Horrendous customer service and communication. I wish I had known before doing business with them that they will not ship parts on time or stand behind anything they sell. I found out after the fact that my part was “on back order” and required extra to time to ship. After receiving a faulty component, it took me 4 emails and 2 phone calls before I talked to someone. Only to get denied a warranty for incorrect part number even tho the part number came direct for OEM. Laughable honestly, take your business elsewhere.

I was very disappointed in my dealings with Jacks. Purchased a Husqvarna blower on 12/1, and the product was supposed to ship in 12 days. Then it was delayed until 1/15. Now, it is delayed until late February. They don't call and they do not explain why. No apology either. Kinda weird. Not sure how they are staying in business. I just wanted to make a purchase.

I needed a reverse PTO switch and key for my simplicity regent. I received my parts in 2.5 days from Maryland to Ohio (WOW!) The parts were not overpriced and I will order from Jack's again in the future!

They don't honor their return policy. They claim to have a 365 day return policy. I purchased a controller from them and it was faulty. When I tried to return it, they indicated that because it was faulty, the manufacturers 30 day policy applied, not their 365 day policy. So, you could sit on a product for 11 months and return it to them, but if it turns out to be broken, you better know within 30 days. The policy encourages people sending back broken parts without telling them its broken. With this policy, don't be surprised if you received a restocked part that is broken.

The people there are very knowledgeable and friendly. I recommend them whenever you need help with any garden tools.

the website promised a starter for the forklift the next day. After ordering they sent me a text saying it was running late. I tried to cancel on the website but there was no place to do that. Left a message with customer service but got no return call. Part showed up 7 weeks later.

Took 4 months to get this 30 cent part. Jack's small engine was useless during this process, sending out generic auto emails every 2 or 3 weeks saying (out of stock items usually takes 10 days please check back for more info). Reaching out directly, they were usless also. I reached out to the manufacturer for the machine I needed the part to and they referred me back to Jacks small engine as the only supplier. DO ANYTHING YOU CAN TO NOT ORDER FROM HERE.

Will never waste my time or money here again. Their website screwed up and gave me the wrong part number for my snowblower. Jacks refused to take responsibility for their mistake, forcing me to eat the cost. Go somewhere else.

Starter did not work. I took it and had it tested and it was defective. When I called to report the issue and request a refund and return they stated they didn’t know if I would receive one. I can’t believe a company would send a defective part and not refund it.

My one star review for Jack’s Small Engines Jack’s Small Engines presents itself as a long‑standing, reputable company built on customer service, community values, and integrity. Their motto, “After the Sale, It’s the Service That Counts,” suggests a commitment to standing behind the products they sell. Unfortunately, our experience showed a very different reality. A product sold through their Amazon storefront was advertised as a “COMPLETE KIT INCLUDED,” yet arrived missing essential components that made installation impossible. A licensed HVAC technician confirmed the unit could not be installed as delivered. This is a clear case of a product being not as described. Despite this, the company did not provide a prepaid return label or arrange freight pickup for the oversized unit. The item weighed hundreds of pounds — far too heavy for a customer to be expected to move, load, or ship without proper support. There is no reason a consumer should ever be responsible for returning something of that size when the seller’s own listing was misleading. Instead of taking responsibility, the seller refused to assist, refused to provide a return label, and refused to arrange freight pickup. The burden was placed entirely on the customer, even though the issue stemmed from the seller’s inaccurate product description. This experience reflects a serious breakdown in the company’s stated values. A business that claims to prioritize service and customer care should not leave customers to handle oversized returns alone, especially when the product was incomplete from the start. Integrity means standing behind your listings, honoring your commitments, and ensuring customers are not harmed by your mistakes. After a situation like this, a company should face real accountability. When a seller misrepresents a product, refuses to correct the issue, and leaves the customer to deal with the consequences, there should be consequences — not excuses. The Better Business Bureau will absolutely be hearing about this, because consumers deserve protection from practices like these. Based on this experience, Jack’s Small Engines did not uphold the principles they promote, and their post‑sale support fell far below the standard they claim to represent.

Ordered a mini split that didn't come with the freon so my tech couldn't charge the lines. When I ordered this item it didn't mention anything about it not coming with that or I wouldn't have made the purchase. Now the company won't cover the shipping fee to take it back requiring me to take a loan out to send it back. The whole situation with the company and Amazon has been very unfortunate causing me to stay clear from both companies from now on, I can't believe Amazon lets companies like this sell in their platform and not take any responsibility for it. This has ruined our Christmas this year and I refuse to recommend this place. I am so upset at the money and overall time that has been stolen from my family. We will recover eventually but the damage has been done. My kids sit here with very little Christmas because of this place and Amazon. Happy holidays you greedy selfish companies.

I bought a hedge trimmer here over a year ago for my business, and it has been nothing but problems from the start. Within less than 30 minutes of use, it was obvious the carburetor was defective. When I brought it back, they tried to blame it on “bad fuel.” Wrong. I was using Husqvarna mix. They took it in anyway. Then they charged me $50 just to “look at it,” even though they went ahead and did the repair — which is unheard of. Every other legitimate shop waves that fee if they actually do the repair. Not here. These people nickel-and-dime you for everything. After that, they charged me even more for “labor” to adjust the carburetor. It still didn’t work. I eventually gave up and took it to another authorized dealer. That’s when I found out the truth: this was a factory defect that should have been replaced free of charge under Husqvarna’s warranty. Jack’s Small Engines never mentioned this — instead, they happily charged me for a repair that should have cost nothing. This place is a scam, plain and simple. They’re rude, unprofessional, overpriced, and will lie to your face without hesitation. The only halfway decent experience I had there was when I went back to ask for copies of my receipts — and ironically, they were actually happy to give me those, probably just glad to get rid of me. I rarely leave reviews, but wow — I cannot stress enough how terrible this place is. Go anywhere else.

Had an issue with item, they were extremely fast to respond and resolve the shipping damage. Will definitely buy more parts from jacks.

My experiences with Jacks has been nothing but good. Were a mobile repair company and use them to source a lot of parts at times. I mostly deal with the local store staff and they are all great. They are able to get you almost anything next day if they have it in stock at the warehouse. Prices on parts are inline for quality parts and Stens aftermarket.

Ordered tines for my rototiller, in June, in touch with them twice. They said they were on order. Finally in Aug I called and canceled, told them to refund my card. No credit back on my card which they said they did. Have to make an appeal with my credit card!

Jack's admittedly failed to acknowledge that they had no part in their inventory, but also that they were not aware whether the part would ever arrive from their sole supplier. Instead of being proactive and contacting their supplier (Dewalt), they assumed they could sit on my order indefinitely without any contact with me regarding the extended timeline. I received an email promising 2-10 days shipping, but was still waiting 30 days later for any action. Several disappointing calls later, when several of Jack's employees were unprofessional, and some would hang up the phone rather than address a customer service issue, I received a call from the operations manager (Herb). After telling Herb about my experience with his business, he acknowledged that this was precisely how they conduct themselves. He was at a loss for words and had no idea how he could remedy the situation. I gave him several options, yet he stated that he would continue operating his business with the same poor professionalism and lack of customer service that had been working for him to this point. Herb then hangs up the phone because accountability is not something in his area of expertise.

Jacks usually is a good place to get parts but over the last few years the service is not what it use be. I don't live close and always try to call first to make sure they have what I need before the trip but they rarely answer the phone. I try different times through the day and just rings and rings. It's kind of on purpose as I have gone there and witnessed them ignoring the phone ringing. If part not needed right away, I just order from Amazon or ebay. Most of the time cheaper anyway. Management doesn't seem to care.

I ordered a 37 ton log splitter from this site solely because it was listed as “in stock - ships in 2-7 days” Over a month later I still have not received the splitter. I online chatted to inquire and was told it was shipping from the manufacturer. I balked saying that it was listed as “in-stock” when I ordered. Jacks could not give me a shipping date and also refused to issue an immediate refund. This site smells like fraud to me. I’ve had to resort to a credit card and consumer protection complaint.

I have a Kohler XT 650 I needed an auto choke for it. I called Jack’s because I bought parts before and had good results but this time when I ordered the choke, the rep said I needed a choke and also a rod which I thought was strange because the old one looked like it was all one piece so when I got it, it did not look like it at all and I called back to talk to somebody about it and they basically said here’s a number for a Kohler rep in your area and basically washed their hands of it so I didn’t think that was a good experience I got a choke in my cabinet. That is no good to me. Wound up buying one on eBay, which was exact fit using the same model number just saying.

I ordered a 330lk trimmer this past week. It showed up missing parts, rust on the engine and it rattles when above idle. I have used trimmers my whole life and it’s not a typical rattle you would have from a small two stroke. It’s quite disturbing they can resell used equipment as new on Amazon. It is obviously a hastily refurbished product. Looking forward to talking to a representative this week after the Memorial Day weekend to see if they support this or will make this right.

Got my part to me. Of course it was a superceded part #, so they called to see if I still wanted it ($75 more) and I said yes. Took 3 weeks to arrive (AACooper transport). It was a mower deck. Driver was cool, gave him a tip cuz he took the pallet with him. All deck parts transferred perfectly. Spent $650, which is better than $2600 for a new mower just because a cheap OEM deck rotted out. I would order from Jack's again, just be aware of lead times for stuff, especially if it's a freight delivery.

I have a Toro lawnmower that has a Briggs and Stratton engine that I need a part for. Ok - so to get a part for this engine I needed a model number. It was not easy to find and was not included with the manuals I received when I bought the mower. After trying several other methods of locating the model number I contacted Jacks and spoke with Rebecca Holzer who was an incredibly helpful and wonderful person. With her help I was able to find the model number that is stamped on the block well out of sight. It was left of the starter. The part is in stock and I ordered it today. Very happy to have this done! Briggs and Stratton was less than helpful.

I was looking to replace the hardware on my snowblower that holds the chute deflector to the discharge chute. Jacks Small Engine had a diagram, which was very helpful. I ordered the parts that it appeared I needed, they were shipped out quickly, and I received them in a few days (actually earlier than the estimated time). I installed the parts and my snowblower is back in business. For me this transaction was perfect. But, if I had looked at the Google reviews before purchase I probably would have looked elsewhere. It's unfortunate that so many have had poor experiences with them. My experience was very good.

I have ordered parts and whole engines from Jacks in the past but this time it was different. I ordered a chain saw part and I got a part that will not install on this chain saw. Easy call right - just return it! That’s how it used to be, now, not so much. First I used their email link, included pictures of their invoice and pictures of the old part and the one they sent me. I did that twice over two weeks and still have never received a response. Then I called and spoke to a man who seemed as if I was bothering him. He said he had no idea what “..they were doing with e-mail, calling is a better idea!” He then asked for a part number and we agreed I would call back when I had that number. I only had the part number not the number for the chainsaw itself. Today I called again and I got a woman who from the get go seemed irritated I had called. I ignored that and gave her the information from the shipping document they sent me. She said none of those numbers were correct and then told me I verbally gave her the wrong numbers. Could be true so I ignored the attitude again. Then she asked for a part number and I read it off the sticker on the chain saw. She told me that is not a part number so she could not help me. I gave her the part number from the part and she told me that was wrong and that part numbers were not put on the parts themselves. She could not find the parts schematic unless I got the engine part number. Then she said I could ship it back, pay for the shipping, and when I got a part number she could use I could reorder. I agreed, and I will ship it back, I just will not order from them again. At one point I told her there seemed to be an attitude at Jacks that had not been there before. She elected to argue with me and say it was not attitude, it was the delay in the phone. I have trained a lot of phone and sales people and I speak to service people on the phone every day - Jack’s phone people, men and women, must be very unhappy because they display a definite attitude and it’s not the phone.

Fantastic service, made an overseas order, all of the parts I ordered came, albeit delayed though I was notified of this delay (on order from the manufacturer) but everything was sent, all genuine parts the only thing I got wrong was paint colour ? though that's my fault, if your buying newer Toro parts the paint is most likely called "Toro new red" anyway I seen the bad reviews and were quite cautious but I have nothing to complain about! Will probably use them again ?

After trying to acquire a Honda 928ATD 28" track drive two-stage snowblower from local distributors by ordering early in the summer I was recently informed they could not fulfill the order until 2023 or later. I came across Jack's and saw that they were the only place that had the snowblower in stock, as they received a shipment ordered quite some time ago after double checking it was in stock on the phone. I was a bit hesitant after reading all of the negative reviews of damaged shipments, but decided to proceed. I ordered on Friday 9/30/22 and it arrived at my house exactly one week later. The snowblower was factory packed and arrived in perfect condition as the photos show. The Old Dominion freight delivery driver brought it into my garage. Can't wait to put it to use.

I ordered an a SIMPSON 60688 Aluminum 4200 PSI from JacksSmallEngine parts. The first unit arrived at a FedEx facility and they would not deliver it to me because they said the box was severely damaged and full of oil. Fedex shipped it back and I had to call jacks several times to get another one shipped. I received it yesterday (my wife said it looked like a gorilla packed it) and this time I took a video of the box and unboxing. The fuel tank, and the air filter housing was completely smashed in. I did not bother to unpack it further. Given all the other comments I have read, it appears Jacks has no idea how to ship products so unless you are going directly to a store I wouldn't buy it from there. I'm very disappointed and wasted weeks of my time just following up. I wanted to give a small business a shot, but I ended up ordering it from Lowes.

I bought a new Zero Turn Mower for over $3000.00 and when I received the mower it was damaged I believe it was dropped before getting it here either by Jacks Small Engines or TFORCE Freight Service. I paid for lift gait services and for it to be delivered to my house. I received neither. I had to go to town to pickup the mower up. Which is 22 miles to get to town. Because I live in a ghost town. Instead of replacing the mower with a new one they want me to take it to get it fixed. If I wanted a used mower. I would have bought a used mower. If you have to get it fixed upon receiving something it’s not new.. Also if you pay over $3000.00. A person should get their new mower. So I will not take it to get it fixed. The mowers control panel has been hammered on. The deck is crooked, The right transmission is locked up, So the right tire will not move. It has scratches all over it,The right arm takes two hands to shift gears. Which you have to have both hands on each arm to stop. and the seal on the arm is warped. I will not use their company again.

We bought a generator from Jack's and had it shipped across the country. The pallet came damaged and the box was severely damaged. The generator is scratched and banged up too. The spark plug cap is completely broken in half. I have called four times and sent three emails. The only response over a two week period is an email "looks like just the box is damaged which happens often in transit without any damage to the unit itself?" I have responded that it's damaged beyond that and we didn't sign for it on delivery. It was left for us by the shipping company. I am beyond disappointed with how I have been left as a customer on this. Someone calling me back or talking to me would have gone so far with this. The hypocrisy is when you call in the message says, "We believe after the sale it's the service that counts." Here I am just left hanging.....
