They did an excellent job. Everything was handled quickly, and the car feels perfect now. The people there were easy to work with and made the whole thing simple.

After going to 2 places in Ruston who absolutely knew nothing about being a true mechanic shop, called Mr. T.J. and took an hour drive and within an hour Mr. Dax had my truck ready to take an 11 hour ride! HANDS DOWN the BEST SHOP I have been to in forever!
Only place I take a vehicle to now. Oil change may take longer than "quick" places but I know they did it properly and no one is in my face trying to "upsell" air filters, wipers, or other things I didn't ask for.
Unlike another local Garage, this one didn't tell me I "had to have" sensors replaced... when all I requested was an oil change. Since when did Code Reading get added to an oil change?
They have a wait for a reason, the work is good and the prices are fair. It has been a while since I found a shop with guys that can diagnose by ear not just reading codes off a machine.

Diagnostic cost was good and affordable, found the issue with my car. Pulled up to the parking lot and my car windows were left open though. (It had rained the last 2 days) also left garbage bag and some other things in my car.
I evacuated Baton Rouge due to Hurricane Ida. When I got to Shreveport, my brakes failed. I brought my van in the next morning, they diagnosed the problem, and they said that it could be fixed the same day! I can now get back to my house (or what’s left of it) tonight! I will be eternally grateful to the kind and wonderful folks at Southern Automotive. God bless you all!

I have an 04 ford excursion that needed ball joints. I took in to Southern Automotive to have the work done. No problems at all! It was done on time, (I was wanting it done before we went on a trip, so that was important.) and the price was very fair! Anything else I have need of, I will be taking it to Southern.
My van was repaired on time and at the estimate that was given. TJ and Mrs. Jimmie are great to work with. I will be going back if I have any other vehicle problems.
