehensive pre-purchase checkup. The report was detailed with pictures and the mechanic came to talk to me about the vehicle. If you need to wait there are lots of stores, restaurants and atms around. These people are wonderful and I highly recommend them.

They wanted to charge me $800-$900 to replace my starter. Refused to use my part which I purchased from Autozone and was still under warranty, so there's $300 of the cost right there. I can understand wanting to use their own parts so they can warranty the work, but businesses order their parts from the same stores you and I would; Autozone, Advanced Auto, O'Reilly's, etc. Starter aside, that means they wanted to charge $500-$600 for labor to replace the starter that I did myself in under 1 hour. Clearly they are not interested in repeat business. Avoid unless you want to be overcharged.

I brought my 1970 Chevy impala to certified automotive for a engine rebuild. I decided to add a fuel injection sniper efi unit to the motor. And add a new fuse block and wire the car. Jamie and the guys at certified automotive did a fantastic job. The work came out very clean and nice. Jamie kept me posted as everything was in process. The engine went to his trusted machine shop. And came back looking brand new! Him and his crew assembled the motor, added the fuel injection kit, new fuel pump. Fuel Lines and wiring to the whole car. And tuned the motor. Everything came out clean and neat. The car purrs like a kitten! About a month later I came a cross a slight oil leak from a bad gasket. Jamie took the car back right away and took care of the issue. And stood by his work! Over all I would absolutely recommend certified automotive for any old car. Or your new car! Thank you to the guys at certified for getting my impala running great!

My Jeep was having an usual problem with the trunk/lift gate. The team at Certified Auto was persistent until they identified the issue and made the necessary repairs. They were quick, accommodating to my schedule, had great communication and prices were fair. They also did some brake and rotor work at a much better price than the dealership. My days of dealership maintenance are behind me!

I recently had my car serviced at Certified Automotive Solutions, 17 Upham Street, Melrose and I couldn't be happier with the service. I have a 2006 Subaru Tribeca and got a high estimate from my dealership to replace two rear hubs and ABS sensors. I searched for a mechanic in my area who worked on Subarus and the reviews for Certified Automotive Solutions were positive so I called them. Brandon was knowledgeable and wonderful to work with and scheduled my Subaru for a free estimate. The owner and ASE Master Technician, Jaime Dovale took the time out of his busy schedule (and they are very busy which is a good sign) to put my car up on a lift and walk me through the repairs that were needed. I really appreciated him taking the time because they usually provide detailed photos with explanation of repairs needed. Jaime explained in detail the issues and also prioritized what repairs should be done first and others that could wait given my budget. My dealership never took the time to show me what needed to be fixed/replaced and why. It turns out that my car only needed one rear hub and sensor replaced, but the front lower ball joints were bad, the master window switch was failing and the radiator and hose had a leak. During the repairs, a few other issues came up but I was not surprised given the year and mileage of my Subaru and in actuality, should have been taken care of by my dealership at 80,000 miles. The team was friendly and professional. They kept me updated throughout the process. Given all the work that was done on my Subaru, I found the pricing reasonable. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of reliable and honest car repairs.

Professional, fair prices, great service. I went in with an issue on a holiday weekend and they had my car fixed just a few days later ahead of schedule. Very honest about what they thought the issue was, set expectations on timeline and then kept me in the loop while they investigated and repaired it. I will be returning for any new issues my car has! They also showed me the broken parts of my car when I asked and explained how they went together because I showed interest, that wasn't required but was very cool.

I have brought my car in for service two times at Certified Automotive Solutions and I was extremely happy with the service. The communication and timeliness were stellar. The diagnostic evaluation was thorough and the pricing was fair. Photos were taken for each part of the evaluation and emailed to me within hours of dropping off my car. It included information of repairs that were a priority and which ones were not. Jaime is a very knowledgeable mechanic and is able to explain everything in a helpful and clear way.

They did some routine maintenance on my car. The shop is very clean and the employees are friendly and helpful. Most importantly, they did a fantastic job on my car. I’m definitely going back here. They are so much more reasonably priced!

I highly recommend this auto service shop to everyone. I brought my car in for a oil change and brake job this morning, one and half hour later after I drop off my car, Steve at the front desk send me a message said the car is done and can be pickup anytime and the brake is fine. The noise is causing by the backing plate on the break were rubbing on the rotor, they adjusted it and did not charge me anything. I been to many garages and I find staffs in this place are professional and honest. Highly recommended.

The front office and manager were very friendly. Mike Cody serviced our Ford Explorer for 4 new tires and was kind enough to share his professional opinion on the condition of the brakes, shocks and overall safety of our vehicle. Fantastic service from beginning to end. I highly recommend Certified Automotive Solutions for all of your vehicle repair needs.

All the way to Jamie ensuring my newly acquired S550 was going to be oil fresh and fully inspected for my upcoming road trip. Have been using them, and will continue for ALL my vehicles needs. True and Honest shop!

My boyfriend and I recently moved to the area and were looking for a local mechanic. I could not recommend this shop enough. The people who worked on our cars were extremely helpful, transparent, and welcoming. What is fantastic about this shop is that they send you a full report of any work that your car may need, which includes images to show exactly what they are referring to. I will definitely be coming back for any future work on my car.

Certified Auto Solutions is the one to beat. They are friendly and welcoming, and took care of my concerns and then some. I went in for mild maintenance, and ended up needing major repairs. They sent me a detailed report with photos which I really appreciated. Communication was EXCELLENT and timely. When I couldn't afford the paint job on my rust repair, I chose the ugly option. When I came to pick up my car, the body guy had gone ahead and done the painting anyway. This personal touch really makes a difference. 10/10 would recommend this place! My '06 Corolla is driving like new, and looks the part too!
