The folks at Mast Landing in Freeport were absolutely above and beyond amazing! We had a last-minute request to host a celebration of life for my father-in-law, expecting around 100 people, and they made everything feel effortless. Ashley was an absolute breath of fresh air during such a tough time — kind, attentive, and incredibly supportive. We’re so grateful for the care and compassion we received. I absolutely recommend this private event space for any of your needs; easy location to find right off the highway in freeport, lots of parking and friendly staff.
We walked out after sitting at a table for 20 minutes, and never approached by any server. We didn't like anything about Mast Landing Brewing Company, the people there were not friendly or helpful. It's "self-serve" through an app you scan to your phone, and I've been hacked way too many times to do that anymore. I was alone on crutches until my husband had parked the car and come inside, and the place had only a few customers, all servers were chatting at the bar with each other and maybe two other patrons. No one came to our table or offered to serve us or show us alternatives to the app ordering. We cannot stand places like this, it was huge inside and very impersonal. It wasn't clear how to order food from the adjoining restaurant, and the whole place is just confusing and for 20-somethings, not for people over 40. We hated it. We will never go to a place like this again, if this is the new "it" approach to a gastro pub, we will find real restaurants with friendly servers. This was like ordering at a kiosk at an airport, or a fast-food place. Really stupid concept.
We frequent a lot of breweries across many states, and my husband and I both agreed that some of the best beer we ever had was here! We tried the peanut butter stout and i had the cake sour- unbelievably delicious and tasted exactly as they were described. Convenient location and parking as well!
Great menu of beers on tap! The sours were phenomenal and extremely unique flavors, specifically the magic sunset cake. If your passing thru do not skip!!

Quick service at the bar - I grabbed a glass of Rosé and my boyfriend got the Neon Sails IPA. He liked it so much, he got a 4 pack to take home! We also got the Daily Driver as well (vodka).
They have a kitchen there called Nighthawk’s - we ate before so didn’t get to try!
There’s bar seating and normal seating as well!
Overall, good vibes inside, nice staff! Recommended :)
This place was terrible. All the beer was average at best. Food took over an hour. Last call was at 8:30 and I felt rushed the whole time. Staff tried to give off a deadhead vibe but seemed like a bunch of posers. Place was weak as hell and the staff couldn't wait to leave. Avoid at all costs.
We stopped here after some LL Bean time because it just seemed like a good call to check out the brewery. So glad we did! The food was amazing. I tried the chile burger which was delicious. And I had the “You Helped Brew This Beer” stout. It was so good! My wife had a blueberry sour. I tried it & it was phenomenal. She had a wonderful salad (had chick peas & cooked cheese). It was delicious. If you are in that area, check it out!
The food and the sour beer were good. Easy location off the highway. Felt very impersonal as you order food off a qr and pick it up at the window and the beer was just a quick transaction and not very welcoming.
We stumbled upon this brewery by way of the hotel next door. It has a self service kiosk to order your food and lots of delicious options for beverages from alcoholic to non alcoholic. The outdoor patio is nice too. My child
Ordered the GF pizza bread and I even tried it and it was delicious. Love that they have some GF options to enjoy.
Highly recommend! Lots of seating indoors and outdoors. We were able sit outside on their back patio with our dog. The beers that we’ve had here have been pretty good too!
This place is a great spot to grab a bite and enjoy some really nice IPAs. They even allow dogs on the back patio, which is a plus. Plus, it’s conveniently located near other areas in the area.

We stopped in for drinks and food. Excellent service. Easy to order drinks and food. The bartender recommend some excellent beers and we were able to order food from restaurant with a QR code. There's a tv screen that tells you how long until your food order is ready, pretty cool and very accurate. The food was more like bar food, cooked excellent as expected and tasty. Wings seemed a bit pricy for 8 but the flavor was good. They do not do refills on lemonade and tea - for $3 they definitely should. Plenty of seating and cozy environment. We had a great time and our kids were able to come enjoy some games on the TVs. I liked the Beach draft beer. We had wings, club sandwich, chicken sandwich and burger. All prepared very nicely.
This Mast Landing location has everything I want in a brewery: plenty of room inside, lots of seating options, a big outdoor space, and awesome pours. It’s a massive place, and they even serve up real food (not just the usual pretzels and chips) thanks to Nighthawk Kitchen; the food’s actually pretty good.
If you’re into IPAs, you’ll be right at home here. I tried two during my last visit, and both were solid 4/5s. They mostly focus on IPAs, but they’ve got a few stouts and some fruity beers mixed in too.
What really stood out for me is how much space there is to hang out. Inside, you’ve got couches, tables, and bar seating, so you can settle in wherever you feel comfortable. Outside, there’s a huge patio with grass, adirondacks, and picnic tables. Even though it’s close to the highway, it’s surprisingly not that loud.
One thing to note: it’s VERY family-friendly. You’ll probably see a bunch of kids and dogs around, which didn’t bother us, but if you’re trying to get away from that scene, it might not be the vibe you’re after. Otherwise, it’s a great place to relax with some good beer and food.
These guys blow the socks off of Maine Beer Co. Absolutely a must visit. The sours are excellent, the stout a must have and the pretzel bites alone would keep you coming back for more. Plus a cribbage night on Mondays! What more could you want at a brewery?
Nice newish taproom. They have a patio outback that is dog friendly. We have our Dr.dog with us so we sat out there. Was pretty warm in July around lunch time, but they did have umbrellas for the tables for shade. The patio can get kind of crowded with a bunch of dogs on it though.
The beer is good, I got some lagers and light beer since it was warm out.
We got food as well, which was pretzel bites and a burger. The pretzel bites were a huge portion.
They also now n/a hop water called evenkeel. My wife enjoyed that.
Overall a good place that can appeal to a variety amount of people. Not just beer drinkers.
We found this brewery on the way to another one and decided to stop on our way back. The staff was very helpful in helping us pick out beers that we liked. We ended up getting two flights plus some take home beer.
You order at a counter when you walk in. It doesn’t really look like a bar or a pub and the folks who work here are very transactional. You ain’t in Boston and you are not at Cheers. Nobody knows your name and forget about listening to your order. If you don’t know what you want or have too many questions expect to get a lot of strange looks. I ordered the Gunners daughter, had it at a local bar and it was great but was $10 for what really looked like a 16oz beer. Liked it so much we decided to go to the home of the stout. It tasted just as good as at the bar but in a less than 16oz glass even though I ordered a 16oz beer. My wife likes her beer sweet, think Belgium Framboise. So she tried the cherry lime Ricky. It was fine. Not very sweet but lacked the hoppy taste she really doesn’t like so it was all good. We also ate at nighthawks. It was an ordeal to use the electronic ordering. But we finally got it. The Cuban sandwich was a Maine version and unless you are a Cuban sandwich perfectionist this version was more than acceptable. In fact. The choice of mustard and bread added to the experience. The pretzel bites leave a lot to be desired. Think little dough balls that had nothing in common with pretzels. We didn’t order any sauce cause I love pretzels with mustard. These were pretty meh. So save the money and skip them. In both places there was an 18% tip option. Funny, I didn’t really interact with anyone. Not sure why there is a tip option, the customer does all the work and you don’t even build a relationship with the bar tender. So . . . . ?. In the end it was fine but lacked ambience and any reason to come back except of course to buy a 4pack of Gunners Daughter which I highly recommend. Take it home and enjoy it with friends and a pleasant environment, hopefully overlooking the water and a sunset. And your food or snacks will be exactly what you wanted.
Nice place with a cool outdoor area. Enjoyed the Nitro Gunner Stout and a New England IPA. Really good beer flowing out of this place. Also enjoyed food from next doors Night Hawks kitchen

We started with a blueberry lemonade sour and a strawberry raspberry All The Way Up. Both were light and refreshing and not too sweet. We had the hot honey hush puppies as a starter. Delish! Jalapeño burger and jackfruit Rueben’s were both excellent. Great variety on the new menu. Loved every bite of the Brussel sprout Caesar salad. Fries were good! Always a great time sitting in the back and watching all of the dogs! A great lunch and beer as always
Great spot with plenty of indoor/outdoor seating and many taps flowing with beers styles for every palette. $8-8.50 pints. There is an attached take out window for food options.
Breweries almost always get a 5 from me with these provisions: good/well done beer in a variety of styles, and a good atmosphere that's not insanely crowded.
This fits the bill for sure. Clean beachy aesthetic with great beer. Personally, my favorite was Windbreakers at the time, but I'm an IPA kind of person.
Bonus: you can order food at a kiosk from next door's Nighthawk Kitchen.
