I was visiting from out of town when my car started smoking. The Google reviews brought me to Nealy. I was super impressed with the staff. Sheldon and Connor provided great communication and service. They were able to see my car quickly and do the repairs in a timely manner. I decided to get extra work done because of how they handled my initial repair. Thanks for the hard work and attention to detail. It makes a difference and is much appreciated!

I was looking for a front end alignment and made a couple calls and then I connected with David who could not have been more accommodating and friendly and my car was in your shop the next morning…my transaction was extremely pleasant and highly professional and you and Clinton made the wait very pleasant. The work was done quickly, and the price was reasonable..I would highly recommend everyone to consider having you service their vehicles..

Never come here if you are a first-time car owner. They are not mechanics you can trust with your money or your safety. 1. Overpriced & Dishonest Repairs: I first came here for a Maryland State Inspection. They quoted me $1,700 to replace the Rack and Pinion Assembly, claiming the inner tie rods weren't available as independent parts. I later found out this was completely false. To make it worse, they charged over $800 for a "Reman" (remanufactured) part, not even a new one. As a new car owner, I felt trapped and exploited. 2. Ridiculous Diagnostic Fees: When my check engine light came on, they wanted over $200 just for a diagnostic fee. I went to AutoZone instead, where they read the code for free. It was a minor sensor signal issue, and the light went off by itself later. 3. Negligence on Safety Issues: During an oil change, they gave me another quote for over a thousand dollars but completely missed a significant oil leak in the spark plug tubes that was causing engine misfires. Even after I pointed out the leak, they ignored it. This is a major safety hazard that they failed to address while trying to upsell me on other things. If you have money to burn and don't mind driving a car with ignored safety hazards, go ahead. Otherwise, save yourself the stress and find an honest mechanic elsewhere.

Wonderful experience. Great customer service. I work long hours and the guys came and picked up my car at work which was over and beyond what was expected. I will be utilizing this place for all my automotive repairs going forward. Highly recommended.

BEFORE agreeing to any work - Do your Google homework, and call around. I was surprised that charge for parts was 20% higher than any corresponding prices that I could find online. The hours used for the labor (2hr) was 10% more than 'average' (1.8hr) according to internet search, and the labor charge was $250/hr. The result was a surprisingly-hefty bill. Apart from sticker shock, I thought their services was organized and timely.

I received excellent customer service during a routine tire rotation and complimentary multi-point inspection. During the multi-point inspection the techs identified an issue related to a noise I have been putting up with since another dealership service department determined they did not find anything wrong. They took the time to bring me out to my car to show me the issue and sent me video for warranty purposes. The issue was related to my steering which I could have eventually lost. I’m so thankful for Nealeys! I will never look elsewhere for service!

They completed extensive work on my F150 and set me up with a loaner vehicle which enabled me to continue to get to and from work seamlessly. Now my truck runs like new. I cannot be happier with the service I recieved here. I highly recommend having your vehicle serviced here. They were honest, straight forward and delivered on exactly what they said they woukd do. This will definitely be my new home for auto work.

I really appreciated the fast and competent tire replacement, and especially how easy it was for me to have the work done during my work day. So nice to have my finished car delivered to work!

So far, I have had nothing but positive experiences with Nealy, they aren’t cheap but you pay for what you get. I can add that they do find the best price for you with making the consumer aware of specials and coupons that they can use for their services. I like it they have loaner cars. Also they take a lot of stress out of the process of car repair. And all the employees are super nice and professional.

Another $3000 estimate to fix a $2500 car. I’m not surprised at this point. They even tried to convince me that it was a good investment because it only has 115,000 miles. There are lots of auto repair places that really seem to look out for the customer as part of their business model. Nealy, in my experience, has not been one of those places. In the future, I will just make the trip to Crofton where my regular mechanic doesn’t charge me hundreds of dollars for an overpriced assessment.

Took our 2006 Pontiac Vibe (aka Toyota Matrix) in for brake noise, expecting to need new brakes. Tech called to say brakes were dirty but had plenty of life left. However, they did find a serious oil pan leak, and dry rot cracks on all four tires. Opted for 4 tires (reasonaby-priced), brake cleaning and adjustment, flush and fill brake lines and coolant. Ready the second 200K miles. Love these guys!

Ill start by saying, the people and service I experienced was amazing. I received a half dozen emails/texts to give feedback after I picked up my car, but when I did, I never received a response. I was charged $1500 for a clock spring part alone (not including labor). I requested more information to why this was so much when even the most expensive ones I could find were running $500.

I received great service by Sheldon and the entire staff. Sheldon was very professional and polite. The owner AJ was knowledgeable and took the time to explain the services my car needed. I would recommend Nealey's!

The folks here were fantastic. I called about a bolt puncture in a tire and we had a good conversation about patch versus new tire. They were frank and honest and laid out quotes for both options in case the patch failed. They knocked it out quickly and were communicative throughout. Definitely will be back when the new shoes are required. Thank you!

I had asked ChatGTP for recommendations regarding brake service. Nealey Tire came up at the top of the list. I was greeted by Sheldon and had the estimate and work explained to me by David. I am very impressed with the customer service and quality work they did. I highly recommend taking your vehicle to Nealey Tire for any repairs.

I was in a bad spot and had to get 4 spark plugs and 1 ignition coil replaced. My kid put to much oil in the vehicle and it was misfiring and shaking making it very dangerous to try and drive the vehicle 25miles home. Nealey charged me almost $69 per plug and $150 for the coil. A box of 4 plugs will cost between $25-$40 at auto zone and the coil is around $40-$60. I dropped the vehicle off around 1pm and it was finished by 4pm. They didn't work on my vehicle as soon as I dropped it off bc they had 3 vehicles already on the lifts and they told me they would try and get it done that day. So I would assume they didn't do it right away. The entire job might take 2hrs tops to do. My bill was over $700. They charged me $350 to change the plugs, $274 for 4 spark plugs, and $150 for the coil. Then had the nerve to say "Im gonna give you a break and not charge you $75 for plugging in the engine code reader", which took a total of 30sec. Their cost was $200-$250 more than the 2 local mechanics I typically use and would have been over $300 more if they charged me for the code reader. I can only imagine how much they overcharge for major issues. I would highly recommend you finding another mechanic if you have the ability to do so.

Two thumbs up to everyone at Nealey Tire and Auto. They went above and beyond to fix my car when I was in a pinch. As I was driving home from work a large piece of metal flew off a semi-truck and struck the front of my vehicle. When I arrived home I immediately smelled radiator fluid. I observed a large hole in my front bumper and the radiator actively leaking. I immediately drove it to Nealey’s. Right away they inspected my vehicle and were able to remove the large piece of metal which had damaged the radiator and A/C condenser from inside my bumper. I made a claim with insurance and Nealey’s worked with them to ensure a quick and effortless fix on my end. They repaired my vehicle faster than expected. Everyone at the Edgewater location was professional and very knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend them to anyone!!

First time going to Nealey's for service. I had heard good things and saw the great reviews on Google, so decided to give it a shot. My truck would not crank, so had to get it towed in there. From the first time I talked to Clinton at the Edgewater location, he just made me feel comfortable. The dealer had told me that it would be a week before they could even look at it. Clinton assured me that I would have an answer as to why my truck would not start, that same day, and it was a Saturday. A few hours later, they had a diagnosis for me. They text me a link where I could look at the report on my truck. Clinton then called me a little while later to talk to me about it and explained everything to me. Zero pressure, and Clinton treated me with courteous, professional, and personal respect. He was very thorough on what needed to be done, and things that were recommended but not absolutely necessary at the moment. I authorized the work and Clinton and his team of technicians made sure to take care of everything and get me back on the road as fast as they could. Truck was ready in under a day. Everything from the initial tow, to picking the truck up, fixed good as new, was probably the easiest most comfortable vehicle repair experience I have ever had. With 5 vehicles in the family, I promise you that when I need vehicle repair again, my first call will be to Nealey in Edgewater. Thanks Clinton and the team!!

My husband and I recently relocated from Kansas City. We brought our car in for a state inspection and the shop ended up finding mechanical issues that occurred during our tow on the move. Originally they were super helpful with helping us get quotes and amounts to submit a claim. U-Haul ended up give us the complete original invoiced amount reimbursment. The shop then told us we would have our car back within 4 days. 5 days after the drop off the shop finally called my husband to let us know that the original invoice was incorrect and that it would actually be 2500. Because it was not on the originally invoice, U-Haul declined the rest of the payment and my husband were out 2500 that would have been covered. This company did not double check the invoice for the work that was needed to be done and also did not have a complete knowledge to know what went into the repair. no discount of apology offered.

I had a excellent experience at Nealey Tire. It started with ordering the tires the day before to the installation the next day. I worked with Clinton and he was very helpful and professional. I will highly recommend Nealey Tire to all my friends and family.

Took my car in for a state inspection and could not have been easier. Booked my appointment easily online, they had a shuttle service to and from the shop during the appointment, and staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They also sent me a summary of the inspection which broke items down by passing results and suggested maintenance. Extremely easy process and great staff!

I took my car in because I had a tire with a nail in it that was losing air. The tires hadn't been rotated in over year so the front were very worn relative to the back tires. The back tires had very good thread left so I wanted them to put those on the front and the worn front tires to the rear and that would get me through to the Spring and then I'd replace the two tires. I figured I was looking at less than $100 for this. As with many shops, they tried to get me to spend the maximum and proposed 4 new Tire Paw tires and a 4 wheel alignment which came to over $1,000! I had previously priced tires at Sam's Club and a full set of highly rated Pirelli tires would cost me $650. These are far superior to the Tiger Paw tires proposed by Nealey Tire. A 4 wheel alignment would be another $120 so a total of $770. So Nealey tried to charge me 20% more for a set of lesser quality tires when I really only needed two tires at the most. I didn't need 4 tires. Buyer beware and try to do your homework before going to repair shops or else you may pay more for things you don't need that are also of lesser quality than you could get elsewhere. I won't be back here. I have no tolerance for this "up charge" game that many shops try to pull on you.

My husband (whom I referred to Nealy’s) paid nearly $3,000 for new brakes, rotors, and an oil change. Not long after, the ball bearing started pushing out of the socket and into the brake pads—something that should have been caught or prevented during their service. When confronted, they denied any connection to their work and refused to take responsibility, despite their supposed 3-year parts and labor warranty. “Good customer service” means nothing when a business won’t stand behind its own repairs or be transparent about what went wrong. No one expects perfection, but accountability is non-negotiable. I won’t overpay for a shop that hides behind excuses instead of owning its mistakes. Nealey’s lost not only my trust but also my business and the referrals I’ve sent their way.

Absolutely excellent experience from the moment I walked in to well after the repairs were completed. On a trip from NC to NJ, my Ram broke down in Annapolis. I limped off the highway and after unsuccessfully finding help at other shops, I was referred to this one. Fifth time was the charm. I trudged into Nealy's office in defeat. I was going through some really major personal issues, and needed to get to my parents. My truck breaking down was the icing on the cake. The team immediately sympathized with my situation and got me in quickly. Nealy's manager even put their master mechanic on it. Before long, it was determined that the issue was very likely due to the negligence of my NC mechanic's work just months ago. Since I had gotten there around 2pm, there just wasn't enough time in the day to get the job. I had to book a hotel nearby, and they offered to drive me there, suggesting good eats and things to do nearby. The next day, they picked me up and brought me back to the shop. The repairs had been completed, and I was back on my way. While I had meant to follow up with my NC mechanic immediately following the repair, life hit hard, and I didn't get to it until about two weeks later. I contacted my mechanic, explained what had happened, and provided the invoice from Nealy's. They asked for pictures and video of what had happened. So, I reached back out to Nealy's, who remembered me. Within an hour, they gladly provided photo and video directly to my mechanic as solid evidence proving my case. It all worked out. It's now a month later, and the truck is running like new. These guys are a wonderful team filled with kindness, honesty, skill, and compassion. Despite a lousy situation, they made my first ever stay in Maryland really nice. Y'all really came through for me, and I can't enough. God bless y'all! With gratitude, Andy

Very efficient and friendly. It took them no time at all to get the screw out of my tire, patch It up, lastly, made sure it was balanced. I suggest you bring someone w/ you. The waiting room is non existing. At my age any time standing still, is to long. Wonderful staff btw. Fondly, Becky J Danko

Nealys service is next to none.the people who work there are great and service is great. They would get 5 stars from me if it wasn't for their prices. Thay are much higher than most. The 2 times I have used them. The price was actually double what the dealership would have charged. But they provide a loaner vehicle which the dealership does not. There are pros and cons. But that being said im happy with their work

From start to finish, it was a great experience. The inspection was thorough and I was able to make an appointment for repairs for the following morning. The breaks were completed the same day about 2 or 3 hours ahead of schedule. The price of the repairs were significantly less than other places that gave me a quote. Staff was incredibly friendly and polite and kept me very informed about the repair progress.

Nealey Tire and Auto service was Awesome! I called and share with the customer service young lady who was very nice and accommodating on the same day. I drove over a cone and my pan underneath my car was dragging. I shared I maybe a little late arriving and they where still able to service my car and tighten back the pan complementary ( no cost). I was truly grateful to the staff and appreciative. I would definitely recommend them for the future and will be back. Thank you again Nealey Tire and Auto service!

I brought my truck in for AC problems. Nealey didn’t charge for the diagnostic, but did bill $300 to refill Freon with dye, saying they couldn’t find a leak. A week later the AC failed again. They then diagnosed the evaporator core and recommended replacing it along with the heater core. The job was quoted at about $3,000 but reduced to $2,600, which I appreciated. The repair process, however, came with several issues. I was asked to rewire my radio even though it worked when I dropped the truck off. When I picked it up, the AC worked but my airbag light was on and the reverse camera didn’t function. After bringing it back again, I was told those issues were fixed, but then the camera stuck on in reverse and new warning lights appeared (check engine, VSC, traction control). On top of that, while my dashboard is nearly 20 years old and already cracked, it came back with new pry marks and looked worse than before. I also had to rewire multiple things myself. To Nealey’s credit, the AC repair itself was done and it works properly now. But the process took about a month start to finish, with added stress and issues along the way. I’ve had good experiences with Nealey before, but this visit left me questioning whether I’ll return—especially when being charged dealership-level pricing.
