I don't understand what everyone else is talking about I called them for a tow my car broke down 9n the side of I65 and it only took them less than a hour to show up when he did get there he helped me look at the car and explain what was going on with it so when I got to the shop I let them know what he had said turns out he was right on it saved me a lot of time and money I had this same problem once before and never got it right thanks to Coffey's I am driving it still without any issues and that was a couple months ago I would definitely recommend them to any of my friends and family there the best

He does more than just towing your prize possession. He does excellent tire changes and the first time he came out and gave me a jump. The last time I called him he put an alternater on my truck. So if your car has a flat or won't start then Keith is your man.

Awful. Was told two hour wait. Then three hour wait. Then they would be there in 10 minutes. Then I was told they couldn’t give a time but were getting another driver and he would there when he got in. Then I was told I should just call someone else because she couldn’t find her guys. This was via Hertz roadside assistance too. We finally called someone on our own - they were there in 30 minutes and said it was ridiculous we waited four hours. That is not a proper way to do business.

This company is the worst. They gave me an ETA of 90 minutes, were extremely rude to me on the phone (3 different people), and didn't show up for 4 hours. They showed up with the wrong towing equipment even though I explained my car needed a flatbed due to the rear tire being busted.

This nasty, horrible, inefficient, and rude company should not get a penny of your business. They delayed service for hours until the shop was closed and (due to my boyfriend needing to go to work) I couldn't be with my car for pick up. When I complained that today was my daughter's 10th birthday and was entirely wasted, the manager mocked me and said that wasn't important. When I called back, she intentionally placed me on hold and kept me there as i had several friends call and ask questions and no one else was placed on hold. DO NOT USE!

Company is a HORRIBLE!!! Been waiting since 4 o’clock yesterday for a Tow of 5 miles. Call Reps lack a plethora of communication variables. If you converse with a lady named Edna you might as well hang up and wait until a shift change to communicate with some else, she’s very argumentative and will flabbergast about returning calls as well as other things. Horrible experience.

Never got there. This is after 6 plus hours of waiting and excuses and lies by the second customer service lady took over. The first lady was actually very polite and nice and even apologetic. Second lady not so much. After reading these reviews I don't understand how MeinekeRewards does business with this towing company. It's embarrassing.

They don't even deserve a 1 star. This business is on their last leg. I don't even know whether to call it a business or a scam. I called them at 6 PM to have a car towed, and they never showed up. I called them several times to get updates on where they were, and at one point they said one of their drivers got in a wreck, so they only had one driver. Then when I called again, at 11:00 pm, FIVE HOURS LATER, she told me that I was up next, but come an hour later, I still did not have my car, and when I tried calling them to get an update, they did not answer their phone. I can be forgiving of situations where they are understaffed, but that's no excuse, because I called another towing service (Leo's Towing and Recovery) since Coffey's never showed up for me, and not only do they just have one driver, but they also stay busy and had several other jobs lined up, but they still had my car to me in only 30 minutes. So I can only hope this business is shut down.

Waiting...waiting...waiting. Almost 5 hours. Called 3 times and they forgot who we were, and kept saying for us to find another wrecker service. You’ ll be sorry to use this company. Rude rude rude.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I had an appointment at Meineke for 2:30. I called their roadside assistance line to schedule a tow and was told that they’d scheduled one and would send the info. At 1:15, I got a text saying that Coffey Towing was the provider coming to get the car and that they would be to my location within 75 minutes (by 2:30). At 2:30 I called Coffey Towing to get an estimated timeframe, and was told it would be 20 minutes. At 2:58, Meineke roadside assistance called to confirm I had been helped. When I told them I still hadn’t seen the tow truck, they placed me on hold and called Coffey. Coffey told them that there was heavy traffic (there wasn’t) and that it would be 20 minutes. At 3:46, I called Coffey back and told them that they needed to give me a realistic timeframe. She said that they’d had to dispatch a different truck from Nalley Ln and that it would be 10 minutes. I live in the 40218 area, and google maps showed the timeframe between my location and that street was a minimum of 25 minutes. The truck FINALLY showed up at 4:25. When he put the car on the truck, he put the front tires in the lift and raised it and then drove off without strapping or chaining the car down. Luckily we were only going a couple miles because there’s no way the car would have made it any further in one piece. As it is, he had to stop twice to get the car back up on the lift on the way to the shop. I ended up (obviously) missing my appointment and had to reschedule for tomorrow. I will never use this company again. I’d rather push my car.

I'd give zero stars but that was impossible. This company was dispatched by my insurance company to pick up my vehicle on I-64 eastbound 1 mile past the Waddy-Peytona exit. Hazard lights blinking on an f250 pick up truck and it took them 7 hours... SEVEN HOURS to deliver my truck to Louisville. It wasn't totaled or upside down in a ditch. It had a flat tire. My vehicle was completely missing and in the care of COFFEYS TOWING for 7 (SEVEN) hours. What were they doing??????? What kind of business is this and what kind of people run a business like this! DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE WITH HAULING OUT YOUR TRASH, much less your vehicle!!!! Terrible customer service as well! The woman on the phone has the phone etiquette of someone very uneducated! No tact at all!!! And then they still had the nerve to charge us $49 after losing my vehicle FOR 7 HOURS! No way I'd ever recommend these folks to anyone. And we own 4 vehicles. I would push my trucks home before I'd ever call this company! Update!!!!!!! As we picked up our vehicle last evening from the shop or coffees finally dropped it off after seven hours we realize why it took them so long they obviously dropped it off of the wrecker in someway because the entire back quarter panel is bent which they explain to us the tire did when I came off the rim which is not what happened at all it's plain to see that the corner of it has been dropped on to something and was not hit Buy a piece of rubber. The only thing that could do that type of damage is concrete or steel not a piece of rubber flying off otherwise everyone would be in the body shop once their tire went flat!!! Unbelievable !!!!

Absolute RUDEST customer service. Whoever I spoke to was very unprofessional and had an attitude the entire time. Didn't get a call when the car had been picked up like I asked.

They left my employee on the side of the highway for 4 hrs Telling him eta 60 mins but you can leave you vehicle who want to leave their vehicle with all the break in Please reconsider if you need a towing service This is a safety issue

Lets start off with Never Use Coffeys Wrecker!!! .... I was in a minor car accident last night, only to leave for work this morning at 7:30 and my car wont start and the keys are stuck in the ignition. I contacted USAA insc, and they were fantastic, to file my claim. They ordered a tow truck Coffeys and said it would be here at 9:53, when they still had not arrived I called. The woman that answered, I explained my concern and she became immediately hateful and told me to just leave my car...I explained several times the keys are stuck in the ignition...she said so and still insist I just leave it. I asked for a supervisor, because she had been hateful from the moment she answered the phone, and she said she is the supervisor. I then explained I was going to contact my insc and let them know how I was being treated she said "ok F@$% you" and hung up on me.

Waited 4 hours and 20 minutes. Worst experience of my life. The driver didn’t yield to oncoming traffic and almost killed us. They had no gps which explained getting lost 3 times and couldn’t find me. I could have pushed it the 1.5 miles in 4 hours. Truck was filthy and appeared like it would fall apart if it hit a good pothole.

Called 6:42 pm liberty mutual used them to tow my car ETA 8:12 well that time came and went I clef LB they said running 30 minutes behind I called back to LB and they said truck stuck behind a power line. Screw this company and liberty mutual for using them. Its 12am and I'm still stranded.

Got into accident have waited over 6 hrs for a tow truck and they still have not arrived. Was told 2 hrs, after 2 hrs they said 15 mins. 6hrs in and still NO ONE. Would not recommend.

Great I don't know what people are complaining about broke down Sunday around 3pm didn't feel like waiting 2hrs for the tow truck so they let me leave the key in it and go about my day about 5pm got a call he picked it up couple hrs later parked it in my drive on the other end of town for about $100 paid over the phone great company people these days are ridiculous if they think this is a one star company

Rude would be an understatement to describe Edna with Coffey towing! This woman was demeaning and disrespectful to my elderly neighbor. When I called back to complain, she cursed and hung up on me. I think an insurance company as prestigious as State-farm should rethink using a company that has no respect for their customer base; it is appalling to me. I will be filing complaints with the BBB, State-farm and any other entity that I can. DO NOT USE COFFEY'S TOWING !!

Do NOT use this towing company!! I was literally right around the corner from them and it took 3 hours for a tow truck to get to me!!! Every time I called they said it would just be another 30 minutes but it took 3 hours!!

Wonderful service. Was told by all the other three companies it would be up to 2 hours. I broke down on 65 in the middle of the day, had to pee, had a phone that was dying And was freaking out. The lady on the phone was very nice and a little confusing but obviously trying to help. The tow guy showed up in 30 mins, was very polite, informative and friendly. He even helped me step over the guardrail to get out of the way of traffic. I would recommend these people over the 5 star companies for sure, I got no response from the others for HOURS.

Coffey's Towing on Poplar Level Road has the worst customer service I've ever seen. They quoted us one price and in the next breath gave another price for the tow. In addition, we made an appointment for them to tow our car and they never showed up. What the heck!! Avoid this company or waste your day waiting for them to come tow your car.

OVERPRICED AND WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE HAD!!!! I totaled my car on a Friday evening and had them tom the car to their lot. I wanted to have them tow the car to a salvage lot the following Monday morning and schedule a time when we could be there together so I could pay them in full. They completely refused and demanded I come in and pay cash the amount due before they would release the vehicle. Terrible service, do not use!

On Septemeber 15, 2012, I engaged the services of Coffey's Towing (Louisville, KY). My vehicle was disabled on the west bound side of Gene Snyder Freeway, approximately .5 miles from exit 23. I was told that my wait time would be one hour. In the midst of this my mother came to stay with me so that I could sit in her vehicle to avoid any dangers of the freeway. At two hours into the wait we called the Coffey's dispatcher to get an updated ETA. We were told it would be 20 more minutes. 30 minutes beyond that call, we recieved a call from the tow truck operator. He was obviously aggitated and appeared to be lost. There are 2 sides of Gene Snyder Freeway. The directions that were given were clear, as well as consise. When the driver finally arrived, he exited the vehicle screaming obscenities, above any acceptable decibel rate. He was very upset, claiming that he had been up and down said highway and could not locate us. He got within 3 feet of my mother and screamed at her that we had said we were on the opposite side of the road, flailing his arms at her at very uncomfortable distances and threatening manners. This all took place after a 2 hour wait, mind you. He slung the chains on the car abruptly in very tantrumatic ways. After getting the car onto the flat bed crooked (complete right side) he drove 10-20 miles over speed limit repositioning car to the complete left side when we finally arrived at the shop. He dropped the car abrasively and left without giving us any paper work to sign. We were never rude, nor vague to the driver. His actions seemed to come out of nowhere. I have never seen customer service be so disrespectful. It was a horrible experience. My mother is a soft spoken 60 year woman who should never feel threatened by a lost tow truck driver who is over 2 hours late, and is supposed to provide help.

Like many other reviews have said, super late. It has been over an hour since they were supposed to get me, on top of an hour wait. Sitting in the parking lot with my immobile vehicle. Good thing I'm not in a hurry.
