Its quick enough to get done, but I do wish that Lisbon had curbside pickup. Also, you pay for the service with a vehicle sticker, which is the same price yearly regardless how much household trash you make: a household of 8 people, or just one guy in a tiny apartment, same sticker. It also means I can't make trips on my bike with a trailer, or with a different vehicle, without another sticker. I can't imagine going daily in a large household, but I also can't imagine holding on to a dozen bags of trash until you have a day off to do it. Not in the Summer.
I have to say last year when I found out I was going to have to bring my trash to the dump I was a little weary but I actually like it better it's great just have to plan a day or two ahead to make sure I do not miss it .
Great staff. Always helpful. Make sure to have a current dump sticker and bring cash if you're bringing an item that cost money to dump. Would be nice if they took card
You put your trash here and recyclables. Staff is normally really friendly. If you have big items like a fridge or couch they cost around 10 bucks to get rid of there.
Not sure how give 5stars to a Solid Waste department. What makes a Solid Waste department better than others. The characters you meet?, The efficiency of service?, The ease of getting your solid waste from home to wherever it's final destination may be? One can only wonder. It's a sure and trusty part of my day off experience. I go to the dump, and life is good.
The staff is always very helpful. Saturdays seem to be getting really busy lately. If you're not a people or a crowd person on the weekends I recommend coming before you go into work during their days open.
