Had an issue with my tires. When I received my vehicle back my front end would shake at highway speed, and it wasn’t doing it before. I spoke with my technician Kaylin, and I scheduled a return. Once returned he kept me informed, when I arrived, he test drove the vehicle. Then we test drove together and I was very happy to see that all matters were fully resolved. I appreciate this young man, because I myself felt appreciated and valued as a customer. Thank you for great service brother.

I am heavily disappointed in my service with J.J's. I scheduled an oil change for my car at 10am. I called at 12:02 to check on my car because no one called nor text me. When I spoke with someone they mentioned that my car was in the bay and was in process. I called back at 1:04 for an update because it has been 3 hours for an oil change and the person I spoke with said my car was "very next " to be worked on. First off what is "very next " and why at 12:02 I was told my car was being worked on. Its common practice for you'll to lie to customers. The man mentioned there were mix ups with people cars because there were several people with the same car as me and another person with my same last name! How does that make any sense. So J.J's does not have a system to keep track of people cars and and names. SMH . I was told my car would be ready at 1:35pm & at 1:45pm, my 10am oil change has still not been completed.
After I finally got my car back, the ran outside because they realized they didnt put my engine cap back on. SMH
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL. PLEASE STAY AWAY.Feb 16, 2026 -
JJ’s Auto was a great experience. Went in for an inspection for my new car and everyone I encountered was so nice and pleasant. The service was amazing. I will definitely be back.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Khylin was the main person who serviced my car, and I can’t say enough good things about the experience at JJ’s. I originally came in for a simple tune-up, but thanks to Khylin and his team’s thorough inspection, they found and explained some major leaks I didn’t even know I had.
After the work was done, my car feels completely different—in the best way. It drives smoother, runs better, and I’m even getting more miles per gallon now. You can truly feel the difference when a shop takes the time to do things right.
Now all I’m missing is a car wash and my car will be all set! Thank you, JJ’s, for taking care of my family and my car. We’ll definitely be back.
PS: I also got a-lot of bonus discounts from becoming a new customer. Saved big! Thank you again.Feb 08, 2026 -
I used this shop before last year to replace an engine in my Kia Optima. A few days ago I took my work van to the shop to inspect a few check engine lights, replace my valve cover gasket and to fix my traction control. During the inspection they pointed out my oil leak from a bad valve cover gasket and they gave me a price to replace. I told them I was more worried about the few check engine codes and wanted a quote to fix that problem. If the quote for repairs was under my budget then I would add the valve cover gasket replacement.
After the inspection I was told my engine problems were internal and I need an engine replacement. I told them I wanted repairs for the check engine codes which showed problems with the oil pressure and mis alignment. I know I didn't need a engine replacement and been driving my work van for a few years with this problem. I told them replace my valve cover gasket, fix the mis alignment, change the oil and fix my traction control. The mechanic or inspector told the person I spoke to they can't make the repairs, because the engine need to be replaced and they didn't want to be responsible if my vehicle was to break down in the future.
I believe they didn't want to make repairs to my vehicle, because I didn't agree on having my engine replaced. I told them can you fix the traction control? They said no, because the problem is coming from my vehicle having low oil pressure which cause the vehicle to go into limp mode (don't go past a certain speed to cause damage to the engine). The traction control don't have anything to do with the oil pressure causing the vehicle to go into limp mode. This was a lie, because I wouldn't agree on having my engine replaced.
I replaced the valve cover gasket and valve cover myself and believe the oil pressure problem came from a bad pcv valve. Now my vehicle is driving way better. This is business and I believe they want higher paying repair jobs and just blew me to the side. I will not use their service again.Feb 06, 2026 -
This is a valid response to service I received at this location.

Thank you for your understanding.Jan 30, 2026 -
I’m not from the Maryland area but was stranded with car troubles due to the snow storm. The team was super helpful and gave excellent customer service. When they do an inspection on your car, they even give videos for comprehension and provide a carfax if you’ve never gotten one. I’ll definitely be coming back!

As someone stated high pressure sales tactics to earn your business and then rip you completely off. After running up the tab because they couldn’t find the initial problem that I already told them from start. They proceeded to do a more thorough look at problem to tell me what was understood prior. After finding out the problem the solution was to find me a part/engine and labor that was for sure excessive and a salesman who I was clearly transparent with about my current situation and recommended their possible financial plans. Didn’t say or mention doesn’t matter if credit is good or bad it’s a cap to what’s possibly lended. So thinking it would be more of an interest on the monthly payment so I can pay the high tab. But instead I got them trying to rush me to pay a tab that’s excessive all at once when people can’t afford to live. Stay clear of this company and brand run fast. Trust they won’t be in business long as they do not help or work with the community in time of need. They barely deserve a star. But they are good salesman to earn your business and take advantage so it’s fair .

DO NOT GO HERE!! This is by far the WORST place I’ve ever gone to for an oil change. AAA in Brandywine is now permanently closed, so I was looking for a new place to get my car serviced. This was my first time seeing this establishment and I decided to give it a shot. I literally scheduled an oil change at 11am today. They told me the price would be $89, that’s fine. I brought my car there on time, they put my car up not too long after and told me that there was some oil they saw under the car and asked me if I had any oil spillage on the ground at my house. I told them no. They said they wanted to run a full diagnostic of my car, and that would be $199. I reluctantly said yes, because I know that this industry is in it for the money, but maybe this would be an honest organization. They give me a complimentary Lyft home because they said it would take “some time”. Hours pass, I haven’t called, I was patient. They finally call me at 2:49pm and say that I need work done, totaling $2100. I told them I only want my oil changed. They then said they could put me on a payment plan, I reiterate that I only want my oil change. They said they’d knock it out right then. I KNOW HOW LONG OIL CHANGES TAKE. I called them TWICE and both times they made an excuse for why my car hasn’t been finished yet. At this point my car has been at the shop for almost 6 hours, I pull up to the shop, I don’t see my car anywhere, I walk inside and ask the woman at the front desk about my vehicle. She walks to the back and then after about 5 minutes comes out and says they’re about to do my oil change and she’s so sorry……………I literally see them pulling my car back into the shop to put it up. I tell them I want my car back and I want to leave, then she says the only thing you’ll be charged for is $209 for the diagnostic that was ran. I say “so I came here for an $89 oil change, and I’m leaving being charged $209 for a diagnostic, without my car receiving the actual oil change”. She said she doesn’t deal with anything in the back and she’s sorry. No one came out to explain ANYTHING. Sorry for this long winded message but I think it’s important to note a SCAM when you see one. Y’all stay safe and have a happy new year.

The experience started off very friendly, almost performative. Lots of “let me show you around the shop” and a full transparency, neighborly vibe that’s clearly meant to make customers feel comfortable. Cute tactic. Unfortunately, once the numbers came out, that transparency disappeared.
I came in with an issue affecting one front wheel bearing and one rear wheel bearing, yet the estimate I was shown was for both front wheel bearings, with the rear apparently to be handled later. That immediately raised a red flag. Wheel bearings do not have to be replaced in pairs, so it felt like I was being nudged into paying for extra work now and then coming back again later. As if I wouldn’t notice.
The total estimate was $1,823.29. The parts listed added up to $739.44, and Maryland tax on those parts was $44.37, which is correct. That leaves $1,039.48 in labor. I’m not an accountant, but I can do basic math. Replacing two wheel bearings is typically a 4 to 5 hour job if that. Even at a generous labor rate, that math does not land anywhere near over $1,000, and I was never given a clear breakdown of labor hours or rate when I asked.
What really sealed it for me was when I asked if I could take the estimate with me to review or get a second opinion and was told I couldn’t. So yes, I took photos instead.
The friendliness and walkthrough felt nice at first, but once I questioned the estimate, the tone shifted and the answers stopped making sense. I’m sharing this so future customers understand the math, trust their instincts, and don’t confuse a shop tour for real transparency.
**update I finally got a booking with my regular mechanic and come to find out I only need the front drivers side wheel bearing done. Nothing was wrong with my other tires. My car is driving great. Again, mechanics lie all the time!!Jan 01, 2026 -
I reserved an appointment online Saturday for Sunday. I was running a little later than my scheduled appointment, so I called and let J.J.'s know I would be a little late. The friendly staff answered the phone told me no problem and to drive safe and they'd see me when I got there. I got there and there was no shortage of cars when I got there. I brought my truck in at a very busy holiday time and i understood that there it would take some time for parts to come in and work to be performed. I called after a couple of days and they updated me on the status of my vehicle. After that initial call I just gave them time to fix my electrical problem and my water pump. They updated me throughout the process. In a little more than a week I got my truck back from more friendly staff and drove it home fine with no problems. I will gladly do business with J.J.'s again for my automotive maintenance needs. Their communication and customer service were to notch. I totally recommend them to anyone seeking a mechanic.

Awesome shop. Had my EVAP sytem fixed. Great group of employees, very friendly and absolutely the cleanest mechanic bays i have ever seen. They offer free complimentary drinks and snacks. They even have loaner vehicles for when u are out of a vehicle for days while they work on yours
Overall excellent place.Dec 29, 2025 -
These guys saved the day! I have been in Waldorf for 17 years and they are THE best mechanics. Honest, professional, and wonderful customer service! They walked me thru my issue and provided video explaining what steps I could take. Had me back on the road in a week. They follow up with ensuring you’re happy with service and let’s just say they have a customer for life! 100% recommend them if you want honest service!

The family operated company was very friendly but very pricey. For brakes and rotors on an Acura 2022 RDX JJ quoted me $900. I am not a car technician but smart enough to know that is overpriced especially for a family operated vendor. Mr. Tires that is 5 minutes from this location was half the price. Once again nice people
but overpriced for the work that is needed.Dec 14, 2025 -
I appreciate JJ's consideration of my time. I went in for a scheduled MD inspection. I was told it would take 45 mins. I was out in less than 30 minutes. That is service you dont see often. They also communicated frequently before and during my visit. I also got a follow up call the day after. I will be back and I do highly recommend them.

Don’t take your vehicle here to get inspected!
Pros: The service is top tier. The employees are extremely hospitable and the waiting area is comfortable and offers snacks and drinks for your convenience. My vehicle was handled in the same day I dropped it off.
Cons: Due to it being a privately owned business the Price for every service is higher than their competitors. When conducting an inspection on my vehicle they found the an “issue” with a locator bar. Didn’t offer any explanation or any proof. I was told my vehicle (which only has 80k miles) was in no condition to drive on the road.
Later in the same week I took it to another location for an inspection and was told it passed with FLYING COLORS! I believe they take advantage of customers in an attempt to get them to buy other services.Dec 09, 2025 -
These people are a total rip off. I had my 2009 Mercedes Benz S65 AMG towed to there shop September of last year, and they could not figure out what was wrong with my car, for months they begged me to keep my car there and they will figure it out, well they kept my car for over a year and after all that begging me to keep it there, as soon as it got fix I didn't have the money right away to pay them, they put in paperwork for mechanical lien on my car, because they had been inquiring about my car when it first got there, and asking all these questions about buying it and all the questions made me think to how they are doing me now with my car, and I want to know if anyone else has experienced this with these people because that was my dream car and those crooks ran a bill up so steep after having my car for over a year now trying to steal it from me on a mechanical lien. There energy and everything changed after the car got fix, they weren't so nice no more and wasn't trying to work with me like I worked with them as they were begging me to keep my car in there shop, freakn crooks.

Worst experience of my life. I usually take my vehicles to Myers and have for 18 years now. I received a flier from JJ's for a free check engine light diagnostic and have a truck that had an overdrive shifter light blinking. I called to may sure they coul do a diagnostic on my transmission instead of engine and they said yes and to bring it in as soon as possible. I brought it in the same day. They told me while I was there it would take a while instead of a few hours like the guy Kylin said on the phone. So I left it with them and they never called back. I called in the evening the next day and they said "you're the guy with the check engine light on right?" I said "no I have an over drive shifter light blinking. I wanted that diagnosed." He then told me I had a misfire in one of the cylinders and went on and on about things NOT related to the overdrive shifter light blinking. When I asked about the "misfire" he said "sorry if you misheard me but...blah blah blah." I did not mishear anything. I then asked if they diagnosed the transmission and he said it was going to cost over $400 to diagnose. When I said Myers quoted me around $130 to diagnose it he then dropped his price to $220ish. This to me fealt scammy so I said I'll come pick up the truck. When I came the next day to pick it up, I had the same shifter light blinking and a new check engine light on. They proceded to say it came in like that when I know it didn't. I will never use this place again. Please don't believe their advertisements. Nothing is free and I should have known better. I left with more problems than I came in with.

“Extremely overpriced labor and high-pressure sales tactics.”
I came in to get my rear brake pads and rotors replaced, and I brought my own parts. The front desk immediately brought out the owner to pressure me into buying their brake pads, rotors, and warranty package. When I declined and asked for a simple labor quote, it took them nearly 30 minutes to “calculate” it.
The labor quote they gave me was $700–$800 just for rear brakes, even though their full package (labor + their parts + warranty) was originally about $900. The pricing made no sense and felt like they were trying to force me into buying their parts by inflating the labor cost.
I ended up leaving and getting quotes from other shops — all between $150–$300 for the same labor using my parts. This place is charging more than double or triple the normal rate.
I would strongly recommend getting multiple quotes before agreeing to anything here. The pressure tactics and inflated prices were a big red flag. I definitely won’t be returning.Nov 16, 2025 -
My husband came with a coolant issue and was told we needed a new radiator. It was 2x the cost of the dealership but because we needed the vehicle for an out of state trip we decided to use your services instead. We received the warranty if anything were to happen after the issue was fixed. The vehicle broke down (due to the issue we brought it in for) while we were out of state, the day we left, and we were left stranded out there. Whenever we called about the vehicle, the shop miraculously always had a power outage. The warranty that said we would be taken care of if we broke down, was of no help. The person who explained it even mentioned coverage if it happens out of state. No one even called the next day to see if we were able to get back on the road. Thankfully, we were able to get back to MD after help from a nice gentleman. When we brought the vehicle back to JJs to let them know the car is still having the same issue after they supposedly fixed it, we were charged another fee (which they refused to waive) to reinspect the vehicle, only to be told that the problem was something else. How was this missed during the initial inspection? How do I know it wasn't intentional to get us to keep coming back? Why didn't the warranty cover the second inspection of the vehicle?
I understand that the place is family owned, yes they greet you with a smile, but they are overpriced and in my experience, not reliable when needed (I simply don't believe there's a power outage every time you need them to follow through. And if so, then perhaps it's time to think about an upgrade to systems or a relocation). Overall traumatic experience for newlyweds trying to figure things out.Nov 07, 2025 -
Just don’t even bother coming to this place. Customer service is horrible. They know they mess up and don’t offer any compensation for it. Took my car to get serviced 10/7/25 10am and informed them I needed the vehicle back by the time they closed. 4pm i called for an update told I would be given a call back and never heard anything back. I went to the shop to pick up my vehicle just to find out they were just beginning the “deeper dive diagnosis” and I needed to leave my car there overnight. When I brought it to the front receptionist attention the only answer she had for me was “ Yeah sorry we did drop the ball this time”. Said they could give me a loaner car yet they had no loaner cars on hand to offer. Called back the next day stating the engine was the issue and it would be $10,000. They are very pushy/money hungry and when you decline to have services there they will NOT give you paperwork stating what’s wrong with your vehicle unless you ask for it and even then they drag their feet with doing giving it to you , so all you have to show is an invoice for the amount you paid. Moral of the story .. take your vehicles elsewhere , it’s not worth the money or headache.

Professionalism — 5 Stars:
ALL reps who answered the phone lines were courtesy and thanked me each time I called for information (which was several times).
Communication — 5 Stars:
They called me same day to give me an update on their diagnostics report and findings.
There was a small hiccup when the advisor informed me additional diagnostics would be needed which would have a fee attached. I assumed he knew I was going through a warranty (which he did not know at the time) so I was confused about paying additional fees. The manager called me soon after to explain the protocol when utilizing warranties and that it was a miscommunication. The service advisor connected with me again and also explained the mix up and the next steps to begin repairs. Regardless I’m appreciative of the extra steps they both took to make sure we are all on the same page to move forward.
Once repairs were started they continued to provide updates via text/phone call. They sent me PDF files via text to review and then called soon after to review the reports with me.
They followed the same procedure for reviewing my estimate and invoice. I was even able to sign and authorize the estimate electronically. Which is convenient for my busy schedule.
Turn Around Time for Repairs — 5 Stars:
Though my vehicles issue may have been minor and quick fix. They gave me a timeframe of 4 days for repair completion. I dropped my car off Wednesday and my vehicle was completed and ready for pick up that Friday (3 days).
Waiting Area & Cleanliness — 5 Stars:
Front office is clutter free and clean. Floors/Windows are clean. They have a little mini fridge with beverages (so cute).
Extra :
They called me the day after (saturday) to follow up and ensure my vehicle was still working properly.
They also mentioned prior to following up that with repair service comes with a 36 month warranty. Which is wonderful and gives peace of mind. Thank you to Khylin (front desk rep), Antione (service advisor) and Justin (manager) as well as the rest of staff who had a hand directly and indirectly in assisting me. Once I picked up my vehicle they printed my invoice and payment receipt stapled it all together and placed it in an envelope I could keep in my car or file away)
Overall Thoughts:
- Amazing customer service
- Fast repair completion
- Clear communication about repairs.
If you hold these three points in high regard for repair shops go to J.J. s Auto Service Center.
I would come here again for minor/major repairs. They did an amazing job fixing my vehicle and getting me back on the road.Oct 19, 2025 -
Today was a first for me. I was excited to support JJ'S Auto Service Center. Jamal was an absolute pleasure. The communication and ease of making an appointment was outstanding. To see the owner JJ working with his crew and on the cars was outstanding.I forgot the lady's name at the front desk but she was awesome. Keep it up! I will be back for sureThank you!!

My experience at J.J.’s Auto Center was a delight! A big round of applause to the individuals that assisted me with my state inspection. I was able to get in on the same day with a reasonable wait time. Everyone was kind and helpful. Many thanks for everything yall.
*please note that your experience with time and accommodations with scheduling may be different than mine. Please use my review as a marker of the service. Depending on the time of day and what they have going on you may have similar results as me or not. Be patient and understanding and I guarantee you’ll be taken care of. Be easy yall!Sep 26, 2025 -
J&J Auto Service was fantastic! I brought my SUV there to get an overview of what was going on with it; they were very professional, courtesy and made sure I knew all the details. The customer service was excellent as well as the technicians. The technician, Joe, ran my car fax report and went over all the details with me, explaining everything and made sure I knew which service was needed. Overall, J&J is an excellent auto service business

Outstanding Service – Engine Replacement
I can’t say enough great things about the team here! Jamal, Justin, and the entire crew went above and beyond during my recent engine replacement. From start to finish, they were professional, honest, and extremely knowledgeable.
Jamal and Justin took the time to work closely with the warranty company and made sure everything was approved without delays. Their communication throughout the process was excellent, and I always felt informed and confident in the work being done.
The technicians did an amazing job — the engine runs smooth, and the car feels better than ever. You can tell this team takes pride in their work and stands behind what they do.
Even after the repair, when a check engine light came on, they were quick to respond and offered to take a look during my upcoming visit for glass work. That kind of follow-through is rare and much appreciated.
If you’re looking for a shop that treats your car like their own and truly values their customers, look no further. Huge thanks again to Jamal, Justin, and the entire team — you’ve earned a customer for life!Jul 31, 2025 -
An absolutely amazing place of business and family. I had my audi s4 here for almost a year dealing with a bad insurance company and terrible dealership but justin/j.j. auto stuck by my side through it all. Honestly never been treated so nicely from any establishment with very good quality work and prices there's no complaints here. They will work with you to get the job done in the best way and Justin's words of encouragement kept me driven to finish/complete this rebuild of my audi instead of giving up halfway through. Highly recommend and greatly appreciate the time work and open arms this business came with Honestly just simply amazing people here!

The lady at the front counter is so awesome and the inspection videos are very helpful. However, I had some tires mounted onto new rims (sealed in box) and they scuffed up my new rims and tried to cover it up with sharpie. Lol. Really? Also was quoted $2k+ for brake pads. Dealership quoted $1200 with rotors.

I bought my 06 Land Rover to J.J. very hesitant and upset due to past experience. My truck was a total mess due to electronic issues, they reassured me of their professionalism and told me not to worry and they would be able to fix. The Customer service was 100% from the beginning of my journey till the very end, in the middle of repair I was updated every step of the way. I've finally found an Auto Mechanic Shop i can finally trust. I'm beyond grateful and have I have a new fresh view of the Auto Mechanic if you live in the Waldorf area I highly recommend J.J Auto service. The entire staff is very pleasant and the mechanics did not hesitate to take the time to talk to me one on one.
