They have always done right by me. Even when I asked then to look for additional work at my oil change after 50k miles, they told me all I needed was the oil change. Honest and good people.
Bought my car here in July they told me I needed a catalytic converter and a transmission mount that was $1,100. Car went out on me 2 weeks later they claimed I needed more mounts, that was $425. When I picked my car up and pulled out of the shops parking lot my car was literally still doing what I was doing before I brought it there. I called the shop they made me bring it back and claimed it was some coils. Meaning the mounts wasn’t what my car needed when I asked did they diagnose my car the young Latina girl at the desk said you had to ask for a DETAILED diagnostics which is what should’ve been done in the first place. Son not being you car here they don’t tell you what’s wrong with your car. My car hasn’t ran the same since I bought it to them in july
Don’t be fooled by the positive reviews — this is by far the worst mechanic shop I’ve ever dealt with. I brought my car in for a new rack and pinion, and when I got it back the same day, the steering was completely off. I immediately called and refused to accept it in that condition. When I brought it back, they tried to claim my alignment and suspension were the problem, but I know my car inside and out — I work on it myself, and I had never had those issues before. After their so-called ‘repair,’ the suspension was damaged, the assembly was wrong, and multiple sensors were messed up. Now, after just two days of having my car back, I can’t even drive it and I’m forced to pay another shop to fix their mistakes. This place cost me time, money, and unnecessary stress. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else. They can play you if you dont know anything about car but if u do know just know you will be on side of the road sooner rather than later. To make my point clear i wouldn’t let them do an oil change on a bike. Cheap towing though

We blew the head gasket of our 2018 Hyundai Elantra Sport. We called a lot of shops around our area, spoke with friends who are mechanics, and did a lot of research before deciding on whom to trust. We are incredibly happy with Velasquez Auto for their work, time frame, price, and most of all, for their understanding and compassion they showed towards our dilemma. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!!!!!!!The girl at the front desk has an attitude every time you call. They have dogs all over the property so when I got my car back after they had it for a month, I had scratches all over it from the dogs. And on my way home, the check engine light came on AFTER they “replaced the motor”. I asked the front desk lady on what to do and she suggested that I bring the vehicle back to them and let them diagnose it even though “it’s not our fault and you chose to get the motor from your warranty company”. I know for a FACT Velasquez was sent a brand new motor from Texas to complete this repair. Not to mention, they also split my ABS cable which caused my shocks in the front end to lock up. I ended up taking the car to Goodyear because at this point, Velasquez had completely lost my trust. The technicians at Goodyear, repaired the ABS issue but needless to say, Velasquez did not do anything to help me. They are money hungry and thieves. And my damned engine light is BACK ON not even 24hrs later.
I am so grateful to have found this place! This was my 2nd time getting serviced by them and prices are reasonable, customer service is always good, Henry is so patient, and they serviced my vehicle in the same day(I was willing to leave it over the weekend). Bring y’all cars here!
Mr. Henry is the only person I trust with my car repairs. His staff is wonderful and vey helpful. When my truck stopped, the tow truck service is coming to get me from wherever in BR in a timely manner.

It’s been over a month since I had my car repaired. I’m very thankful that I found Velasquez Auto. I spoke to Carlos and he listened to me!!!! Listening costs absolutely nothing!
I had my car towed from a so-called “reputable” dealership. I was told that my car was beyond repair. They supposedly changed my spark plugs and tested them with my coils which still did not resolve the issue. Plus, the costs to experiment on my car was racking up fees. I decided to have my car towed to Velasquez.
Velasquez performed another diagnostic and found that the spark plugs were never changed. After replacing my spark plugs and coils, my car started up and ran smoothly. It’s still running smoothly. It’s been a month!

I’ll definitely be going back if I ever have another car issue. I was quoted for almost $400 at Firestone for them to fix an issue that Velasquez fixed ( really quick ) for only $100.
Very Good Service. Carlos was very honest and informative about my Mom Mrs Annie's vehicle on yesterday. And the alignment was very affordable and timing was amazing. Carlos still serviced Mrs Annie which came from out of town on yesterday evening and she was still out before dark. So if you need any work done on your vehicle this is the place you want to go and ask for Carlos.

I’m really happy with my service at Velasquez ,My car had a check engine light on and started leaking,Velasquez got it fixed fast and was very affordable. I also really appreciated them explaining what was wrong and what they were going to do to fix it. Often times as a woman mechanic shops don’t bother explaining anything which really sucks so i really appreciates that at Velasquez ,Will definitely take my vehicle there for maintenance, etc.

My jeep wrangler was done right now I have no issues.
To all those who the same issues I have which my jeep was overheated only if I past over 3000RPM.if it’s in park will not and I get on the Highway if I go past 3000 RPM it will go past the half in till it gets to the 3/4 then i slow down a little and it go back to half.
That was my issue I tried everything from radiator thermostat lines I’m talking about everything you can think of waste a lot Money
I took it to those guys and they have it done.yah the owe me some money but Henry

My 16 ft box truck broke down in baton rouge on my way to Miami. I looked up a couple mechanics near by and decided to give Velasquez auto repair a chance. I need a new transmission. They replace my transmission at a fair price and within a couple days. I'm extremely satisfied with there service. Give them a chance they won't disappoint you!
I was having some car issues and had to tow my car to the automotive shop I normally use. Henry (the owner) got my car hooked up extremely quickly and gave me a ride with my car. He was very sweet and patient with directions. He even made sure I had a safe ride home before he left. I will definitely be visiting this business again. It’s been an incredibly rough day and Henry was amazing. Super fast and friendly service.
THIS PLACE DOES NOT DESERVE ANY STARS, IT DIDN'T EVEN DESERVE MY POST BUT PEOPLE NEED TO KNOW...!!! This has to be the WORST place to take your vehicle.. I took my truck to get my motor replaced & my vehicle WAS NOT properly put back together.. when I took it back they told me my radiator was busted but it WAS NOT.. They jus overfilled my power steering fluid & it started overflowing.. when I went to pick up my vehicle I was told it was out of gas & they couldn't get it to start even tho it started & I had gas in it when they TOWED it from my house..!! It's no way these people kno what they are doing..
They gave me a reasonable price on work; done within a reasonable time.
No unexpected "fixes".

My car sounded like a Harley Division motorcycle a few days ago. My local shop recommended Velasques. My mechanic said:" you can either go to dealer or try Velasques first. I heard a lot good comments on them."
I went there on Saturday and Henry (I guess he is the owner of that place) told me to come back on Tuesday when ordered part arrive. I went there today (Tuesday) and within a hour the problem was fixed.
I understand people usually talking about problems in detail but not always taking time to say good words.
I want say thank you again and I will bring my car to Velasquez for all my auto care needs in future.
