Though I never stayed in the resort I have a little home near it and this simple life, connecting with nature enjoying the picturesque scenery that brings peace to life.
I love the people they are so nice, it's getting a facelift, an the water is great.. new walkway going into the store hit water today... Come see all the nice people and catch some of those huge fish.. update the store has been redone all the roofs on the docks have been painted new lockers put in.. the shoreline looks amazing the motel has been painted the shop has been redone an overall up-and-coming place.
It's been 3 years since a storm destroyed this place and they still aren't back up to full service. Makes me wonder what they did with the insurance money.
Sad to see a place go downhill, but it is what's happening. An aging marina with very little upkeep already, storms tore it up 2 years ago and made it worse. Very little has been repaired since the storms; gotta ask where the insurance money went. 1 whole section is still detached from the main dock, and the main walkway is a shambles. No fuel service either.
Wish they would sell it to someone who will gut it and start over, make it really nice again like Sunset or the others.
I took these photos 1/15/2023. In 2020 or 2021 a bad storm came through and the bridge to the slip where our boat is on the water fell in the water and was gone! The staff kindly moved our slip right next to the Marina which was great! Then in late 2022 another storm came through and busted up the walkway to the Marina. I went today to see what the status might be in the Spring when we want to come down for Memorial Day weekend and hopefully walk to our boat. I was pleasantly surprised to see all the progress they made repairing the walk ways! There is a lot more to do but keep up the good work
We recently went down to Dale Hallow for Father’s Day weekend and to Wolf River Resort and Marina. It was a wonderful weekend with the family, fishing, boating, and enjoying. When a brief, sudden but short, Thunder storm brewed up on Friday I was extremely impressed with how all of the workers banded together and worked quickly to fix any problems that came up due to the storm. The staff at the Marina was really helpful and a pleasure to have take care of us. The rest of the weekend was carefree and easy because we knew we were in good hands. We will definitely be back to this Marina again! Thank you Wolfe River Marina!
A wonderful marina and boating store. They have changed out the restaurant and the menu is not the same. They have gas for your boat and they offer you ice, drinks and snacks. I had a good experience with the service and was impressed with the employees. Check them out sometime soon and see what they can do for you.
Absolutely beautiful scenery with clear water. All of the employees and guests were very helpful and nice. They even made arrangements for a new spot to park my Sister and Brother-in-laws boat due to weather making one of the docks break away from the walkway. Absolutely love it there and didn't want to go back to Indy.
Very poor service. All rental boats,House and pontoon are severy out of date and in constant repair. Cabins and motel rooms are no longer keep in satisfying order
I spent 13 days here with my family for the 2020 Thanksgiving holiday. The cabins are super nice 3 bedrooms. They have all amenities and are freshly renovated. There is WiFi available for visitors but it doesn't reach the two cabins that are furthest from the office. This seemed to be our only downfall, as there isn't any cell service. I believe it was 13 and 14. Other than that all the staff members were extremely friendly, and went out if the way to make sure our visit was as comfortable and happy as could be. The grounds where really clean and bustling with wildlife. I must say this was the best vacation I have ever had in 26 years of adulthood! I will be back many times in the future. As a matter of fact I'm already planning a return trip, to camp in may.
This place is in dire need of some management. They keep building new boat docks yet there are never any slips available. The marina buildings are in disrepair. They’ve been renovating the second floor for years and nothing ever comes out of it. They built new restrooms that are always locked. There are always cars parked so close to the ramp that you have to maneuver around them when trying to back boat into water. They built a new dock in front of the ramp, so it is very challenging to get a pontoon boat in or out. We’ve been coming here for 20 years and thinking of looking elsewhere.
This place is nice, for what it is! If you want a five star hotel this isn't it. I have been going here for years and will continue to do so. I go to fish and play not hobnob with people with their noses in the air.
My family's been going there for over 50 years mom into the ants retired from Ohio to live there they have always made improvements built modern cabins great little restaurant and Dock Store
Great place to camp wonderful time for all members of your family! They even have a little church on the camp grounds it's like a small loving community you never want to leave
Love this place! Great place to make memories as it has cabins to rent, boat slips to rent, or campsites! We have had our house boat parked here for over 5 years and have also docked our pontoon, speed boat, and 2 jet skis! The waters beautiful, the fish plentiful, and the people are great! My Dad, Dave Smith has been here for years and I know he’s safe with these people when he does stay in his boat for the summer! Come check this place out!
The personnel on the dock are great. However, the owner needs to maintain the houseboats. Our houseboat had two broken kitchen chairs, a couch that was so broken down you couldn't even sit on it, and the carpet needs replaced, very dirty.
