The park is very clean and well maintained. The campsites proximity to the water is beautiful and the shower houses were spacious and clean. Everything in me wants to give this place a five star review but they quite possibly have the most treacherous camping spots I’ve ever experienced. They are extremely unlevel. Our group had two campers, and despite our best efforts, multiple blocks and jacks we were not able to actually level either camper. One family ended up sleeping on a steep angle and the other camper had to be jacked up so high that both sets of wheels were completely off the ground and ended up damaging the jacks. If the campground would spend their next budget on actually leveling the pads completely, this place would be an absolute home run.

Amazing! Beautiful location! Bathhouse was clean! Sites were steep but worth the view! Staff were friendly!

This is a beautiful park. Plenty of campsites for RVs and primitive camping. It has canoe and paddle boat rentals as well. Nice big lake, with plenty places to fish off of the bank. Lots of playground areas for the kids. Nice bathrooms with showers in them.

I have tent camped at many campgrounds. Rented many "primitive tent sites" this one had no level surface of any kind. All hillside. Picnic table was only usable on one side unless you wanted it to tip over into the water. We put our little portable grill on top of it, but everything wanted to roll off of that. Air mattress slid around in the tent because we had no other option but to put our tent on the hill. Paid for two nights but only stayed one. Slept in the car on the side of the highway instead. Beautiful campground otherwise, but the tent sites are absolute garbage. Any other primitive tent site that I have stayed at, had at least a small level area for a tent.

Beautiful experience camping here! I hadn't been camping in years and it didn't disappoint!!! Everything was extremely clean including the bathrooms/showers! Very nice place! Lots of nature to look at it. If you want peace of mind, this is the place for you!

It’s a great place to get away and camp, fish, grilling out is possible. They have a lake. You can rent a pavilion for party’s and events!!!

Beautiful lake! We went on a Friday night and sat by the lake, and didn't see any people until around 7:30. Closes at dusk.

Nice camp tbh. The camp grounds go all the way around and are well maintained; however, every site is on a hill. This leads to some inconviences for vehicles w/o 4 wheel drive. Would come again tho fr

Enjoying the beautifully clean manicured grounds. Love taking walks out here.

We absolutely love this campground. We chose site 53, which sits high up and allows a great view of the lake. We saw deer and birds. Very well groomed landscape. The bathrooms were the cleanest we have ever seen. I like that they have the toilet and shower together in one room. Complete privacy!! I wish we lived closer.

This review is for electric camp sites. It's fairly difficult to find a flat area of land to put up an actual tent. We had to use the RV driveway. Spots are almost right on top of each other. It clear it's intended for mostly RV use.

Best camping trip!!! I used to camp and fish at AJ Jolly back in the 80's, when I was a kid. So, naturally, I wanted to give my own kids a great camping experience. The last trip we took was awful (Caesar's Creek) so this time I did my homework and hoped AJ was still as awesome as I remember. I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED!! Making reservations online can be confusing, you don't SEE what you're booking. Well I'm here to give you a bit of info. First off, the absolute BEST spot in this entire park is campsite #24. The whole clump (20-28) is great honestly, and has a playground in it, but that corner is amazing. The ground is a bit sloped, but me being 45 I slept on that ground for 3 nights and never woke up sore. It rained briefly, but the canopy of trees kept us pretty dry. I'm telling you, #24? (or 23, that's right across and about the same. 23 gets the sunrises, 24 gets the sunsets) The fishing was a bit rocky at our site, but my boys and their girlfriends did catch catfish (probably about 8 lbs) and bluegill at our site. This area is about a 4 minute walk to the bath house, and the bath house was always clean. Shower is located in each individual bathroom so it's really nice to be more secure than you see in horror movies. You know what I mean... The open area where anybody can go to the bathroom while you're showering so you never know who's lurking in there. Anyway, depending on the coverage and area you're looking for I'll tell you, out of the 70 some odd sites, the further up the number, the more exposed and farther from the bath house. Sites 15-17 have portapotties right on site. #17 is located at the fishing pier, which anybody can use, so it's cool to be close to the pier, but not if you want privacy. I drove through the whole place and I'll be honest, I didn't pay a great deal of attention to any site past #30 because they were not what I was looking for. Whether the path be too steep to drive up and down, the area be too open and sunny, or the space be too cramped for my party. I cannot say anything negative about those sites, we are not all looking for the same experience. I also rented a shelter (hummingbird, right at the entrance by the 2 playgrounds) for a graduation party and all the shelters I looked at were clean and near the water or close to it, so keep that in mind if you have littles. My boys definitely enjoyed the Frisbee golf course many times ( mostly in the sun) and there were tons of people enjoying the kayaks. I will ABSOLUTELY be going back many many times to enjoy this campground.

Originally booked a site on 35, when got there had a big slope to level out on. Asked if had anything available, ended up getting a little better site, but also had a good slope. The next morning talked with Billy in the office, she did some rearranging and set us up on site7 across lake by the horse stall side, flat ground, alot of space. Turned out to be great. Playground right outside the camp spot. Fire put right off site. Nice view of the lake. Clean bathrooms, no garbage around. Was worth the trip. Thank you Billy Sue. Turned our trip out for the better.

I love coming to AJ Jolly especially due to its close proximity to Cincinnati. The lake is gorgeous and is a great place to relax, fish, and kayak. They also have a frisbee golf course and some other amenities (playground, baseball field, kayak rentals, horse trails, and separate golf course) that I haven’t personally taken advantage of but seem to widely popular. The bathhouses were recently renovated and are some of the nicest I’ve had the pleasure of using. You will not regret a trip to AJ Jolly! A popular tip is that parking is limited to two vehicles (not counting your rig) to each spot. If you have guests they will need to park in the reserve lot at the front of the park and you can shuttle them back and forth as needed. It’s not perfectly convenient, but it keeps the space manageable for everyone.

Our site was absolutely beautiful. It was a great quiet campground during the week, but on the weekend there was a lot of very loud music late into the night. We loved the disc golf and the playgrounds. My only complaint in that regard is there is no where for the kids to walk to and hang out. You have to drive to everything, which requires us not enjoying our down time as parents. Check out my photos to see how beautiful our spot was!

This place was so clean and beautiful. The staff was friendly and helpful. Kayak rental was easy and the dock was in good shape. We will be back!

We recieved a warm welcome and the most accommodating service for a later same night reservation at a scenic campground around a beautiful lake! Billie was so kind and helpful getting us set up with a hammock site with her awesome recommendations! Sunset view was?!✌?

The campsites are slowly being washed away and all tent camping sites are downhill, so you end up rolling around all night long while trying to sleep, which makes the next day of fun very exhausting. I would suggest renting the cabins or camping in a camper instead. They have a beautiful lake you can kayak or canoe in, but swimming is not allowed, which is a bummer but it's still enjoyable on nice days, if you want to rent a boat or bring your own. ???

Site 30 has a great view of the lake. Water & electric (you need extra long cords) backin and you need leveling blocks. Very clean bath house, dump station. Will definitely stay again.

Beautiful Park, especially with all the colorful fall leaves falling everywhere. Took a friend so that he could fish the lake for a bit while my Son and I ran off to the playground. We had a blast!

The lake is beautiful and peaceful. You can rent kayaks or a paddle boat and paddle around the lake. There is great wildlife if you paddle into the coves and are quiet. I have seen beaver, deer, blue herons. There are campsites, a golf course, walking trails, etc. The park is upgrading it bathrooms from port a potties to permanent bathrooms with running water.

It was okay. Fishing line was continually getting stuck, no trails near the campground, and you cannot swim. We went for an adult get away and the people directly next to us had a bunch of kids. Which I get family camping but i left my kids at home for adult night. Would be awesome if there was a way to not camp next to a bunch of kids. Also no flat areas for big tents. 2 person tents are perfect. If you want to set up a big tent expect to be on a hill. You get locked in at 11p.m. also so you cant bring your vehicle back in. They also have a 1 car rule. The view was nice but that's about all I enjoyed here. I did get to enjoy watching a family of deer every morning which made my day. You must be up by 6a.m. to see them.

Amazing, beautiful park with great staff. My husband and I spent one night camping here after having to change our previous plans. We loved it and will definitely be back!

Very walkable, pet friendly- but please make sure to clean up after your pets and use the trashcans the park has provided for proper disposal of waste. Very scenic, can get a bit muddy so be cautious after rainfall. Next to a golf course and camping area (they allow canoes and fishing on the opposite side)

This park has been my saving grace during this pandemic. We visit often, stay safely in our car and enjoy parking near the lake. There's always people to watch on boats or boards. The park is extremely clean and well kept. Campbell Co is lucky to have this gem!!

Love visiting this place. They have kayaks to rent or bring your own. Bikes to rent. Saw people riding horses around the park. Plenty of camping spots for tents, also have some camper spots. There have a golf course as well.Definitely worth the visit even if it’s just to drive around the park and hang out.

I LOVE AJ Jolly park. I am so grateful that we have this beautiful, functional space in our local area. Please, visit and support it's upkeep! AJ offers many lesiure and recreational activities such as walking paths/trails, frisbee golf, bike trails, parks for children, camping sites, grill/cookout areas, kayaking. It is a gorgeous, well-kept park. A good trip there can make you feel like you're on vacation for a few hours!
