⭐ If I could give 0 stars, I would. This company is a scam. They accept roadside assistance orders instantly, but never show up. Every time, the driver is “3 hours away” and then the ETA gets pushed back another 2+ hours. I placed an order at 9 PM last night and after waiting all night, they still never came. I had to cancel 5 times, and each new order still got sent back to them.
They waste your time, stall for hours, and take money without providing any service. They advertise 24/7, but it feels like it takes 25 hours for nothing. Absolutely the worst roadside company I’ve ever dealt with. Reporting to BBB and roadside assistance.
Absolute worst towing company I’ve ever worked with. Sat on the roadside for over 7 hours. I paid my fee with a credit card at 7:30am and immediately got a text that it would be 9:45 to 10:30 which I thought was ridiculous but oh well. I called the company multiple times throughout the day. They kept telling me 45 more minutes and other excuses. Finally the truck got to us around 3:00pm. The driver who is a contractor for Tow Masters was good. He said he just got the call. The dispatch lied all day long. Avoid this company at all costs.
Tempted to give one star just because of the dispatch operator. She's incompetent, unprofessional, rude and should get another job. I would recommend Walmart greeter but obviously not qualified for that. The tow truck driver Andrew was late probably due to being on another job.But, If I could rate him I'd give him 5 star other than being really late. He was very kind and professional and took care of us. The dispatcher just made a bad situation worse with her ridiculous attitude and lack of sympathy.
Will over charge and call you the N word ..... fat screaming. Man was nasty. Think he was out drunk and I disturbed him with the early morning call at the truck stop
(Called at 1245)...vehicle dropped off at 6...Timing issues...received 4-5 messages telling me driver 5 min out...2 hrs later driver shows up with the wrong tow truck...(nobody told him I was in a big truck...even though i gave all that information upfront) 30 min later 2nd driver shows up....everything good after that.
On 10/28/2023 I called for a tow through my insurance company. My front passenger wheel had detached. I needed a tow back home which was about 3 minutes away. I was told my tow would take approximately 60 minutes through a text message. After 45 minutes of waiting I called to get an ETA. The dispatcher told me that my service was canceled because her driver got a police call in Bossier and he was getting off at 8:30 pm. I explained to her I had been waiting a long time and no one informed me or my insurance company of the change. The dispatcher told me she had been trying to get in contact with the driver to standby. She also told me she had to uncancel the service call and reschedule. She told me in about 30 to 40 minutes someone should be there. I waited an additional 25 minutes. The driver was rude he did not speak nor did he say anything to me. He looked at my car, took a few pictures and began to let down the bed of his truck. He looked underneath my car to find a spot to hook. He found a spot on the driver side. He comes back to the passenger side and connects the hook behind my rotor. I asked him, " If it was safe to hook right there?" He said "it was fine" As he began to drag my car up the bed of the tow truck, my car slipped backwards twice. The chain apparently kept getting caught the driver kept yanking the chain to straighten it out. He attempted the third time pulling my car up the back of the truck the chain snapped from underneath my car causing my car to be slung into the curb busting my rotor completely. The driver then says, well your car is already messed up so it doesn't matter" I told the driver "Please do not insult me" "I waited for a long time to have more damage to my car this isn't cool at all" I called the company immediately after the damage was done. The dispatcher told me she doesn't have another driver on duty for the night. This resulted in me having to wait another 90 minutes for another tow company. I was told my name would be passed along to someone on Monday to file a claim with the company. I am very disappointed with my service. My heart is broken because now I have more damage to my car.
I would not recommend using this tow company at all. I had to use this company by default cause they were assigned by my Roadside Assistance. This company chose to take my car to their car lot after the car shop I told them to take it to could not service my car. Instead of calling me and letting me know, they decided upon themselves to take it to their car lot and they refuse to bring it to my house as requested. It is not my fault they did not contact me before taking it to their lot. I did not authorize for them to take the car to their lot. So the dispatcher told me she would call me back to see what they could do and she never did. So I called again, no answer. But when I called from a separate phone number she answered immediately, just to tell me I need to pay out of pocket or contact Roadside Assistance again for them to bring it. Even though it was their mistake! I then contacted my Roadside Assistance about this matter, and they reached out to them. This company lied and told them that I refused to pay a “overage fee” and that’s why they took it to their lot. I was NEVER notified of any charge. They only notified me once they moved the car already. Also, Roadside Assistance said there should’ve never been a charge anyway, since the service was covered. This place is so unprofessional, I would give zero stars if I could. Do NOT use this company!
They have charging policies in place that take advantage of people in tough situations. We had a double blow out on the same side of a tandem axel boat trailer late at night. We were quoted $993 for a heavy duty tow. Two or three hours later the TowMasters arrived and it became apparent that our trailer and boat with a hardtop was going to be too tall once on the tow trailer and that the plan was to tow us to a business that was closed and unable to accept our trailer and boat. For the safety of our boat we declined the tow plan and were charged 50%… that’s almost $500! I expect to pay for the time of the driver and equipment he brought out but that charge was excessive when we had legitimate safety reasons to decline the service.I’d recommend calling Mericles Towing instead. He was straight up honest and said it was not something safe or legal to do and our best option was to wait until morning for tire service.
Even though I didn’t use tow masters cause my nephew showed up to help, the lady Jennifer Pawlik was very helpful and courteous to my needs, if I get into another bind , I definitely will be calling her back. Thanks
