The property owners of Joe Bologna's, Kaufmann properties clearly have no idea what they are doing in terms of the parking situation over at Joe Balognas and Cinco De Mayo. We were eating there in Cinco de mayo costumes and got our car towed despite all signs saying if you're eating at Cinco you can park there. I told the rude man that works at Bluegrass tow this over the phone. He continued to argue with me saying Joe Balognas owns the lot and I can't park there unless I have a permit. Attached are several cars that didn't have permits. The machine was broken.. see picture attached.. Attached are also the signs.. They share a parking lot with Cinco De Mayo and another establishment there. We came to this establishment to eat at Cinco Di Mayo with our friends from out of town, who accidentally went to locos tacos across the street. We passed the schluby parking lot attendant, who apparently had been hired since the machine was broken. As him and the tow truck driver actively parked there, were chatting together, we passed them in our Cinco di mayo Halloween costumes, zorro and day of the dead. We passed them as they said nothing. We crossed the street to get our friends at local tacos, and literally two minutes later we came back to our car to get money and go inside to eat, when our car was gone. Do not go to eat here because you will not have your car when you leave, and will be out 137 dollars for a tow fee. The signs are posted that you can park there for both restaurants but clearly thats not the case, and even if it were, the machine is broken and the attendant gets some kind of kickback for getting cars towed. money trap. We will not be eating here not Cinco de Mayos in the future, on principle. Apparently the establishment/property owner's solution was to hire some shlub to sit in a chair and point at cars to tow, the minute people exit their cars, without finding out what they're doing, or assisting anyone, while chatting up the tow guy who literally sits there waiting like a vulture. Moneytrap. Do not go to eat there. Just stay in and order door dash and keep the tow fee. Bluegrass as far as I'm concerned illegally stole my vehicle since I was a paying customer and the signs say I can park there. I guess its covid though and everyone is getting desperate. Its unfortunate that this business is ran by what sounds like on the phone, a bunch of misogynistic, rude, and disrespectful men who basically didn't even want to hear what I had to say and didn't even want to see my proof. Im attaching it here. Also, they left our car unlocked at the tow yard. Could have had everything stolen. Incompetent hacks.
When you call to have cars towed for invalid parking they never show up. Have called then maybe 9 times for parking issues. Only showed up 1 time. I would advise choosing someone else to manage properties because was also told they would check the lot every so often. Never seen them 1 time.
People were nice, requirements to get things from my wrecked vehicle were clear. They rolled windows for me after towing. Couldn't ask for more.
