I was the only customer in the store and the person behind the counter acted as though I was really bothering his peace and quiet when I asked if he could look up the number of a light bulb for my car.

Danny helped with a new battery and was excellent! Explained all of my options, quickly installed the new one and I was on my way!

I had a very disappointing experience at this Advance Auto Parts location. The employee, an African American man around 40 years old, treated me with disrespect and made me feel unwelcome. My first language is not English, and he mocked me because of it. When I asked for help finding some parts, he was visibly irritated and dismissive. His behavior was not only rude but felt discriminatory and racist. This was, by far, the worst customer service I’ve ever received, and I would not recommend this store to anyone who values respectful treatment. I won’t be coming back.

I'm trying to visit this store less and less, there are at least two people there, among them one named Nathan who all the time has a bad attitude with customers like people come to order, it takes forever to find the parts, and everything The weather is pretty moody.

Danny and his associate were of great help in helping me change my rear taillight along with my windshield wipers. Both were very pleasant and helpful. Would highly recommend this location!

My car needed a battery change and did the mistake taking it here trusting the job would get done correctly since I never had an issue before. Had a gentleman install it and heard what sounded like an electric shock, My husband went out to see how things were. When supposedly the job was done my car wouldn’t turn on, the gentleman even seemed confused. After about an hour of trying to get my car to work (didn’t have any issues before, and even took it for inspection a week before at Honda which passed, only issue was low battery) he said it was probably alternator that was having an issue. We knew that wasn’t true and something was done wrong. Next day we had to call to get out car tolled and had someone to look at it, I was upset to realize that the battery was connected incorrectly causing the wires to burn up, and the car computer to not work.

We had got a jump and needed a battery test . It was raining last evening . 12/27/23.The young lady said that we didn’t understand that water from the rain and electricity do not mix and she couldn’t test the battery . The gentleman in the store setting and on his cell phone said they didn’t have a bay like Mr Tire or Pep Boy . I assume he didn’t want to get wet . We went next door to Mister Tire and had a battery tested and installed.

Warning… my tone is coming from a place of frustration. 2 Advance Auto Parts later (Annapolis and Edgewater), this establishment, known for diagnosing and replacing batteries, was useless. Nobody at either location could figure out how to access my battery in my 2011 Lexus CT 200h. Not even with google. Smh. Thanks for Nathan!

During my recent purchase at this location (Edgewater, MD), I found the entire experience A++! Julio was very helpful from purchasing my new battery to installing my battery. The old battery was really determined to try and sta, but Julio was patient and skillful and managed to get it removed. He was very knowledgeable and very courteous. His coworker, Brendan who assisted, was also just as knowledgeable and courteous. I would absolutely recommend this location to my friends and family for their auto part needs. Thank you!!

I walked into advanced auto parts to be greeted by Tom at the front counter and I had a problem with my fuse box and he went out of his way to fix the issue, I wanna thank advanced auto parts staff for this wonderful customer service

Accommodating and knowledgeable staff always make my visit pleasant. My recent purchase was carried to my car at the insistence of my salesman. It was only two gallons of windshield washer, but I was using a cane. What a kind young man!

Thanks to Isaac at Advanced Auto Parts for helping us install a new battery tonight. Me and my family have been trying to get a new car battery for a few days. We finally found a good deal and great customer service at the Edgewater MD Advanced Auto Parts. We met Isaac, he was very easy to talk to and took his time to remove the old battery and install a new one- minutes before the store was about to close. I would totally recommend Isaac at this location if you are in need of help. He was very patient, kind and gave great customer service. Anna

I had a hell of a day and these guys fixed me up quick. I had just dropped my dog off for surgery and my car battery died. Andre set me up with a new battery and installed it for me. A ray of hope in a stressful and awful morning. Thank you!

Richard was very professional to deal with. He went Above and Beyond to make sure I was taken care of and even educated me on compatible parts to fix my truck. Back on the road thanks to him. ❤🙏

Great store at a very convenient location in Edgewater. Got what I came for and the young clerk at the counter, Rudolph, was so quick and more so kind! He graciously carried my purchase to my car, held the store's front door open for me, and then placed my purchase behind my driver's seat! To go that "extra mile" (auto humor there...) and to be so attentive to provide extra help is the epitome of kindness and perfect "customer service!" So glad I got what I needed but even more so to meet Rudolph and have the pleasure of interacting with such a kind and thoughtful young gentleman. Many thanks!! 5-stars all the way!!

New to Annapolis and realizes they have become my UPS drop off Access Point. They go above and beyond for you to see you get your package! The store also is well stocked, great sales, easy parking.

Went in due to a bad battery that needed to be jumped that morning, and was able to be seen nearly immediately, even though I was at the store at 710 though they open at 7:30am weekdays. Rocky was extremely helpful and professional. I had no appointment, was in a rush, and got to the store prior to them opening. All of these factors, I was very fortunate to be able to be seen immediately, and they helped me when I was in a bind. Thank you!

Cashier Stephanie has no idea what she is doing; I priced the break pads at Auto Zone across the street they were cheaper I informed her your competitor price was cheaper just did not have in stock; she replied: "I dont control pricing" I already figured that out she is a cashier; She pulled up the brakes and could not explained the difference in the premium brakes versus the other grades; she kept asking the manager to explain; then I asked her about the warranty again could not explain it and asked the manager for explanation; now I'm here at mechanic to install and she gave me the wrong front brakes; and I'm in Silver spring! Take her off the front and retrain her or make her a stock boy unbelievable!!!!!

Always have a great selection and the parts for my vehicle are in stock. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable

After waiting for a few minutes because the only sales clerk in the place was busy I asked if they recycle engine oil, like the website suggested. The clerk Jerome, ignored my question and went to the back to clean plastic off a table. Very odd, why not just do it when your customer leaves. Then he removes the cap of the container holding the oil, sniffs it and says it smells like gas! I guess your nose is better than my word, ignorant sales clerk. There is a sign on the door about needing help, I can see why. Drove across the street to Auto Zone and they exceeded my expectation with their customer service. I won't be coming back to advanced auto.

Personal and honest story. We came here after finding out that the car we had needed a lot of replacement parts (according to a mechanic) to pass the safety inspection test. We asked a man at the counter, Jerome, what the total cost of the parts would be, hoping to save some money because the mechanic we had gone to was charging us $800 for parts. He patiently and helpfully looked up the prices, for a total of around $400, and recommended that we go to another mechanic because we may not need all of those replacement parts to begin with. When we asked if he could recommend anyone, he directed us to a man he personally knows and who he could vouch for, and then rung up some parts we could replace ourselves. He even replaced the wind shield wipers for us, just to be nice! The service here is good and they have all the parts you would need. They have earned themselves a loyal customer.

Almost always have what you need and if they don't they do what they can to get it and sometimes even they will send someone to get it from a different store or order it for the next day love the customer service and they are always friendly and very helpful would recommend this location to anyone i'm not sure about other locations go there because they do everything they can to satisfy their customers like I said!!

Advanced auto parts in general has always had issues every time I go in hence why I use Auto zone. The manager In the store was ignorant and basically useless and actually walked away and started doing something else while I was waiting for him to finish helping me. So please dont use Advanced!

The staff here is extremely unhelpful. They act like it's a pain on their soul to help a customer. Every time I come here it's like a game to see how long I'll wait to even get rung up for something while the people behind the counter just shuffle around giving dirty looks.

I saved money on the breaks my bf asked me to get for my car. It was about $15 less at Advance Auto parts than their competitor. The guy at the counter was pretty helpful as well. I would give more stars if I went here more to have a better review.

Good store selection is ok customer service was good. But missing a lot of products on the shelf they had in the back. That kills a star because I want to grab and go vs. asking the associate for washer fluids of a certian brand.

In general they stink. The local parts store has gone walmart. They offer a lot of junk. It's sad. I rarely can get what I want anymore. Have to go to a store in the industrial park or online. The staff isn't knowledgeable enough to help anyone past an oil change kit or headlight bulb. And they screw that up sometimes. This store in particular is my last ditch stop when I'm looking for a particular oil weight that's sold out elsewhere.
