Love this place for old and hard to find architectural pieces. Wide price range. Limited street parking. Slightly rougher part of town. Lock car.

Wow! Lots of overpriced items. Grossly overpriced. Sweet kitty uses the basement showroom as its litter box.

I didn't want to leave. Very interesting and would love to go back again.

A great place to find those unique or "hard to find" items. Also, a great place to sell items. Thanks

Amazing collection of things you didn't know you needed until you got there. Four buildings of pure joy!

Huge selection of antiques! I didn’t get the name of the gentleman who worked there, but he was very friendly and informative about the place. I will definitely be back!

This place was cool. Went with my brother who's remodeling a cool older house near old louisville. Found some stuff I thought would be pretty awesome. Seemed expensive til I realized everything most be priced by the pound bc its all heavy as sin too

Prices are absolutely insane BUT it is a great opportunity for those trying to preserve Louisville in the best and accurate way, historically, to choose this shop. You name it they have it. They care about integrity of the history of the culture here. It is way bigger than it seems. I got lost on a couple of occasions! If you can't afford to buy things there, like myself, I would suggest just going to see beautiful items and getting a little lost for a mental health break. They even have a hidden koi garden. Who knows, maybe you will find a gem there that you just can't pass up.

I love this place. They are so helpful. I went in to find 4 sets of matching brass doorknobs and two employees spent 2 hours helping me find them. They have a great selection of doors too at decent prices with a good amount in stock.

Lots of amazing finds here. Lots of doors and door hardware, especially. If I were getting a new door, I would come here before going to a home improvement store. FYI, there is no A/C, so if it's hot, be prepared to sweat a little.

Love the place both for purchases and sales. I kept some old doors from a remodel....i couldn't bring myself to get rid of them for years but it's been too long. Brought them here and got a great price. I didn't know this until someone told me recently. I'll definitely be back when i find more antique things that arent worth selling.

Huge spaces full of anything you might need to detail your vintage home. Everything from door knobs, to trim, to register grates, old doors and so so much more. Kitties roam around the building, adding to the character. Loved exploring this place !

This place is awesome to say the least. It is comparable to a library or museum that displays some of the finest architectural items to be seen in one place. The craftsmanship and in some cases the engineering that was applied to these great pieces i applaud the creators of such works of art and to the owners for providing a place to shop for unique items to lace a property or building. I will be spending a lot of time and money at this gem!

If you love the beauty of historical architecture and unique antiques, you'll love this place. It also has some amazing reproductions you won't find anywhere else. A remarkable place. Make sure you carve out enough time to enjoy it.

The place is huge and has a little bit of everything. Mostly really good quality. If you own an old home the will have a replacement wherever that matches your homes style.

This is a super neat place! Such a myriad of treasures to find. My mom was on the hunt for an old door and the fella in the door room offered help immediately upon our arrival and mom found a few different options that fit within her vision.

This place is wonderful if you're in to old houses, local history, antiques, etc. I've been in a lot of places like this and honestly this is the best one I've been in. What sets this place apart is the effort the staff has taken to organise the seemingly daunting amount of materials in stock. Very impressive and a true local gem.

Was looking for a vintage brass door knob and they fulfilled my needs, friendly staff, great inventory for vintage pieces and fair prices

This place is breathtaking. If you're interested in antiques, whether whole pieces of furniture, lighting, indoor or outdoor items, or pieces and parts to complete your perfect project, you will find it there, at a competitive price. If they don't have what you want, you either don't need it or didn't really know what you were looking for

Not many words that can begin to explain this place or the shopping experience other than saying it is Absolutely Amazing. Wow. Just wow!!! Hours could be spent here and I doubt that everything would be seen in one trip. Prices may appear to be high at first sight but they will negotiate on most items if not all. The owners are surprisingly humble and extremely friendly. The staff is extremely helpful and went out of their way to help us find exactly the item that we had been searching for. (Unique and very hard to find) great experience and can't wait to return

I have been coming here for years for parts large and small for my old buildings. Last time I needed some sconces for my Victorian house. Dug around a while and found just what I needed for $15 for the pair. After some time with the sandblaster, some paint, a new wiring they look great. Went today in search on an 94 1/2 exterior door. All doors in the door shop we're pre labeled on the spine with dimensions and style. I was shown to a 95" five panel door and instructed on the best way to trim it to fit. Out the door with the door and mortise lock for about $100. It's a great place to get lost. They leave you alone unless you need help and in that case are glad to offer it. Don't be afraid to haggle. Don't insult them with low balls, but don't be afraid to haggle. One of the best salvage houses around in my opinion. Worth my 1.5 hour drive every time.

This store is phenomenal. I needed what I thought was a really obscure floor vent for my house. The owners of the store knew exactly what I was talking about and took me to an area where he had at least 100 different floor vents of various sizes. I bought a beautiful vent that didn't fit and it took me three tries to get one that fit. It cost significantly less money than my original which they credited back to me. This store is full of really cool and unique fixtures. If you are rehabbing your house or doing some work you need to check this place out.

This place is amazing if you are looking to buy some unique pieces for your home or garden. With that having been said, as a seller you might want to be where. The owner has the personality of a river rock and will not hesitate to insult your items for what reason I do not know. I brought in a truck full of antique brass fixtures, Stone garden decor, doors, etcetera. And after a quick glance without even picking one thing up, proceeded to tell me that I have brought him a bunch of flea market stuff and that he is not interested. Definitely will not be doing business here anytime soon.

Rooms and rooms of wonderful things to look at. Friendly shop cats patrol the area.

I have to say, everyone at this business is knowledgeable and considerate. They really listen to you then offer solutions. My wife and her mother have dealt with them for decades, but yesterday was my first experience with the company. They are on my short list of sources for unique and quality items for my home.

These are the most polite, helpful, patient and kind people I believe I have run into in the business world in a long time. Their selection is staggering, the quality just awesome...it's just a treasure chest for those who love restoring, or just shopping. The prices were pretty reasonable, much better than most any other place in town. A MUST SEE! :)
