I blew a shock traveling through Boston to York & needed to head home early the next morning. Wiggin Auto Repair made time to do the repair and have me on my way on short notice.
Nate was a huge help and got me in fast after walmart had damaged my oil filter when they installed it and I was leaking oil everywhere. He Got me in the next morning, found the problem and even sent me a video of the issue. He was excellent with communication and discussed everything with me and only charged me for a new oil change. Highly recommend!

I'm on vacation with my father in wells Maine and one morning we were going to go out for breakfast when my truck wouldn't start. Knowing some mechanics I ruled it out to be my fuel pump. So I gave wiggins auto a call and he answered on the first call. My car broke down on the way home from college, 7 hours from home and Wiggin auto repair was the closest shop I could get a tow too. Nathan was extremely helpful and looked at my car right away even though he didn’t have any openings that day. He was very kind and very helpful and even offered me a place to stay if I needed one. I would definitely recommend him to anyone nearby.

While traveling from 300 miles away to Maine, lights on my dashboard started to turn on and my car wouldn’t go more than 10mph. Somehow, the car decided to stop completely right across the street from Nate’s garage. I called him after hours and he answered and allowed us to keep the car there overnight. Within 36 hours Nate fixed our problem and got us back on the road. He gave updates along the way and was very patient with us. Thanks Nate!
I was traveling to CT from Maine and had to pull off the highway due to an engine sputter.. Wiggin was able to fit me in last minute and fixed a very stupid mistake made by my regular garage. Super nice and had me on my way in no time. I'd give him 10 stars if I could!!
I want to give a big shout out to Nate of Wiggin’s Auto Repair. He came through for us in a pinch. He did a complicated repair in a timely fashion for a reasonable price when no other garage would even look at the car.
My son has a rare Japanese import that needed a total clutch replacement. We live in Portsmouth and had 3 different garages turn us down for the repair. They said it was too complicated for most of their technicians and too much of a time suck. Thankfully friends in Maine directed us to Nate. He took the job in with no hesitation and successfully completed it as quickly as possible. He was easy to get a hold of and was responsive to our questions and needs. Broke down in York while passing by. My insurance recommended them as the nearest repair shop. The owner was able to diagnose and replace the broken alternator in my car in about a day/day and a half. However he did tell me my back brakes were bare metal and I need to get them replaced asap. Knowing I had my car looked at by several mechanics just a few months ago (fluid checks, oil change, tire rotation, alignment, fixing a flat tire), I had never been informed my brakes were in such bad shape. On the cautious side I decided to wait until back in CT to bring her to a mechanic a family member recommended. They looked at her for free and didn't find anything wrong saying my brake pads were still about halfway through their life. I've been to many mechanics for my car and being a young women always have to be cautious about not being screwed over. I always reccomend speaking to multiple people about any repair needed on your car, or if you get someone you know and trust to stick with them.
I'm from out of town. My car suffered a catastrophic failure. Nathan was courtious, helpful, responsive, and did not take advantage of my situation. Quick repair at a VERY reasonable price. I strongly recommend!

Was vacationing in York and a few things lit up on my dashboard along with the check engine light. My husband has a code reader and we were able to do a little online investigating in addition to speaking to our regular mechanic at home to see if we should bring the car somewhere to be checked before making a 3 hour ride home later in the week. Looked for a place close by and Wiggins came up. Reviews seemed positive. Called and Nate told us to come down. He checked the car and told us he thought we were fine to drive home but offered to fix the car as well if we wanted. He gave us an estimate for cost and it seemed reasonable. He said he could probably get it back to us the next day. We left the car and sure enough he called the next afternoon to say it was all set. Price was as mentioned the day before. We were very grateful to have found a good and honest mechanic. Would highly recommend!
Nate has checked my truck twice since I moved up to the area. He made sure I was safe and saw me right away.I trust him and will continue to use him in the future.
I just moved to Maine and Nate has checked my truck twice just to make sure my fluids were ok..he fit me in both times asap and made sure I was safe. He is my new mechanic for everything in the future.
Avoid if Possible:
I had him as my main mechanic for about 5 years, and only after going somewhere else did I realize how much he was taking me for a ride. I poured about 10k into repairs on a 12 year old car over just a couple years, he did unauthorized repairs on my next vehicle, and for my final one there was a power steering leak that he “fixed” but attached the in-tube to the out-port and vice versa. I only learned this after going to Puffer Auto in Kittery where I’ve been ever since. Cars needed work definitely, but I do believe he squeezed as much money out of me as he possibly could. No satisfactory service customer service or regard for his poorer clients, he’d dodge my calls and talk down to me. Again, avoid if you can.
I ended up at Wiggin Auto after an unexpected flat tire over New Years holiday. Even though Nathan didn't have an opening until later in the week he squeezed me in earlier and got my tire sensor and valve replaced the next day. Very gregarious and pleasant guy and obviously knows his stuff. Will definitely go back for future service.
I have absolutely zero car knowledge and brought my car here because it was the first place I saw while driving. Not sure of his name, but he was very helpful, friendly and polite. I would definitely return if I didn’t live so far away!
