Tell me where else you can find dandelion jelly? It's a LOT of work to make, so very rare and usually quite expensive. I found a pint jar of dandelion jelly here, for about $15 if memory serves. Absolutely, positively, unequivocally the BEST jelly I've ever spread on bread! Like a mouthful of sunshine!
They also have a wide selection of homemade treats! Taffy, pies, donuts, you name it they've probably got it!
Do be careful of expiration dates though. I also purchased 2 jars of pickled eggs, while my uncle bought 1. Mine were just fine, very tasty. However, when my uncle opened his he had to let his house air out for more than a day! The sulfur smell was neigh unbearable.
A truly delightful journey of nearly 2 hours. Their variety of baked goods, fresh deli meats and cheese is enough to satisfy anyone's tastes. The choices of grocery items is surprisingly large as well. It's a long winding trip for us, but well worth it. We will be back!
It is a great discount grocery place with a wide variety of items. Bakery is wonderful! Just be careful as it is a 'salvage' some items are beyond expiration date - very cheap but I didn't realize it when I bought them.
This store is fantastic. The bakery has some of the most savory, buttery goods I have ever had. The deli meat is tasty no matter what you get, and the groceries are fresh with things I have not seen since childhood, like cornmeal mush. The salvage part is still tricky for me working with the expiration dates.
I love this place. I drive 40 minutes each way once a month to shop there.. Their deli and bakery are top notch as well. They are extremity humble and polite. I don't think they actually realize that in this day and age what they are doing is a public service, at the very least, a public kindness. Most folks cannot grow their own food as they do and are dependent upon national food retailers to survive, literally. Under the current climate of society and economics, times are very hard for a great many people. Thanks to them our food budget goes twice as far as it would of we shopped anywhere else. Amazing place. We got homemade sandwiches that tasted amazing. They even use homemade sourdough bread. All of their items are fairly priced and we never leave without a full cart. We love Amish Country!
This place is the best Amish grocery/deli/bakery I have ever had the pleasure of shopping at and it’s only 30 mins away from me! If I had a $1,000 to blow on groceries this would be the place to spend it! The food is always delicious and well prepared. The workers are dedicated to what they do. I appreciate the service.
Grew up near Lancaster, this is very similar to the BBs Grocery Outlets there, though a bit more expensive. Outside of some staple items like milk, eggs, an amazing selection of bulk dry goods, and deli meats, you never really know what you'll find there, but whatever it is, it'll be way cheaper than anywhere else! Watch the expiration dates if you care, but also remember most expiration dates were not written with actual food safety or taste in mind. I could complain that it's not as cheap as BBs, but realistically nowhere I've seen is, and this comes the closest to capturing that feeling. I also highly recommend anything out of the bakery, especially the fudge!
Very nice selections. You have to know your prices. Alot of the time they are OVER PRICED compared to local stores. I don't know where they get there prices from but they are higher than most retail stores. But they do price some of their merchandise with in reason. I thought that being Amish they would be fairly priced but not in some cases they are more than Walmart. Friendly staff always available to help. Prices were my only negative comment and thought here. They used to be great prices and we shopped there alot now we have to comparatively shop.
We stumbled upon R&S a couple years ago on our trip back from Louisville. I saw the sign that said “Amish Bakery & Grocery” and we had to stop. They always have an amazing selection and for the most part, their prices are great and it’s worth the trip.
My first visit, so I didn't know what to expect. I heard about their bake goods and seems like a good selection. Clean store, very plain as expected. If you live nearby, this probably offers a good convenience. Check the expiration, best used by, dates. I don't see a bargain in expired products. Regular products are available, but not cheaper than other stores. If you want deli products to be cut, signs tell you to order when you first arrive as they are busy in that area. They do have electric cash registers and credit card readers (but our checkout had trouble processing). It is a quaint, out of the way , business. Go for the bake goods and they have plenty of variety on other merchandise. I just wouldn't make a special trip.
I went 2 days straight. So many categories to shop here. I got big boxes of jerky sticks, dark chocolate bars (10 for 3 dollars), specialty flour and Ezekiel bread (3.49 a loaf) freshly made!

Stopped here after seeing the sign on I-65. The store is soo much bigger inside. Super clean! The bakery was amazing. I tried the original glazed Donuts and did disappoint! Would love to try everything the next time we stop by.
Update: Feb 2023. Prices are now absurdly high here. No reason to go here vs Dollar General, Walmart, etc. In my experience, most items will cost less at those stores.
On-site bakery and deli. Fantastic sourdough bread baked fresh. Fresh donuts, pies and cookies. Large selection of deli meats and cheeses by the pound. Fresh eggs and produce in season. Go here. Get a sandwich. You won’t be disappointed.
