Through Covid Alan and his team struggled to keep the garage open, but after rebranding and rebuilding with our great city we were able to become a family-owned business and help all of our customers. Do yourself a favor and take your business somewhere else, especially if you're a female. I cannot believe you guys were going to charge me almost 200 more than was actually necessary just to replace my battery. They literally quoted me $481 for JUST the battery replacement - not for towing, literally nothing else wrong with the car. They only brought it down to $295 after I told them not to do it & that I would get it done somewhere else. And on top of that, they held my car hostage with a $125 charge "for diagnostics and to put the old battery back in" if I decided to go somewhere else. But, if I just paid $295 for them to do it, they wouldn't charge that $125. I have to say, well played. If I could have gotten away with not giving them a cent, I would have.
This was a clear attempt to take advantage of me, and it makes me wonder how much they have highballed me in the past for other work I've had done here.
It's a shame, because in the past y'all have done good work on my car, and now that it's getting old things are starting to go wrong with it regularly. I would have kept coming here for future repairs if you had not so boldly attempted to squeeze me like that.
On top of that, the guy at the front counter has always rubbed me the wrong way. Robert, I believe. Multiple times I have noticed he speaks to me in an overly familiar way, mocking my tone and sometimes even teasing, not talking to me straight. I've sat in the shop while waiting for my car, and I've watched him talk to men normally, so he's clearly capable of talking to customers in a respectful and friendly way. Seems he chooses to operate differently with females. It's JUST BARELY passable as acceptable, and it's subtle, which is why I came back a few times, thinking, this place does good work, so I guess it's worth it to deal with this guy that clearly treats females differently; it's just a product of an older generation and I can be tolerant of that I suppose, yada yada. But, literally mocking my tone to my face ON TOP OF charging me almost twice as much as the work needed to be? Good riddance. Never taking my car here again, and I'll tell anyone I get the chance to tell not to come here either.

K & H to the rescue! I had car trouble on Friday of the Labor Day weekend. K & H took the car in, diagnosed the problem, and had me back on thee road in under three hours. Alan and Richard are the best...trustworthy, honest, professional, and fair with their pricing. I could not be more pleased and will definitely be back for all my auto repair and maintenance needs! A++++ experience.
Alan and his team were super nice when I brought my car in 30 minutes before close on a Saturday. Service was fast and reasonably priced! I'm glad to have discovered this shop!

Needed a new o2 sensor installed (P0037) and I brought in my own part (OE Denso part) and they changed a fair price for labor.

Steer clear of this place if you’re a woman who doesn’t know much about cars. I really liked them the first time they worked on my car, they kept me updated and explained everything thoroughly. Idk what happened when I went there the second time. The customer service this time was absolutely terrible. The older gentleman was extremely rude and condescending over the phone and in person. I waited in a silent shop while he typed on the computer without saying a word to me. I was sitting there waiting so long that a mechanic had to step in and help me. All I was doing was picking up my car.
Alan & Robert are the best!!! They took care of us with high quality service with really great customer service & great quotes for the whatever job needs to be done to our vehicles. Got the job done ASAP & Everything about them is a 10 out of 10. Highly recommend.
I had come a few times for minor issues. Then I had to get my car towed when it wasn't starting. Was nervous about doing that because every repair shop knows that it would cost money for someone to decline a repair and have it towed elsewhere, so they might try charging higher rates.
To my surprise, the cost was lower than expected. On top of that they got it on Friday afternoon, worked on it on the weekend, and had it back to me on Monday morning, AND the check-engine that has been on for months finally went away for more than a couple of days.
I had taken the car to other repair shops and they charged me higher rates and only made the check-engine warning go away for a day or two. Now, K & H will be my first call for any needed repair work. Thank you, K & H!
Staff very friendly and nice. Every time I called to check on the status of my very they were always willing to find . They called me on the days when I didn't call. Keith even brought me to work when I needed a ride. I will definitely go back for any others repairs I need
Awesome Mechanic! Very eager to help you get your vehicle back on the road. I took my vehicle to three mechanic shops and nobody could figure out what was wrong took it to Alan at K&H and same day I was back on the road .

Dealership used for my 2015 Sonic since the day I bought it. Spent $15,000.00 on repairs since warranty expired. Bring it in, they can't find the problem. Gets worse, then they find the problem(s). Last straw was them scanning and testing for 3 months with no answers. GM consult resulted in a recommendation to change the entire engine for 10,000.00. I refuse, pick it up and drive it to K & H, because I've been happy with their work on my '02 F-150.
$300 and an hour later, Jojo at K & H had it fixed, and no check engine light since. Been 3 months and a few thousand miles.
K & H is honest, trustworthy, extremely knowledgeable.
I never leave reviews BUT had to for this Auto repair shop. Best communication and service I've ever experienced with an automobile repair shop. Will be giving them my business moving forward

I’m not that knowledgeable when it comes to cars. I explained the sounds I was hearing to the best of my ability (probably were not good examples lol) but they still caught on and knew exactly what I was talking about. After they did the diagnostic they explained everything to me. I dropped the car off the following week and they were done in 2 days. My baby rides as good as new.

Excellent service! I needed my vehicle looked at an possibly serviced, dropped it off on a Friday morning an it was done by Saturday evening the next day. They was able to diagnose the problem an fix the issue in less than 2 business days, which is very awesome when it's your only means of transportation. They were very professional an pricing was honest an fair. If you in the Baton Rouge area an need a great honest mechanic shop then K & H Automotive is your place.
They fixed me up quick. Blew a radiator hose on i-10 pulled off on college and they were right there ready to help. It was more than I wanted to spend but they took care of me and quickly. No issues since.
My daughter’s car broke down next door to the repair shop. We received great service from the moment we walked into the door. They gave us the diagnosis, and a call later explaining the repair and cost. They got her in and out the same day. They have my business.

Every visit I've had at K & H has been wonderful! They are always so nice and get everything done in a timely manner. They have been so much help to me and I appreciate all they do.
I recently started going to K&H Automotive for all my vehicle needs and questions because they are honest and transparent which is rare when unknowledgeable females take their vehicles to auto shops. I initially took my vehicle for a second opinion because I was told my entire suspension front and back needed to be replaced, a $2500+ job. The problem was not initially identified as they found another issue. But I did bring it back a few weeks later as I continued to hear the weird rattling noise. The cost for the 2 issues totaled a little over $850. Also, they are the fastest shop I’ve ever been to. Same day appointments and they get my repairs done in one day, a few hours at that.
These guys are really friendly and efficient - they replaced an AC compressor a very old, very difficult car for me within a day, and at a decent price. Very clear communication throughout as well which was refreshing. Will be back here!

I’ve brought my vehicle to K&H several times over the past couple years and have always been satisfied with their services! I brought my car in recently for several issues and they fixed all of it by the next day. They don’t charge an arm and a leg and will get the job done right and efficiently. Very nice and honest people!
