He and the staff at Magothy Auto Services took care of my tire (needed a patch) and sent me on my way without hassle or stress within about 20 minutes. I love these guys at Magothy. They have taken care of all my cars for over (20) years. Yesterday had HID headlight replaced in my 2014 Caddy CTS for half of what another shop had said it would be. (once in awhile you got to check the market). Sorry George. George is great and always knows what's going on.
My truck broke down and I had it towed to their shop. They diagnosed the issue and found the engine was blown, which was outside the scope of their work. They recommended another mechanic they trusted who would be fair and honest. They didn’t overcharge me for the diagnosis and pointed me in the right direction. They treated me fairly and genuinely helped me resolve my issue.
Just started using Magothy Auto. They have done repair work (fixed the ac freon leak on one)and basic maintenance/oil changes work on all three of our cars. Reasonable prices, efficient scheduling, lovely customer service. I'm a believer! Thank goodness we found a reliable mechanic!
Great pricing customer service was great. My vehicle was in and out within a day for a heater core replacement, which is typically a two day job. Would definitely recommend! And if you can pay in cash do so for a 3% discount.
Showed up with a tire leaking air badly. They asked if I wanted to make an appointment. I asked when was the earliest appointment. Man at the desk said leave the car and they will try to look at it today. I told him I couldn’t leave the car as it was my only means of transportation. His response was “oh well. Goodyear’s up the street.” All while on the phone. Thanks for nothing.
Visiting my parents back in SP for a long weekend. George and the crew were able to squeeze me in between their busy schedule within a day of drop off to fix the AC in my Jeep. Thank you Magothy Auto for your reasonable prices and excellent service!
I have saved literally thousands of dollars having my cars serviced here. There are specific stories on why that's the case, long stories, but it's been those experiences that made this my first call for any job, big or small. Rates are more than fair, jobs are done on time, state inspections are available, and the workmanship is first rate.

We've had two cars serviced at Magothy Auto Service for about 2 years. They were referred to me by a local collision shop manager who also does his own boat engine work so he knows who's good in the area. In my experience they have been reliable, responsive and their prices are fair. Best of all they do good work
I had an issue with an engine whine...was prepared for an alternator and serpentine belt change , but they took the time and it was a tension roller. Great service and even better customer service! Had an “auto stop start” error code pop up on my ‘18 Jeep Grand Cherokee, initially took to NTB who wouldn’t touch it since it indicated an auxiliary battery. Called George at Magothy Auto, he immediately said he could fix it and set an appointment up for the following day. Quick turnaround on the service and even reminded me to bring a check or debit card to avoid the 3% credit surcharge. Little details matter. Pro tip: to the greatest extend possible, call ahead and make an appointment.
Used these guys for both my cars for a couple of years now. Always reliable. No over charging. A very friendly and professional service. Highly recommended!

I’ve now taken my 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee here and had them check over the car before going on a trip. Going in thought I needed new brakes and informed them so; thanks to their honestly they informed me my brakes and rotors were fine, they found 2 nails in my back tire and plugged both before calling to tell me my car was ready for pickup. It’s hard to find someone you trust to work on your vehicle and not upsell you on services or parts you don’t need. It feels great to have Magothy Auto to service my vehicles. I will be a lifetime customer. Thanks again for being honest and charging fair prices.

This place is awesome. They are fast, professional, convenient and efficient. I have not had any complaints since I've been taking my vehicles there since about 2017.
We take both cars here and plan to keep it that way. 5 years with George and his team, never disappointed, always treated well and given a fair price. Great customer service and solid work.
Magothy Auto was recommended by several people whose opinions and knowledge I trust. I was pleasantly surprised that they were as competent and honest as I was told they were.
The communication regarding the repairs, estimated cost and status was excellent.
They also didn't have to do the repairs that I thought I needed.

I don't know much about cars, so when I go into a shop I automatically assume they are trying to scam me. This is the second time I've used Magothy Auto, first was to replace brake pads and the second time I was simply worried about a sound my car was making. This shop does a great job and most importantly, I trust that I'm not being scammed. Definitely recommend.
I got my tire replaced over in Kent island and as I was driving over the bridge my whole car was shaking. I fortunately made it to Magothy Auto Services where I was informed my wheel was about to pop off! He took his time checked the rest of my tires and made sure there wasn’t further damage. Then took it for a test drive to make sure it was safe. He was honest, and took care of me, I am so thankful!
Very happy with the quality of work. Also, when I picked up my truck I had an unrelated (to the work Magothy Auto had done) vacuum hose bust. I turned around and they diagnosed and fixed it on the spot, free of charge. We will definitely be going back for our future auto needs.
What an amazing auto shop!!! Super hot end of their business day when my car pooped the bed. I was from out of town and l
imped in asking if could do quick diagnostic plug in to confirm issue. They dropped what they were doing and did such. While waiting, watched how they treated other customers with such regard. Even lent out a funnel to another stranded person. The parking lot was super full ... that's a really good sign. Any rate...they took care of my car the next day at really reasonable rate and time. Very trustworthy and have recommended to my family that lives in the area.
I love Magothy Auto Services! They are friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful. I had a notice that my car would be towed if I didn't get the emissions repair inspected (I forgot). I had one day to get it done, and went to Magothy without an appointment. I told them what happened and within an hour, they took my car in, did the inspection, signed and stamped the forms, and didn't charge me a dime. They had a lot of work to do, too, but made time in their really busy schedule to take care of my issue even though it didn't benefit them financially. Just to be clear - this was an emissions repair inspection, not a MD state inspection, which will definitely cost you money. I would call ahead or plan to leave your car as it takes a while to do a proper inspection.
On a Friday, an hour and half before they close, during beach traffic, an hour from home, about 95 degrees and had my dog..my brakes were failing and I pulled in. They saw me straight away, gave me a diagnosis and cost. We're friendly and sympathetic. Although my issue was huge and unfixable on the spot, I chose to take the least risky route and knew what I had. I would certainly have given them the business, but was too far from home to arrange a drop off. If your in their area...highly recommend. Their cost were competitive and trust they will do a great job.
Really efficient service. Was heading across country in 12 yr old vehicle and they made sure everything was in place to be safe for the drive. Didn't feel like they were trying to up-sell me on anything, which was a first. Friendly and helpful staff.
