You know how it is trying to keep an aging car going in this economy, go in for one thing and they find 5 more things. What I like is they have pictures to support why they're recommending the other things and when you look at a whole list you were unprepared for and tell them what you can do and what has to wait, they just say ok. I was ready for a fight or some scare tactic to try to get me to buy every service but nope, they respected my budget and we got a few extra things done and I was on my way after a pretty short wait. I really appreciate the respect and I don't feel like they're trying to force unnecessary things on you. Like I said all the extra things they had on the list came with pics in the inspection report. It's a far better experience than other places I've gone to in BR so I'll be back when I can for the other things.
Customer service young lady was great. Prices for brake job was excessively high compared to other places. Almost as much as or more than dealership. Got good customer service from the young lady that helped me. Really all I was pleased with. Wait was really long.
The best honest deal around town. The manager Mr.Benny is the most knowledgeable person I have ever meet in this kind of business super down to earth and will go out of his way for customer service I am a fleet owner for a car rental company and he is the best I have ever dealt with in 10 years of running a car rental company. I don't care where I go in Louisiana for my company I will only use this location on the airline I promise you , you will not regret it. Super friendly service, the staff is amazing here I can go on and on but believe me this is where you want to be if you are in any kind of confusion for your vehicle they will fin the problem and make it happen to get it fix. The biggest thing that makes me love this location is honesty, integrity, and hospitality and Mr.Benny and his staff bring it all to the table for you.

Wasted my time and gas I had appointment for 11:00 to get tires I get there and the guy asked me if I was going to drop the car off I said no he said well there's three other people that has appointment the same time as me so we wouldn't be able to take it what's the point of having a appointment if they can't honor your appointment won't be going there again Don't waste your time

Great service and a good man! Bennie over at Pepboys off Airline know his stuff and got girlfriend and myself cars checked out. I came in with my battery dying on me and he was able to direct us to get the alternator fixed. Funnily enough my girlfriends car was giving us similar issues so we went there as well to get it checked. Bennie knew that the alternator would not be giving us issue on a car like hers, and he brought us out back to show us what the actual issue was. We got our problem solved right then and was able to drive off without a hitch. He is someone who knows what he is doing and cares about the work he does! Plan to go back if any issues arise in the future.
I just want to thank the manager, Annie, and the mechanic, Benny. My newly married daughter and her husband were heading across the country to check in at GAFB, and one of their cars broke down. Both Annie and Benny took care of them and helped them the way a father would hope people would treat your kids. We encountered a salesman who used misleading tactics to pressure me into buying more tires. He misrepresented Louisiana law by claiming it’s illegal to install only one replacement tire, without clarifying that the law actually concerns safety standards — not forcing customers to purchase multiple tires. This misstatement seemed intended to push me into buying extra tires I didn’t need. Always ask for the exact statute and get a second opinion before agreeing to major purchases.
I’ve brought several vehicles to Pep Boys over the years and they’ve always done a great job with my tires. They’re dependable, and I appreciate how many times they’ve gotten me back on the road with little hassle. Can’t speak for other places, because Pep Boys always done me right.

Beware of taking your car to Pep Boys Baton Rouge for repairs. We have recently had an experience which has been deceitful, unexpected and financially devastating.
We took our car (a 2012 Lexus Rx 350) to Pep Boys on a Sunday because we had flat tire and the Manager on duty said we needed to change the second front tire too- so we did, and the cost was $705.00.
In addition to changing the two front tires, he said it was worth finding out what was causing the tires to go bad and then came back and told us we needed to replace the two front stunts of the car. The estimate given to us was $1460.00 for this repair. We said we had to be somewhere that morning so we will think about it and return.
Because the manger kept emphasizing the need to take care of this problem to be safe, the car was now brought back for repairs on Wednesday by my spouse. We were now charged $1675.00 for the struts repair for which we had been given a prior estimate of $1460.00 a few days earlier. After picking the car up, we realized the car continued to make the same rattling noise it made before the tire went down- so it was still not safe to drive this car.
We too took the car back to Pep Boys and asked that they rechecked the stunts and ensure they were well repaired because the car was still not safe to drive.
At this time, the manager on duty-Mr. "B" as I choose to refer to him assigned a technician to drive the car and see what the issue was. Upon return from driving the car, the technician left us in the car and after waiting for 15minutes unattended, we proceeded to find out what the update was.
Mr. "B" then said he had told my husband the car had 4 more elements that needed to be repaired for the car to run well and that it was going to cost $5000.00 worth of repairs total. My husband said he did not recall having any such conversation with Mr. "B" and Mr."B" could not easily print the list of repairs with estimates he said he had given to my husband as this should have been under my husband's profile. I then asked Mr. "B" why he was recommending $5000.00 worth of repairs on car that was worth about $7,000.00 when the $5000.00 could easily go for the down payment of another car and he did not have much to say. In addition, why would Pep Boys in the same location provide two different estimates ($1460.00 and $5,000.00) for the same issue?
At the end of the day, we ended up with two different diagnoses on our car, spent $2400.00 at Pep Boys and are continuing to have the same issue and are now wondering what to do next. For the record, Pep Boys refused to correct the repairs or offer a refund and this by itself is quite unethical for a business.
BEWARE of how Pep Boys treats customers needing repairs for their cars as this could happen to you too.
On a Friday evening at 6 pm I noticed a nail in my tire. I called Mr. Bennie and he was more than happy to help me. Annie, who was working the desk was so pleasant! I was greeted with a smile and they had me all fixed up in under 30 minutes. This was my first experience with this business but it won’t be my last! Job well done and I found the store to be very clean! A huge shout out to Mr. Bennie, Annie, and Jarod for great and prompt service! Have a blessed weekend!!
Came in today to replace a battery terminal. Benny not only replaced it for me, he showed me how to do it myself. He went above and beyond for me. This was the best service I have every received, thank you for everything. Great bloke.
Outstanding experience! I drove a rental car to Baton Rouge from Oklahoma City with a very slow pressure leak in one tire. Eventually, it went flat. I couldn’t return to OKC on the spare. Avis directed me to Pep Boys and Bennie really took great care of me. The wait wasn’t as long as we thought it would be. He got right on it. Determined the tire needed to be replaced. Patiently waited in Avis to give him the go ahead and replaced it for me. I can safely return home thanks to Pep Boys! Thanks for a great experience

I was in from out of town to get a set of tires for an older vehicle so that I could drive it back home. They had what I was looking for in-stock and I was able to make an appointment ahead of time (making sure that my coming in to town was not a wasted trip). Greg was very friendly and helpful and there was plenty of communication to make sure everything was taken care of. The turnaround on the installation of the 4 tires was very quick.
If I am ever back in town and need a service that this Pep Boys provides, I would not hesitate to use them again.

Assistant store manager quoted wrong price on 4wheel alignment and once I handed the keys over , an estimate of 188 came back via text once I left the property. Original quote was 99.99 with them having the knowledge of the vehicle, make and model . No one called or updated the car status to notify me that the vehicle was ready. Also a shop fee is never mentioned. I don't mind paying the price but I rather store managers or just the business be upfront with the prices instead of the vehicle being left in their care and price changed unexpectedly. I would imagine the assistant store managers would be familiar with the price changes or could give an estimate before customer leave the vehicle if the customers asks the price . But I will say the assistant store manager had a great attitude and was friendly which is part of the reason I gave the business a try .

Decided to purchase another set of All-terrain tires at 40,000 miles to continue my comfort on and off the roads but wanting more if possible. Researched the Michelin LTX A/2 tires which carries a 4.9 rating across the board with a price to match its rating. Upon researching for a couple of weeks on this particular brand tire I was able to locate these tire via the web at Pep Boys. I reached out to them and got Mr. Benny on the phone. I explained to him what I was looking for and he indicated that he can have that particular tire in his store the next morning. We both agreed to go forward with the order. Received a phone call the next morning from Mr. Benny saying the tires were in his store awaiting for my arrival. I arrived to the store the following morning due to me living out of state and the tires were there. Mr. Benny’s service team swapped out the tires in record time without any damages to my rims. The customer service was so outstanding throughout the whole process, the price of the tires kinda slipped my mind. No worries. Pep Boys support Military which ease the pain at checkout. The tires are a 4.9 rating as advertised and the customer service is 5 Stars. Thanks to Mr. Benny and his TEAM. Job well done!!

We stopped at Pep Boys in Baton Rouge because of low tire pressure. We were told it would be a two hour wait because of work ahead of us. Our wait in the lounge didnt take that long when the guy came and told us a tiny screw caused the low pressure, they plugged the hole and didn’t charge anything! We are so appreciative for the fast friendly service. Thank God for good people in this world!
